Abstract

Opisani su postupci za smanjivanje sadržaja i sprečavanje formiranja karcinogenih nitrozamina u ubranim listovima biljaka takvih kao duvan i marihuana. Postupci se odnose na podvrgavanje biljaka mikrotalasnom i/ili zračenju višim frekvencijama, pri odredjenom protoku vremena tokom ciklusa obrade. Sa duvanom se mogu napraviti proizvodi pogodni za ljudsku upotrebu, takvi kao cigarete, cigare itd. u skladu sa predmetnim pronalaskom, a koji imaju sadržaj duvanski-specifični nitrozamina na nivou kao kod sveže-ubranog, zelenog duvana. U poželjnim ostvarenjima, dobijeni duvanski proizvodi su sušeni, zlatno-žuti listovi sa skoro zanemarljivim količinma poznatih karcinogenih NNN i NNK u poredjenju sa konvencionalno sušenim duvanom.Methods for reducing the content and preventing the formation of carcinogenic nitrosamines in harvested leaves of plants such as tobacco and marijuana are described. The procedures relate to subjecting the plants to microwave and / or radiation at higher frequencies, at a certain flow of time during the processing cycle. With tobacco, products suitable for human consumption, such as cigarettes, cigars, etc., can be made. in accordance with the present invention, having a tobacco-specific nitrosamine content at a level similar to that of freshly harvested, green tobacco. In preferred embodiments, the resulting tobacco products are dried, golden-yellow leaves with almost negligible amounts of known carcinogenic NNNs and NNKs compared to conventionally dried tobacco.
