Abstract
La presente supera las deficiencias de la técnica previa para proporcionar métodos de selección asistida por marcadores para crear plantas de una variedad de soja que presentan un contenido medio/bajo de ácido linoléico, con un rendimiento significativo para el uso comercial y un fenotipo de elite agronómica. En la presente también se proveen derivados y partes de estas plantas. Además, en la presente se proveen métodos para usar estas plantas. La presente es significativa debido a que el aceite con menor contenido de ácido linoléico presenta numerosas características beneficiosas, a pesar de que las variedades de la técnica previa con menor contenido de ácido linoléico también presentaron menor rendimiento y una calidad agronómica pobre.
