Abstract
Se divulga un dispositivo y método para reducir y/o prevenir el ensuciamiento de un sensor. El método comprende operar la tecnología de ultrasonido que se sumerge o se sumerge parcialmente en un mecanismo líquido que es responsable del ensuciamiento. El dispositivo comprende la tecnología de ultrasonido en sí misma. La tecnología de ultrasonido puede operarse en forma intermitente a alta intensidad para proporcionar en forma ventajosa la cavitación del medio líquido, mientras se evitan las desventajas típicas de hacer funcionar la tecnología de ultrasonido a alta intensidad. En forma adicional, el método puede llevarse a cabo tomando ventaja de la propiedad piezoeléctrica del cuarzo.
