Abstract

Un sistema de propulsion marina para un velero incluye una carcasa guía que incluye un conducto guía por el que pasa el agua; un elemento de propulsion que posee un cuerpo principal y una hélice; un elemento orientador de torbellino montado en una salida del cuerpo principal y que se extiende hacia atrás; un anillo de direccion horizontal encamisado a un borde periférico de una seccion anterior del elemento orientador de torbellino, un anillo de direccion vertical encamisado a un borde periférico de una seccion posterior del elemento orientador de torbellino; y un deflector guía invertido montado en una cara posterior del elemento orientador de torbellino. Cuando la hélice gira, un flujo de agua ingresa por el conducto guía y luego es presurizado por la hélice para transformarse en un flujo en torbellino expulsado hacia el exterior con el fin de proveer al velero de fuerza de propulsion. De esta forma, el sistema de propulsion marina puede mejorar en gran medida la maniobrabilidad y seguridad del velero.
