Abstract
Un aparato (24) dispuesto para monitorear continuamente la forma del borde (21) de una tira (14) de material de hoja de afeitar, que comprende medios de guía (69) dispuestos par guiar la tira (14) del material de hoja de afeitar que pasa a través del aparato (24), un primer sistema láser y un segundo sistema láser, donde dicho segundo sistema láser se encuentra en la proximidad a dicho primer sistema láser, donde el primer sistema láser comprende: un primer detector láser (40a) que incluye un primer proyector (70) dispuesto para proyectar una primer has de láser sobre el borde (21) en una direccion perpendicular a la direccion del movimiento de la tira (14) y perpendicular al borde (21), y un primer detector de perfil (72) dispuesto para detectar una porcion del primer haz de láser que pasa sobre el borde (21) y dispuesto para generar una primer senal que representa la porcion detectada del primer haz de láser; y el segundo sistema láser comprende un segundo detector de láser (40b), que incluye un segundo proyector (70') dispuesto para proyectar un segundo haz de láser sobre el borde (21) en una direccion perpendicular a la direccion del movimiento de la tira (14) y perpendicular al borde de corte (21), y un segundo detector de perfil (72) dispuesto para detectar una porcion de la segundo haz de láser que pasa sobre el borde (21) y que se halla dispuesto para generar una segunda senal que representa la porcion detectada del segundo haz de láser donde el primer proyector de láser (70) y el segundo proyector de láser (70') están posicionados en lados opuestos a la tira (14).
