Abstract
Composiciones de trombina con niveles reducidos de impureza de alto peso molecular. En particular, están muy reducidos los niveles de factor Va, priones y/o agentes virales. También en general a métodos para la preparacion de trombina con alto grado de pureza y elevada actividad específica. Más específicamente, abarca etapas para excluir impurezas de alto peso molecular de las preparaciones de trombina mediante filtracion por exclusion por tamano. En formas de realizacion adicionales, la preparacion de trombina también incluye una etapa de filtracion por intercambio ionico. Los métodos son particularmente adecuados para la purificacion de trombina en gran escala. Además en general a formulaciones estabilizadas que contienen composiciones de trombina. Más específicamente, a formulaciones líquidas estabilizadas que contienen trombina con alto grado de pureza y elevada actividad específica y métodos para preparar y usar dichas formulaciones. Reivindicacion 1: Un método para preparar trombina purificada, caracterizado porque comprende: (a) aplicar una preparacion de trombina a un filtro por exclusion por tamano capaz de excluir impurezas con peso molecular superior a 40 kDa; y (b) recuperar la trombina purificada.
