Abstract

Un método y un aparato para sintetizar por lo menos uno de oxidos de alquileno y alquilenglicoles, a partir de alcanos inferior y/o alquenos inferiores: En la modalidad preferida, el aparato incluye un suministro de alcano/alqueno inferiores; un suministro de oxígeno para proveer una fuente de oxígeno, y un reactor catalítico de oxido metálico. El reactor catalítico de oxido metálico incluye una cámara de reactor y un catalizador en la cámara, para hacer reaccionar el suministro de alcano/alqueno inferiores con la fuente de oxígeno, para convertir el alcano/alqueno inferior, mediante oxidacion parcial selectiva, a por lo menos uno de los oxidos de alquileno y alquilenglicoles. También, en la modalidad preferida, un separador, situado corriente abajo del reactor, separa los oxidos de alquileno y los alquilenglicoles de la corriente total de producto y de los reactivos sin convertir.
