Abstract

Un método para generar energía de fuel oil residual que es desasfaltado con un flujo de vapor de proceso para producir un corriente de petroleodesasfaltado, una corriente de alquitrán, y una corriente de condensado desasfaltante. La corriente de petroleo desasfaltado es quemada en un gaspresurizado que lleva oxígeno para producir una corriente de gas caliente presurizado. La corriente de gas caliente presurizado se hace expandir en unaturbina que produce potencia en el eje y una corriente de gas expandido. La corriente de gas expandido es enfriada transfiriendo calor de la misma a unflujo de agua de alimentacion que se convierte en vapor. Una porcion del vapor se convierte en por lo menos parte del flujo de vapor de proceso que se utilizapara desasfaltar el fuel oil residual, integrándose de este modo el desasfaltado y la generacion de vapor.
