Abstract

Un material de tabaco y un proceso para el tratamiento del tabaco. El proceso comprende encerrar al material de tabaco dentro de un material capaz de retener la humedad y exponer al material de tabaco a una temperatura ambiente de procesamiento de por lo menos aproximadamente 45ºC, donde el tabaco tiene una densidad de compactación de por lo menos 200 kg/m³ en base al peso de materia seca al comienzo del proceso y un contenido de humedad de entre aproximadamente 10% y 15,5%. Las cuentas en placa aeróbica para el material de tabaco tratado tienen un valor de hasta aproximadamente 1000.
