Abstract
La presente provee un método para obtener una aleación de uranio-molibdeno que provee una reactividad aumentada en reactores nucleares de investigación, de prueba y de producción de radioisótopos. En esta aleación de uranio-molibdeno, el uranio está enriquecido en el isótopo 253-U, mientras que el molibdeno está empobrecido en el isótopo 95-Mo. La reactividad aumentada obtenida de ese modo puede tener al menos dos ventajas, dependiendo del uso exacto del elemento combustible: un requerimiento menor de uranio en el combustible; el uso de los elementos combustibles durante un período más largo en el reactor.
