Abstract

Una planta transgénica transformada por un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido, relacionado al estrés, de proteínaquinasa similar a la lecitina (LPKSRP), en la que la expresion de la secuencia del ácido nucleico en la planta da por resultado un crecimiento incrementado de la planta y/o una tolerancia incrementada frente a un estrés medioambiental, en comparacion con una variedad de tipo salvaje de la planta. Se proporcionan también productos agrícolas, incluyendo semillas, producidas por las plantas transgénicas. Se proporcionan también LPKSRPs aislados, un ácido nucleico aislado que codifica LPKSRPs, y vectores y células hospedantes que contienen este ultimo.
