Un método para la producción simultanea de un producto sólido de la transformación del sustrato y etanol crudo que comprende los siguientes pasos: preparar un sustrato a partir de biomasa molida o en copos que comprende materia proteinácea proveniente de semillas de soja o canola, o mezclas de las mismas, opcionalmente también mezclada con materia proteinácea proveniente de habas, arvejas, semillas de girasol, lupines, cereales, y/o pastos, mezclar dicho sustrato con levadura viva en una proporción de materia seca de entre 1:1 y 10.000:1 y agregar agua en una cantidad que provea una proporción entre la densidad de la masa húmeda y la densidad de la masa seca de entre 0,60 y 1,45 en la mezcla que se obtiene como resultado; incubar dicha mezcla durante 1 - 48 horas a una temperatura de aproximadamente 20 - 60ºC; y separar el etanol crudo y el sólido húmedo que se obtienen como producto de la transformación de dicha mezcla; que además comprende realizar la incubación como un proceso continuo con flujo pistón en un tanque de incubación cerrado, vertical y sin agitación, con medios de admisión para dicha mezcla y aditivos y medios de salida para el producto sólido de la transformación y etanol crudo.
