Abstract

Procedimiento para producir un implante médico a partir de una aleacion de aluminio, por colada de la aleacion de titanio en un molde de colada de precision con forma correspondiente al implante a producir, habiéndose previsto el empleo de una aleacion de titanio-beta, un prensado isostático bajo temperaturas elevadas y finalmente un enfriamiento rápido. También se describe un correspondiente implante médico, el cual está fabricado a partir de una aleacion de titanio en un procesamiento de colada en molde de precision. La aleacion de titanio es una aleacion de titanio-beta y presenta un tamano medio de granos de al menos 0,3 mm. Con ello se logra una fabricacion racional de objetos de aleaciones de titanio-beta mediante el procesamiento de colada en molde de precision. Está dada así la posibilidad de combinar las excelentes características de las aleaciones de titanio-beta, particularmente sus excelentes características mecánicas, con las ventajas de una fabricacion de objetos mediante el procesamiento de colada en molde de precision. También los implantes con formas complejas, como ser partes de fémur (1) de protesis de cadera, los cuales no pueden ser fabricados mediante los procedimientos convencionales de forja o bien no pueden ser fabricados en forma racional, pueden ser fabricados ahora a partir de aleaciones de titanio-beta.
