Abstract

Una batería de metal-aire (1) incluye: (a) un ánodo (2); (b) un cátodo (4) con un metal que reduce oxígeno; (c) una carcasa (10, 20) para el ánodo y el cátodo con un acceso de aire (80) el cual permite que el oxígeno se ponga en contacto con el cátodo; (d) un separador (70) entre el ánodo (2) y el cátodo (4); y (e) un catalizador de recombinacion de hidrogeno (6) dentro de la carcasa (10). El catalizador de recombinacion de hidrogeno (6) puede incluir un metal Pd, Pt, Ru o una sal del mismo, y CuO.
