Abstract

Un proceso para preparar un soporte de catalizador o un catalizador de metal del Grupo VIII soportado o un precursor del catalizador de metal del Grupo VIII soportado, dicho proceso comprendiendo: (a) ejercer fuerza mecánica sobre una mezcla que comprende un oxido refractario y un primer líquido para obtener una masa; (b) mezclar la masa con un segundo líquido para obtener una mezcla pastosa; (c) conformar y secar la mezcla pastosa, y (d) calcinar, quedando entendido que, si se prepara un catalizador de metal del Grupo VIII soportado o un precursor del catalizador de metal del Grupo VIII soportado, un compuesto precursor del metal del Grupo VIII o el metal del Grupo VIII propiamente dicho está presente como un componente adicional en el paso (a) o paso (b). Adicionalmente, un soporte de catalizador, un catalizador de metal del Grupo VIII soportado y un precursor del catalizador de metal del Grupo VIII soportado que pueden ser obtenidos por dicho proceso; el uso de dicho catalizador de metal del Grupo VIII soportado en un proceso químico de tres fases; y un proceso para producir hidrocarburos, dicho proceso comprendiendo poner en contacto una mezcla de monoxido de carbono e hidrogeno a temperatura y presion elevadas con dicho catalizador de metal del Grupo VIII soportado, en donde el metal del grupo VIII está por lo menos parcialmente en forma metálica.
