Abstract
Un dispositivo de administración para medicación nasal que aborda la necesidad de administrar medicación por la nariz de un paciente. En una forma de realización preferida, el dispositivo tiene: un transductor 10 adaptado para orear una zona focal de ultrasonido, una cámara de alimentación 13 que contiene la medicación, una cámara de energización 14 más pequeña que la cámara de alimentación, una malla 15 y una salida 17. El dispositivo se forma de manera tal que cuando se activa, la cámara de alimentación 13 llena continuamente la cámara de energización 14 con medicación (hasta tanto la cámara de alimentación tenga insuficiente medicación remanente para lograr esto) de manera que hay un suministro sustancialmente constante de medicación dentro de la zona focal capaz de ser energizada y forzada fuera de la cámara de energización a fin de ponerse en contacto con la malla, convertirse en un aerosol y dejar el dispositivo por medio de la salida.
