Abstract

Un proceso de coquización retardada en el cual sustancialmente la totalidad del coque producido es coque anisotrópico suelto en forma de granalla. Se trata a una materia prima de alimentación para coquizadora, como por ejemplo un residuo al vacío, con un agente oxidante tal como aire, para aumentar el nivel de uno o más asfaltenos, polares y grupos oxigenados orgánicamente enlazados. Luego se calienta la materia prima de alimentación oxidada a temperaturas de coquización y se la hace pasar al tambor de una coquizadora durante una cantidad de tiempo efectiva para permitir que evolucionen los volátiles y producir un coque anisotrópico en granalla sustancialmente suelto.
