Abstract

La presente solicitud se refiere a variantes de a-amilasa que tienen mejorada estabilidad en comparación con la a-amilasa parental. Reivindicación 1: Una variante de una a-amilasa parental, donde dicha variante tiene actividad de a-amilasa y tiene por lo menos 89% de identidad de secuencia con respecto a SEQ ID Nº 1, donde dicha variante comprende un motivo de aminoácido de FX¹X²K (SEQ ID Nº 4) en posiciones correspondientes a los aminoácidos 180 a 183 de SEQ ID Nº 2; donde X¹ es R o S; y X ² puede ser seleccionado de A, R, N, D, C, E, Q, G, H, I, L, K, M, F, P, S, T, W, Y y V, con la condición de que cuando X¹ es R, entonces X² no es S, y donde dicha variante tiene una mejorada Actividad Residual (AR) en comparación con una amilasa que comprende el motivo FRSK.
