Abstract
Se proporcionan plantas, germoplasma y semillas de poroto de soja que comprende por lo menos un locus natural que confiere tolerancia mejorada al chancro del tallo, marcadores moleculares útiles para identificar y, opcionalmente, seleccionarlas plantas de poroto de soja que muestran tolerancia, tolerancia mejorada o susceptibilidad al chancro del tallo, y métodos de uso. Se proporciona, además, polinucleótidos aislados, sondas, kits, sistemas y similares útiles para realizar los métodos descritos en la presente descripción. Reivindicación 1: Un método para identificar una primera planta o germoplasma de poroto de soja que tiene tolerancia mejorada al chancro del tallo, dicho método comprende detectar en la primera planta o germoplasma de poroto de soja por lo menos un alelo de un locus de rasgo cuantitativo que se asocia con la resistencia al chancro del tallo, en donde dicho locus de rasgo cuantitativo se localiza en un intervalo cromosomal flanqueado por y que incluye los marcadores BARC-013365-00489 y BARCSOYSSR_14_0281 en el grupo de ligamiento B2 (ch 14).
