Abstract

La presente está relacionada con un proceso para la produccion de dioxido de cloro en un aparato que comprende un recipiente de reaccion que sostiene un medio de reaccion y un conducto de circulacion que conduce a través de un calentador para el medio de reaccion, comprendiendo dicho proceso las etapas de: a) mantener continuamente el medio de reaccion a presion subatmosférica y una temperatura suficiente para evaporar el agua; b) hacer circular continuamente el medio de reaccion a través del conducto de circulacion y el calentador; c) hacer reaccionar continuamente el clorato de metal alcalino, el ácido sulfurico y el peroxido de hidrogeno en el medio de reaccion para formar dioxido de cloro, oxígeno y sulfato de metal alcalino; d) introducir clorato de metal alcalino, ácido sulfurico y peroxido de hidrogeno en el medio de reaccion, donde el ácido sulfurico es introducido a través de una entrada en el conducto de circulacion y el peroxido de hidrogeno es introducido a través de una entrada directamente en el recipiente de reaccion o a través de una entrada en el conducto de circulacion corriente abajo de la entrada para el ácido sulfurico a una distancia en la direccion del flujo del mismo de por lo menos aproximadamente el diámetro interno del conducto de circulacion; y e) retirar un gas que comprende dioxido de cloro, oxígeno y agua evaporada. La presente está relacionada también conducto de circulacion un aparato para la produccion de dioxido de cloro.
