Abstract

Description

過電流保護装置、及びモータ制御装置
 本発明は、過電流保護装置、及びモータ制御装置に関する。
 近年、モータの駆動を制御するモータ制御装置では、スイッチング素子を含むインバータ回路に流れる過電流を検出して、スイッチング素子を過電流から保護する過電流保護装置を備えている。このような従来の過電流保護装置では、インバータ回路の駆動ノイズによって、過電流検出の誤動作が発生しないように、ローパスフィルタを搭載している。

 しかしながら、上述した従来の過電流保護装置では、例えば、インバータ回路のスイッチング素子をPWM制御により駆動する場合に、PWM制御のDUTYによっては、通電期間が短くなり、ローパスフィルタによって、過電流の検出信号がフィルタリングされて、過電流の検出ができない場合があった。
 本発明は、上記問題を解決すべくなされたもので、その目的は、PWM制御により駆動する場合に、過電流を正常に検出し、スイッチング素子を過電流から保護することができる過電流保護装置、及びモータ制御装置を提供することにある。
 上記問題を解決するために、本発明の一態様は、スイッチング素子のスイッチングによりモータの駆動信号を生成するインバータ部の前記スイッチング素子の駆動信号を出力する駆動回路部と、前記インバータ部に流れる電流を検出する電流検出部と、前記電流検出部が検出した電流が第1閾値以上である場合に、所定の周波数以上の信号成分を除去した第1過電流検出信号を出力して、前記駆動回路部による前記スイッチング素子の駆動信号の出力を停止させる第1過電流保護部と、前記電流検出部が検出した電流が第2閾値以上である場合に、第2過電流検出信号を出力する第2過電流保護部と、前記駆動回路部を介して、PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)制御を含む前記モータの駆動制御を行い、前記PWM制御を行っている際に、前記第2過電流保護部から前記第2過電流検出信号を受信した場合に、前記PWM制御のデューティを制限するモータ制御部とを備える過電流保護装置である。
 また、本発明の一態様は、上記の過電流保護装置において、前記第2閾値は、前記第1閾値より大きい値であり、前記モータ制御部は、前記第2過電流検出信号を受信した場合に、前記インバータ部に流れる電流が低減するように、前記PWM制御のデューティを所定の値以下に制限してもよい。
 また、本発明の一態様は、上記の過電流保護装置において、前記第2過電流保護部は、前記第2過電流検出信号を一定期間保持するように遅延させて出力する遅延回路を含んでいてもよい。
 また、本発明の一態様は、上記の過電流保護装置において、前記モータ制御部は、前記第2過電流検出信号が第1電圧以上である場合に、前記PWM制御のデューティを制限し、前記第2過電流検出信号が前記第1電圧より低い第2電圧以下になった場合に、前記PWM制御のデューティの制限を解除してもよい。
 また、本発明の一態様は、上記の過電流保護装置において、前記駆動回路部と、前記第1過電流保護部とは、専用集積回路により、一体構成されていてもよい。
 また、本発明の一態様は、スイッチング素子のスイッチングによりモータの駆動信号を生成するインバータ部と、前記インバータ部の前記スイッチング素子の駆動信号を出力する駆動回路部と、前記インバータ部に流れる電流を検出する電流検出部と、前記電流検出部が検出した電流が第1閾値以上である場合に、所定の周波数以上の信号成分を除去した第1過電流検出信号を出力して、前記駆動回路部による前記スイッチング素子の駆動信号の出力を停止させる第1過電流保護部と、前記電流検出部が検出した電流が第2閾値以上である場合に、第2過電流検出信号を出力する第2過電流保護部と、前記駆動回路部を介して、PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)制御を含む前記モータの駆動制御を行い、前記PWM制御を行っている際に、前記第2過電流保護部から前記第2過電流検出信号を受信した場合に、前記PWM制御のデューティを制限するモータ制御部とを備えるモータ制御装置である。
 本発明によれば、第1過電流保護部が、電流検出部が検出したインバータ部に流れる電流が第1閾値以上である場合に、所定の周波数以上の信号成分を除去した第1過電流検出信号を出力して、駆動回路部によるスイッチング素子の駆動信号の出力を停止させる。第2過電流保護部は、電流検出部が検出した電流が第2閾値以上である場合に、第2過電流検出信号を出力する。モータ制御部は、PWM制御を行っている際に、第2過電流保護部から第2過電流検出信号を受信した場合に、PWM制御のデューティを制限する。これにより、過電流保護装置は、第1過電流保護部により、過電流異常が発生した場合に、スイッチングノイズの影響を除去した第1過電流検出信号により、素早く駆動信号の出力を停止できるとともに、第2過電流保護部により、PWM制御により駆動する場合に、過電流を正常に検出し、スイッチング素子を過電流から保護することができる。

 以下、本発明の一実施形態による過電流保護装置、及びモータ制御装置について、図面を参照して説明する。
 図1は、本実施形態によるモータ制御装置100の一例を示す概略ブロック図である。
 図1に示すように、モータ制御装置100は、インバータ部10と、過電流保護装置1とを備える。また、モータ制御装置100には、スイッチ部3を介して、バッテリ4が接続されているとともに、モータ2が接続されている。
 モータ2は、例えば、スターターモータとACG(交流発電機)を一体化させクランクと直結したACGスターターである。ここで、クランクシャフトは、例えば、自動二輪車の内燃機関(エンジン)の回転軸に接続された回転子である。
 バッテリ4は、例えば、鉛蓄電池であり、-(マイナス)電極(負極)が、グランド端子(電源線L2)に接続されており、+(プラス)電極(正極)が、スイッチ32を介して、電源線L1に接続されている。バッテリ4の+電極は、スイッチ部3に接続されている。
 スイッチ部3は、例えば、自動二輪車などの車両のメインスイッチであり、利用者の手動によるオン状態(接続状態)とオフ状態(非接続状態)とに切り替えられる。スイッチ部3は、スイッチ31とスイッチ32とを備える。
 スイッチ31は、第1端がバッテリ4の+電極に、第2端がモータ制御装置100の内部電源を供給するBATT(+)端子に、それぞれ接続されている。
 スイッチ32は、例えば、メインスイッチであり、第1端がバッテリ4の+電極に、第2端がインバータ部10の電源線L1(P(+)端子)に、それぞれ接続されている。スイッチ32は、モータ2の駆動電力の供給する際、及びバッテリ4に充電する際に、オン状態にされる。
 インバータ部10は、スイッチング素子20(21~26)のスイッチングによりモータ2の駆動信号を生成する。また、インバータ部10は、バッテリ4を充電する際に、モータ2が出力する交流信号を整流して、直流の充電電力を生成する。
 インバータ部10は、スイッチング素子21~スイッチング素子26と、シャント抵抗11とを備える。なお、本実施形態において、スイッチング素子21~スイッチング素子26は、単にインバータ部10が備えるスイッチング素子を示す場合、又は、特に区別しない場合に、スイッチング素子20として説明する。
 スイッチング素子20は、例えば、N型MOSFET(Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor)であり、スイッチングされることにより、モータ2の駆動信号を生成する。
 スイッチング素子21、スイッチング素子23、及びスイッチング素子25は、モータ2をスターターモータとして使用する場合に、スターターモータを駆動するハイサイド(ハイ側)のスイッチング素子である。
 また、スイッチング素子22、スイッチング素子24、及びスイッチング素子26は、モータ2をスターターモータとして使用する場合に、スターターモータを駆動するロウサイド(ロウ側)のスイッチング素子である。
 スイッチング素子21は、ドレイン端子が電源線L1に、ソース端子がノードN1に、制御端子(ゲート端子)が、後述する駆動回路部41が出力する駆動信号線に接続されている。
 スイッチング素子21には、ソース端子からドレイン端子方向に順方向のダイオードD1が接続されている。なお、ダイオードD1は、スイッチング素子21のボディダイオード(寄生ダイオード)であってもよい。
 スイッチング素子22は、ドレイン端子がノードN1に、ソース端子がノードN4に、制御端子(ゲート端子)が、後述する駆動回路部41が出力する駆動信号線に接続されている。なお、ノードN1は、モータ2をスターターモータとして駆動する際のU相駆動信号の信号線である。
 スイッチング素子22には、ソース端子からドレイン端子方向に順方向のダイオードD2が接続されている。なお、ダイオードD2は、スイッチング素子22のボディダイオード(寄生ダイオード)であってもよい。
 スイッチング素子23は、ドレイン端子が電源線L1に、ソース端子がノードN2に、制御端子(ゲート端子)が、後述する駆動回路部41が出力する駆動信号線に接続されている。
 スイッチング素子23には、ソース端子からドレイン端子方向に順方向のダイオードD3が接続されている。なお、ダイオードD3は、スイッチング素子23のボディダイオード(寄生ダイオード)であってもよい。
 スイッチング素子24は、ドレイン端子がノードN2に、ソース端子がノードN4に、制御端子(ゲート端子)が、後述する駆動回路部41が出力する駆動信号線に接続されている。なお、ノードN2は、モータ2をスターターモータとして駆動する際のV相駆動信号の信号線である。
 スイッチング素子24には、ソース端子からドレイン端子方向に順方向のダイオードD4が接続されている。なお、ダイオードD4は、スイッチング素子24のボディダイオード(寄生ダイオード)であってもよい。
 スイッチング素子25は、ドレイン端子が電源線L1に、ソース端子がノードN3に、制御端子(ゲート端子)が、後述する駆動回路部41が出力する駆動信号線に接続されている。
 スイッチング素子25には、ソース端子からドレイン端子方向に順方向のダイオードD5が接続されている。なお、ダイオードD5は、スイッチング素子25のボディダイオード(寄生ダイオード)であってもよい。
 スイッチング素子26は、ドレイン端子がノードN3に、ソース端子がノードN4に、制御端子(ゲート端子)が、後述する駆動回路部41が出力する駆動信号線に接続されている。なお、ノードN3は、モータ2をスターターモータとして駆動する際のW相駆動信号の信号線である。
 スイッチング素子26には、ソース端子からドレイン端子方向に順方向のダイオードD6が接続されている。なお、ダイオードD6は、スイッチング素子26のボディダイオード(寄生ダイオード)であってもよい。
 シャント抵抗11(電流検出部の一例)は、電源線L2(N(-)端子)とノードN4との間に配置され、インバータ部10に流れる電流を検出する。シャント抵抗11は、インバータ部10に流れる電流を、シャント抵抗11の両端の電位差として検出する。
 過電流保護装置1は、モータ制御部30と、カスタムIC40と、過電流保護部50とを備える。
 モータ制御部30は、例えば、CPU(Central Processing Unit)を含むプロセッサであり、モータ2の制御及びバッテリ4の充電を制御する。モータ制御部30は、駆動回路部41を介して、PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)制御を含むモータ2の駆動制御を行う。
 モータ制御部30は、モータ2のPWM制御を行う場合に、各スイッチング素子20のPWM信号を、目標のモータ2の回転状態に応じて生成し、駆動回路部41を介して、各スイッチング素子20に供給する。モータ制御部30は、PWM制御を行っている際に、後述する過電流保護部50から過電流検出信号DS2(第2過電流検出信号)を受信した場合に、PWM制御のデューティを制限する。モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2を受信した場合に、例えば、PWM制御のデューティが低くなるように(スイッチング素子20のオン期間が短くなるように)制限する。すなわち、モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2を受信した場合に、インバータ部10に流れる電流が低減するように、PWM制御のデューティを所定の値以下(例えば、80%以下)に制限する。
 なお、本実施形態において、モータ制御部30が過電流検出信号DS2を受信した、又は、過電流検出信号DS2を出力するとは、過電流検出信号DS2の信号線に、例えば、過電流異常を検出したことを示すHigh状態(H状態)を検出した、又はHigh状態(H状態)を出力することとする。
 モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が電圧V1以上(第1電圧以上)である場合に、PWM制御のデューティを制限する。また、モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が電圧V2以下(第2電圧以下)になった場合に、PWM制御のデューティの制限を解除する。ここで、電圧V2(第2電圧)は、電圧V1(第1電圧)より低い。すなわち、モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が電圧V1以上でH状態を検出し、電圧V2以下でLow状態(L状態)を検出する。
 また、モータ制御部30は、モータ2をACG(交流発電機)として使用する場合に、U相駆動信号の信号線、V相駆動信号の信号線、及びW相駆動信号の信号線に出力される発電出力である交流信号を整流するように、駆動回路部41を介して、各スイッチング素子20のスイッチングを制御する。
 モータ制御部30は、制御信号CPU_HGxと、制御信号CPU_LGxと、制御信号CPU_PWMとをカスタムIC40に出力する。制御信号CPU_HGxは、ハイサイド(ハイ側)のスイッチング素子20(スイッチング素子21、スイッチング素子23、及びスイッチング素子25)を制御するための制御信号である。また、制御信号CPU_LGxは、ロウサイド(ロウ側)のスイッチング素子20(スイッチング素子22、スイッチング素子24、及びスイッチング素子26)を制御するための制御信号である。また、制御信号CPU_PWMは、PWM制御のための制御信号であり、例えば、デューティを制御するための制御信号である。
 カスタムIC40は、インバータ部10のスイッチング素子20を駆動するための駆動信号を生成するとともに、インバータ部10の過電流検出を行う専用IC(Integrated Circuit)である。カスタムIC40は、駆動回路部41と、過電流保護部42とを備える。カスタムIC40は、専用集積回路の一例であり、駆動回路部41と、過電流保護部42とは、専用集積回路により、一体構成されている。
 駆動回路部41は、インバータ部10のスイッチング素子20の駆動信号を出力する。駆動回路部41は、モータ制御部30が出力する制御信号CPU_HGx、制御信号CPU_LGx、及び制御信号CPU_PWMに基づいて、各スイッチング素子20をスイッチングさせるための駆動信号を生成し、各スイッチング素子20に供給する。駆動回路部41は、インバータ部10に駆動電圧(電源線L1の電圧-電源線L2の電圧)に応じた駆動信号にレベル変換する。
 また、駆動回路部41は、後述する過電流保護部42から、過電流を検出したことを示す過電流検出信号DS1が出力された場合に、インバータ部10のスイッチング素子20(スイッチング素子21~スイッチング素子26)の駆動信号の出力を停止する。駆動回路部41は、例えば、ハイサイド(ハイ側)のスイッチング素子20(スイッチング素子21、スイッチング素子23、及びスイッチング素子25)をオフ状態に固定するとともに、ロウサイド(ロウ側)のスイッチング素子20(スイッチング素子22、スイッチング素子24、及びスイッチング素子26)をオン状態に固定して、スイッチング素子20のスイッイングを停止させる。
 なお、本実施形態において、過電流検出信号DS1が出力されるとは、過電流検出信号DS1の信号線に、例えば、過電流異常を検出したことを示すHigh状態(H状態)が出力されたこととする。
 過電流保護部42(第1過電流保護部)は、シャント抵抗11が検出した電流が第1閾値以上である場合に、所定の周波数以上の信号成分を除去した過電流検出信号DS1を出力して、駆動回路部41によるスイッチング素子20の駆動信号の出力を停止させる。また、過電流保護部42は、オペアンプ421と、定電圧電源422と、コンパレータ423と、デジタルフィルタ424とを備える。
 オペアンプ421は、シャント抵抗11の両端の電位差を増幅した出力信号Oampを出力する。なお、出力信号Oampは、コンパレータ423の+端子(非反転入力端子)に供給されるとともに、後述する過電流保護部50に供給されry。
 定電圧電源422は、上述した第1閾値の電流に対応した閾値電圧を定電圧として出力する定電圧生成回路である。
 コンパレータ423は、オペアンプ421の出力信号Oampと、定電圧電源422が出力する閾値電圧とを比較し、出力信号Oampが閾値電圧以上である場合に、High状態(H状態)をデジタルフィルタ424に出力する。
 デジタルフィルタ424は、コンパレータ423の出力に対して、所定の周波数以上の信号成分を除去した過電流検出信号DS1を生成し、駆動回路部41に出力する。デジタルフィルタ424は、デジタル信号処理によるローパスフィルタである。ここで、所定の周波数は、例えば、PWM制御の周波数を除去範囲に含む周波数である。
 過電流保護部50(第2過電流保護部の一例)は、シャント抵抗11が検出した電流が第2閾値以上である場合に、過電流検出信号DS2(第2過電流検出信号)を出力する。ここで、第2閾値は、上述した第1閾値より大きい値である。
 過電流保護部50は、抵抗51及び抵抗52と、コンパレータ53と、RCフィルタ54とを備える。
 抵抗51及び抵抗52は、直列に接続されており、抵抗分圧により抵抗51及び抵抗52の中点のノードN6に、上述した第2閾値の電流値に対応する閾値電圧を生成する。
 コンパレータ53は、オペアンプ421の出力信号Oampと、ノードN6の閾値電圧とを比較し、出力信号Oampが閾値電圧以上である場合に、Low状態(L状態)をRCフィルタ54に出力する。
 RCフィルタ54(遅延回路の一例)は、抵抗Rと静電容量CとのRC回路を用いた反転遅延回路である。RCフィルタ54は、過電流検出信号DS2を一定期間保持するように遅延させて出力する。RCフィルタ54は、コンパレータ53の出力を反転させて、H状態を一定期間保持するように遅延させて出力する。
 次に、図面を参照して、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1の動作について説明する。
 図2は、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1の動作の一例を示すタイミングチャートである。
 図2において、波形W1は、本実施形態におけるインバータ部10の電流値の波形を示し、波形W2は、従来技術におけるインバータ部10の電流値の波形を示している。また、波形W3は、本実施形態におけるオペアンプ421の出力Oampの電圧値の波形を示し、波形W2は、従来技術におけるオペアンプ421の出力Oampの電圧値の波形を示している。また、波形W5は、本実施形態における過電流検出信号DS2の電圧波形を示し、波形W6は、本実施形態における制御信号CPU_PWMの波形を示している。
 また、各グラフの横軸は、共通の時間を示している。
 また、図2において、時刻T1以前の期間TR1は、PWM制御を行っていない期間を示し、時刻T1以降の期間TR2は、PWM制御を行っている期間を示している。
 図2に示すように、PWM制御を行っていない期間TR1において、シャント抵抗11により検出したインバータ部10に流れる電流が、閾値Ith1(第1閾値)以上になった場合(波形W1参照)に、過電流保護部42が、過電流検出信号DS1を出力し、駆動回路部41が、スイッチング素子20のスイッチングを停止する(波形W3参照)。
 また、インバータ部10に流れる電流が低下して、閾値Ith1_r以下になった場合(波形W1参照)に、駆動回路部41が、スイッチング素子20のスイッチングを再開する(波形W3参照)。
 また、PWM制御を行っている期間TR2において、デジタルフィルタ424によりPWM制御が除去されるため、インバータ部10に流れる電流が、閾値Ith1(第1閾値)以上になっても過電流検出信号DS1が出力されずに、スイッチング素子20のスイッチングが維持される。また、インバータ部10に流れる電流が、閾値Ith2(第2閾値)以上になった場合(波形W1参照)に、過電流保護部50が、過電流検出信号DS2を出力し、モータ制御部30が、PWM制御のデューティを制限する(波形W6参照)。
 この場合、過電流検出信号DS2が電圧V1以上になった場合(波形W5参照)に、モータ制御部30が、PWM制御のデューティを制限する(波形W6参照)。
 また、インバータ部10に流れる電流が、閾値Ith2(第2閾値)未満になって(波形W1参照)、過電流検出信号DS2が電圧V2以下になった場合(波形W5参照)に、モータ制御部30が、PWM制御のデューティの制限を解除する(波形W6参照)。
 図2に示す例では、時刻T2から時刻T3までの期間TR3と、時刻T4から時刻T5までの期間TR4とが、PWM制御のデューティが制限された期間に対応する。期間TR3及び期間TR4において、PWM制御のデューティが制限されるため、インバータ部10に流れる電流が低下する(波形W1参照)。
 なお、従来技術の過電流保護装置では、過電流保護部50を備えていないため、PWM制御において過電流の検出ができずに、波形W2及び波形W4のような動作となる。
 次に、図3を参照して、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1のモータ制御部30の動作の詳細について説明する。
 図3は、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1の動作の一例を示すフローチャートである。
 図3に示すように、過電流保護装置1のモータ制御部30は、まず、PWM制御中であるか否かを判定する(ステップS101)。モータ制御部30は、PWM制御中である場合(ステップS101:YES)に、処理をステップS102に進める。また、モータ制御部30は、PWM制御中でない場合(ステップS101:NO)に、処理をステップS101に戻す。
 ステップS102において、モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が、電圧V1以上であるか否かを判定する。モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が、電圧V1以上である場合(ステップS102:YES)に、処理をステップS103に進める。また、モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が、電圧V1未満である場合(ステップS102:NO)に、処理をステップS104に進める。
 ステップS103において、モータ制御部30は、PWM制御のDUTY(デューティ)を制限する。ステップS103の処理後に、モータ制御部30は、処理をステップS101に戻す。
 ステップS104において、モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が、電圧V2以下であるか否かを判定する。モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が、電圧V2以下である場合(ステップS104:YES)に、処理をステップS105に進める。また、モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が、電圧V2より大きい場合(ステップS104:NO)に、処理をステップS101に戻す。
 ステップS105において、モータ制御部30は、PWM制御のDUTY(デューティ)の制限を解除する。ステップS105の処理後に、モータ制御部30は、処理をステップS101に戻す。
 以上説明したように、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1は、駆動回路部41と、シャント抵抗11(電流検出部)と、過電流保護部42(第1過電流保護部)と、過電流保護部50(第2過電流保護部)と、モータ制御部30とを備える。駆動回路部41は、スイッチング素子20(21~26)のスイッチングによりモータ2の駆動信号を生成するインバータ部10のスイッチング素子20(21~26)の駆動信号を出力する。シャント抵抗11は、インバータ部10に流れる電流を検出する。過電流保護部42は、シャント抵抗11が検出した電流が第1閾値以上(閾値Ith1以上)である場合に、所定の周波数以上の信号成分を除去した過電流検出信号DS1(第1過電流検出信号)を出力して、駆動回路部41によるスイッチング素子20(21~26)の駆動信号の出力を停止させる。過電流保護部50は、シャント抵抗11が検出した電流が第2閾値以上(閾値Ith2以上)である場合に、過電流検出信号DS2(第2過電流検出信号)を出力する。モータ制御部30は、駆動回路部41を介して、PWM制御を含むモータ2の駆動制御を行い、PWM制御を行っている際に、過電流保護部50から過電流検出信号DS2を受信した場合に、PWM制御のデューティを制限する。
 これにより、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1は、過電流保護部42により、過電流異常が発生した場合に、スイッチングノイズの影響を除去した過電流検出信号DS1により、素早く駆動信号の出力を停止できるとともに、過電流保護部50により、PWM制御により駆動する場合に、過電流を正常に検出し、スイッチング素子20を過電流から保護することができる。また、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1は、過電流を正常に検出しつつ、モータ2の出力を無駄に制限せずに効率よく駆動することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、第2閾値(閾値Ith2)は、第1閾値(閾値Ith1)より大きい値である。モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2を受信した場合に、インバータ部10に流れる電流が低減するように、PWM制御のデューティを所定の値以下(例えば、80%以下)に制限する。
 これにより、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1は、PWM制御のデューティを制限する簡易な手法により、過電流を抑制しつつ、モータ2を適切に駆動することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、過電流保護部50は、過電流検出信号DS2を一定期間保持するように遅延させて出力するRCフィルタ54(遅延回路)を含む。
 これにより、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1は、ノイズによる過電流検出の誤動作及び誤検出を低減することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が電圧V1以上(第1電圧以上)である場合に、PWM制御のデューティを制限する。また、モータ制御部30は、過電流検出信号DS2が電圧V1より低い電圧V2以下(第2電圧以下)になった場合に、PWM制御のデューティの制限を解除する。
 これにより、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1は、PWM制御のデューティの制限及び解除にヒステリシスを持たせることで、さらにノイズによる過電流検出の誤動作及び誤検出を低減することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、駆動回路部41と、過電流保護部42とは、専用集積回路により、一体構成されている。
 これにより、本実施形態による過電流保護装置1は、従来技術のカスタムIC40などを利用して、PWM制御により駆動する場合に、容易に過電流を正常に検出し、スイッチング素子20を過電流から保護することができる。
 また、本実施形態によるモータ制御装置100は、インバータ部10と、駆動回路部41と、シャント抵抗11と、過電流保護部42と、過電流保護部50と、モータ制御部30とを備える。インバータ部10は、スイッチング素子20(21~26)のスイッチングによりモータ2の駆動信号を生成する。駆動回路部41は、インバータ部10のスイッチング素子20(21~26)の駆動信号を出力する。シャント抵抗11は、インバータ部10に流れる電流を検出する。過電流保護部42は、シャント抵抗11が検出した電流が閾値Ith1以上(第1閾値以上)である場合に、所定の周波数以上の信号成分を除去した過電流検出信号DS1を出力して、駆動回路部41によるスイッチング素子20(21~26)の駆動信号の出力を停止させる。過電流保護部50は、シャント抵抗11が検出した電流が閾値Ith2以上(第2閾値以上)である場合に、過電流検出信号DS2を出力する。モータ制御部30は、駆動回路部41を介して、PWM制御を含むモータ2の駆動制御を行い、PWM制御を行っている際に、過電流保護部50から過電流検出信号DS2を受信した場合に、PWM制御のデューティを制限する。
 これにより、本実施形態によるモータ制御装置100は、上述した過電流保護装置1と同様の効果を奏し、過電流保護部42により、過電流異常が発生した場合に、スイッチングノイズの影響を除去した過電流検出信号DS1により、素早く駆動信号の出力を停止できるとともに、過電流保護部50により、PWM制御により駆動する場合に、過電流を正常に検出し、スイッチング素子20を過電流から保護することができる。
 なお、本発明は、上記の実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で変更可能である。
 例えば、上記の実施形態において、カスタムIC40の外部に、過電流保護部50を備える例を説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、カスタムIC40に、過電流保護部50を含める構成であってもよい。
 また、上記の実施形態において、モータ2は、スターターモータとACG(交流発電機)を一体化させたACGスターターである例を説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、ACG(交流発電機)を含まないモータであってもよい。
 また、上記の実施形態において、過電流保護装置1及びモータ制御装置100は、自動二輪車などの車両用途に使用される例を説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、他の用途に適用されてもよい。
 また、上記の実施形態において、スイッチング素子20が、N型MOSFETである例を説明したがこれに限定されるものではなく、他のスイッチング素子を適用してもよい。
 また、上記の実施形態において、電流検出部の一例として、シャント抵抗11を用いる例を説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、他の手法の電流検出部を用いてもよい。
 なお、上述の過電流保護装置1及びモータ制御装置100は内部に、コンピュータシステムを有している。そして、上述した過電流保護装置1及びモータ制御装置100の処理過程は、プログラムの形式でコンピュータ読み取り可能な記録媒体に記憶されており、このプログラムをコンピュータが読み出して実行することによって、上記処理が行われる。ここでコンピュータ読み取り可能な記録媒体とは、磁気ディスク、光磁気ディスク、CD-ROM、DVD-ROM、半導体メモリ等をいう。
 また、このコンピュータプログラムを通信回線によってコンピュータに配信し、この配信を受けたコンピュータが当該プログラムを実行するようにしてもよい。

Claims (6)

  1.  スイッチング素子のスイッチングによりモータの駆動信号を生成するインバータ部の前記スイッチング素子の駆動信号を出力する駆動回路部と、
     前記インバータ部に流れる電流を検出する電流検出部と、
     前記電流検出部が検出した電流が第1閾値以上である場合に、所定の周波数以上の信号成分を除去した第1過電流検出信号を出力して、前記駆動回路部による前記スイッチング素子の駆動信号の出力を停止させる第1過電流保護部と、
     前記電流検出部が検出した電流が第2閾値以上である場合に、第2過電流検出信号を出力する第2過電流保護部と、
     前記駆動回路部を介して、PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)制御を含む前記モータの駆動制御を行い、前記PWM制御を行っている際に、前記第2過電流保護部から前記第2過電流検出信号を受信した場合に、前記PWM制御のデューティを制限するモータ制御部と
     を備える過電流保護装置。
  2.  前記第2閾値は、前記第1閾値より大きい値であり、
     前記モータ制御部は、前記第2過電流検出信号を受信した場合に、前記インバータ部に流れる電流が低減するように、前記PWM制御のデューティを所定の値以下に制限する
     請求項1に記載の過電流保護装置。
  3.  前記第2過電流保護部は、前記第2過電流検出信号を一定期間保持するように遅延させて出力する遅延回路を含む
     請求項1に記載の過電流保護装置。
  4.  前記モータ制御部は、
     前記第2過電流検出信号が第1電圧以上である場合に、前記PWM制御のデューティを制限し、
     前記第2過電流検出信号が前記第1電圧より低い第2電圧以下になった場合に、前記PWM制御のデューティの制限を解除する
     請求項3に記載の過電流保護装置。
  5.  前記駆動回路部と、前記第1過電流保護部とは、専用集積回路により、一体構成されている
     請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の過電流保護装置。
  6.  スイッチング素子のスイッチングによりモータの駆動信号を生成するインバータ部と、
     前記インバータ部の前記スイッチング素子の駆動信号を出力する駆動回路部と、
     前記インバータ部に流れる電流を検出する電流検出部と、
     前記電流検出部が検出した電流が第1閾値以上である場合に、所定の周波数以上の信号成分を除去した第1過電流検出信号を出力して、前記駆動回路部による前記スイッチング素子の駆動信号の出力を停止させる第1過電流保護部と、
     前記電流検出部が検出した電流が第2閾値以上である場合に、第2過電流検出信号を出力する第2過電流保護部と、
     前記駆動回路部を介して、PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)制御を含む前記モータの駆動制御を行い、前記PWM制御を行っている際に、前記第2過電流保護部から前記第2過電流検出信号を受信した場合に、前記PWM制御のデューティを制限するモータ制御部と
     を備えるモータ制御装置。
