Abstract
La invención supera las deficiencias del arte previo proporcionando una planta de soja agronómicamente superior con mutaciones no transgénicas adjudicando un fenotipo Gy3 y Gy4 nulo, y aumentando el contenido de beta-conglicinina en la semilla. La invención también proporciona subproductos, y partes de plantas de estas plantas y sus usos derivados. Se proporcionan métodos para selección asistida de marcadores de variedades de soja que comprenden mutaciones no transgénicas que otorgan fenotipos reducidos Gy1, Gy2, Gy3, Gy4 y Gy5. Se proporcionan métodos de producción de tales plantas. La invención es significativaen que la soja que proviene de estas plantas son preferidas como aditivos en los regímenes dietéticos y proporcionan un importante beneficio para la salud.
