Abstract

Se describe un procedimiento para licuar una fracción de partida rica en hidrocarburos, preferiblemente de gas contra un circuito de refrigeración por nitrógeno, teniendo lugar el enfriamiento de la fracción de partida contra una corriente de nitrógeno gaseoso a calentar y la licuación de la fracción de partida contra una corriente de nitrógeno líquido, a evaporar. Inventivamente: el enfriamiento y la licuación de la fracción de partida tiene lugar en un proceso de intercambio de calor de al menos tres etapas (E1a - E1c), siendo en una primera sección del proceso de intercambio de calor (E1a) enfriada la fracción de partida (1) contra una comente de nitrógeno gaseosa a sobrecalentar (9) en una medida tal que se puede llevar a cabo una separación sustancialmente completa (D2) de los componentes pesados (2’), siendo en una segunda sección del proceso de intercambio de calor (E1b) licuada parcialmente la fracción de partida (2), liberada de los componentes pesados, contra una corriente de nitrógeno gaseoso a sobrecalentar (9), y siendo licuada en la tercera sección del proceso de intercambio de calor (E1c) la fracción de partida (2) contra una corriente de nitrógeno a evaporar parcialmente (8).
