Abstract
La presente se relaciona con el acido (S)-3-metil-abscísico y los esteres del mismo, y con métodos para usar y preparar estos compuestos. Reivindicación 9: Un proceso para la preparación del compuesto de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1 que comprende: a) hacer reaccionar ácido (S)-abscísico con un agente de alquilación para formar un éster; b) tratar el compuesto obtenido como resultado del Paso a con una base y un agente de metilación en un solvente; c) y opcionalmente hidrolizar los compuestos obtenidos como resultado del Paso b.
