Abstract

Un proceso (10) para la producción de hidróxido de litio, comprendiendo el proceso los pasos de: (i) caustificar el cloruro de litio (12) con hidróxido de sodio (16) para producir un producto de hidróxido de litio; (ii) recoger los sólidos resultantes de la caustificación del paso (i) y filtrarlos (22); (iii) los sólidos filtrados del paso (ii) se pasan a un paso de calentamiento (32) en donde se produce el hidróxido de litio anhidro; (iv) filtrar (34) el producto de hidróxido de litio anhidro del paso (iii); y (v) templar el hidróxido de litio anhidro del paso (iv) con agua para producir cristales de hidróxido de litio monohidratado.
