Abstract

El presente invento proporciona un proceso continuo para la produccion de 1,2,2,2-éter tetrafluoroetil difluorometilo (desflurano) que comprende la alimentacion en forma continua de cantidades molares optimas de 1-cloro-2,2,2-éter trifluoroetil difluorometilo (CF3CHCIOCHF2, Isoflurano) y fluoruro de hidrogeno anhidro, en un reactor en la fase de vapor sobre un sistema de catalizador de fluorizacion que comprende un pentahaluro metálico absorbido sobre un sustrato de soporte a un temperatura que oscila de 100°C a 180C y separando 1,2,2,2-éter tetrafluoroetil difluorometilo (desflurano) en forma continua del reactor. El proceso del presente invento permite la remocion continua del producto desflurano, por lo tanto minimizando la co-produccion de subproductos y dando por resultado alta eficiencia de conversion y rendimiento de desflurano.
