Abstract

Los ácidos 4-alcoxi-3-hidroxipicolínicos pueden prepararse en forma conveniente a partir de 2-hidroxipicolinonitrilo en una serie de pasos químicos seleccionados a partir de clorinación, sustitución de cloro, hidrólisis de nitrilo y reducción de cloro. Reivindicación 1: Un procedimiento para la preparación del compuesto de la fórmula (1) en donde R¹ es un alquilo C₁₋₃; a partir del compuesto de la fórmula (2) y que comprende los siguientes pasos: a) crear una primera mezcla al combinar juntos al compuesto de la fórmula (2) y un agente clorinante; b) aislar un compuesto de la fórmula (3) a partir de la primera mezcla; en donde R es H o Cl; c) crear una segunda muestra que contiene un alcóxido de metal álcali de la fórmula (4): MOR¹ (4) en donde M es Na o K, y R¹ es un alquilo C₁₋₃; y el compuesto de la fórmula (3); d) aislar un compuesto de la fórmula (5) de la segunda mezcla en donde R es H o Cl y R¹ es un alquilo C₁₋₃; e) crear una tercera muestra que contiene el compuesto de la fórmula (5), agua, y uno entre un ácido mineral y una base fuerte; f) calentar la tercera mezcla; g) aislar un compuesto de la fórmula (6) de la tercera mezcla, en donde R es H o Cl y R¹ es un alquilo C₁₋₃; h) crear una cuarta mezcla que contiene el compuesto de la fórmula (6) y un agente de reducción; y i) aislar el compuesto de la fórmula (1) de la quinta muestra; en donde R¹ es un alquilo C₁₋₃. Reivindicación 10: Un compuesto seleccionado entre el grupo formado por a) un compuesto de fórmula (7); b) un compuesto de fórmula (8); c) un compuesto de fórmula (9), en donde R¹ es un alquilo C₁₋₃; d) un compuesto de fórmula (10), en donde R¹ es un alquilo C₁₋₃; e) un compuesto de fórmula (11), en donde R¹ es un alquilo C₁₋₃; y f) un compuesto de fórmula (12), en donde R¹ es un alquilo C₁₋₃.
