Abstract

耐へたり性を向上させる上で有効な圧縮残留応力を有した金属部材を提供する。 金属部材の表面部を急速加熱する。金属部材の一例はばね部材である。加熱された金属部材に荷重を負荷することにより、金属部材の表面部に、内部よりも大きい塑性ひずみを与える。前記荷重を除くことにより、金属部材の表面から第1の深さ(D1)または第1の深さ(D1)を越える位置まで圧縮残留応力を生じさせる。この圧縮残留応力は、金属部材の内部側から表面に向かって増加し、ほぼ表面において最大となる。内部側の圧縮残留応力の増加率と比較して、表面に近い部分の圧縮残留応力の増加率が大きい。

Description

金属部材の処理方法と、金属部材のためのセッチング装置と、金属部材
 この発明は、耐へたり性を向上させることが可能な金属部材の処理方法と、金属部材のためのセッチング装置と、金属部材に関する。
 トーションバーやコイルばね、板ばね等のばね部材を製造する工程において、セッチングが行われるのが通例である。ばね部材はこの発明で言う金属部材の一例である。特に車両懸架装置やエンジンの動弁機構の分野では、ばね部材の耐へたり性を向上させる上でセッチングは重要である。一般的なセッチングは、使用応力以上の負荷をばね部材に与えることにより、ばね部材に塑性ひずみを生じさせている。セッチングの効果を高めるために、ばね部材を温間域に加熱した状態で行なうホットセッチングも知られている。
 例えば特許文献1や特許文献2にホットセッチングの例が記載されている。特許文献3にセッチング装置とセッチング方法の例が記載されている。従来のホットセッチングは、ばね部材全体を炉によって加熱したのち、炉から取り出されたばね部材に所定の荷重を負荷し、一定時間(例えば70分)保持する。これによりばね部材の表面部に圧縮残留応力を生じさせている。

 例えば車両懸架装置の分野では、車両の仕様に応じて懸架用ばね部材の設計応力を高くすることが望まれることがある。ばね部材の設計応力を高くするには、ばね部材の表面から深い位置まで残留応力を付与し、かつ、表面近くの圧縮残留応力の絶対値を大きくすることが望まれる。しかし従来のホットセッチングでは、ばね部材の深い位置まで圧縮残留応力を付与することに限界があった。
 本発明の目的は、耐へたり性を向上させる上で有効な圧縮残留応力を金属部材の深い位置まで付与することができる処理方法と、金属部材のためのセッチング装置と、金属部材を提供することにある。
 1つの実施形態に係る金属部材の処理方法は、前記金属部材の少なくとも一部の表面部を加熱し、前記表面部が前記加熱された状態において前記金属部材に塑性ひずみが生じる荷重を負荷する。前記荷重が負荷された状態が所定時間経過したのち前記荷重を除くことにより、前記金属部材の表面から第1の深さまで、または第1の深さを越える位置まで、圧縮残留応力部を生成する。この圧縮残留応力部は、前記金属部材の内部から前記表面に向かって圧縮残留応力の絶対値が増加する。しかもこの圧縮残留応力部は、内部側残留応力部と表面側残留応力部とを含んでいる。前記内部側残留応力部は、前記第1の深さから前記第1の深さよりも浅い第2の深さにわたっている。前記表面側残留応力部は、前記第2の深さから前記表面までである。前記表面側残留応力部における圧縮残留応力の増加率が、前記内部側残留応力部における圧縮残留応力の増加率よりも大きい。
 前記金属部材の処理方法において、前記金属部材の表面にレーザ光を照射してもよい。レーザ光を照射することにより、前記金属部材の前記表面部を200℃から400℃の温度範囲で急速加熱する。さらに、前記圧縮残留応力部を有した前記金属部材の表面にショットピーニングを行なってもよい。このショットピーニングにより、前記表面部に前記圧縮残留応力の絶対値が最大となるピーク部を生じさせてもよい。
 1つの実施形態に係るセッチング装置は、金属部材の表面部を加熱する表面加熱装置と荷重負荷機構とを具備している。前記荷重負荷機構は、表面部が加熱された前記金属部材に塑性ひずみが生じる荷重を負荷し、所定時間が経過したのち前記荷重を除く。前記表面加熱装置の1つの例が、前記金属部材の表面にレーザ光を照射するレーザ照射装置でもよい。前記表面加熱装置の他の例が、前記金属部材に交流電圧を印加する交流通電装置でもよい。
 1つの実施形態に係る金属部材は、表面から第1の深さまで、または第1の深さを越える位置まで、圧縮残留応力部を有している。この圧縮残留応力部は、前記第1の深さから前記表面に向かって圧縮残留応力の絶対値が増加する。そして、ほぼ表面において前記圧縮残留応力の絶対値が最大である。前記圧縮残留応力部は、内部側残留応力部と、表面側残留応力部とを含んでいる。前記内部側残留応力部は、前記第1の深さから前記第1の深さよりも浅い第2の深さまでである。前記表面側残留応力部は、前記第2の深さから前記表面までである。前記表面側残留応力部における圧縮残留応力の増加率が、前記内部側残留応力部における圧縮残留応力の増加率よりも大きい。この実施形態において、前記第1の深さよりも深い位置に、前記圧縮残留応力の大きさがほぼ変化しない残留応力安定部を有してもよい。前記第1の深さが、前記圧縮残留応力がゼロとなる位置であってもよい。金属部材がトーションバーでもよいし、金属部材がコイルばねあるいは板ばねでもよい。
 1つの実施形態に係る金属部材の処理方法とセッチング装置によれば、耐へたり性を向上させる上で有効な圧縮残留応力を金属部材の表面から深い位置まで付与することができる。1つの実施形態に係る金属部材によれば、耐へたり性が向上する。

[第1の実施形態]
 以下に、第1の実施形態に係る金属部材の処理方法と、セッチング装置と、金属部材とについて、図1から図4を参照して説明する。
 図1は、金属部材の1つの例として、トーションバー形のばね部材1Aを示している。これ以降は、ばね部材1Aを例にあげて説明する。ばね部材1Aはばね鋼からなり、棒状のバー本体10と、第1のつかみ部12と、第2のつかみ部14とを有している。第1のつかみ部12は、バー本体10の第1の端部11に形成されている。第2のつかみ部14は、バー本体10の第2の端部13に形成されている。第1のつかみ部12と第2のつかみ部14とを相対的にねじると、バー本体10にねじり変形を生じることにより、ばね作用が生じる。
 図2は、セッチング装置20を模式的に表わしている。セッチング装置20は、金属部材の表面部を加熱した状態で、セッチングを行なう。金属部材の一例は、ばね部材1Aである。セッチング装置20は、ねじり機構21と、レーザ照射装置30とを含んでいる。ねじり機構21は、ばね部材1Aにねじりの荷重を負荷する。レーザ照射装置30は、ばね部材1Aにレーザ光を照射する。ねじり機構21は、ばね部材1Aにねじりの荷重を与えるための荷重負荷機構の一例である。レーザ照射装置30は、ばね部材1Aの表面部を急速加熱するための表面加熱装置の一例である。
 ねじり機構21の1つの例は、ベース部材22と、第1部材23と、第2部材24と、駆動部25とを有している。第1部材23は、ばね部材1Aの第1のつかみ部12を保持する。第2部材24は、ばね部材1Aの第2のつかみ部14を保持する。ベース部材22は実質的に剛体である。第2部材24は駆動部25によって、ばね部材1Aをねじる方向に回転することができる。
 レーザ照射装置30の1つの例は、レーザ光の発生源であるレーザ発振器31と、レーザ照射部32と、レーザ発振器31を制御する制御部33と、光ファイバ34とを含んでいる。レーザ発振器31とレーザ照射部32とが、光ファイバ34によって、光学的に接続されている。制御部33は、レーザ発振器31を制御するため電気的な構成と、ソフトウェアなどを含んでいる。
 レーザ照射部32は、ガイド部材35に沿って、ばね部材1Aの長さ方向(図2に矢印Y1で示す)に移動することができる。ねじり機構21によって、ばね部材1Aにねじりの荷重が負荷される。ねじりの荷重が負荷されたばね部材1Aに、レーザ照射部32から放出されたレーザ光36が照射される。レーザ光36は、ばね部材1Aの表面に向けて照射される。そしてばね部材1Aの長さ方向にレーザ照射部32が移動する。このためレーザ光36は、ばね部材1Aの長さ方向に移動しつつ、ばね部材1Aの表面に照射される。レーザ光36の移動速度は、例えば10mm/秒である。
 ばね部材1Aの表面に照射されるレーザ光36のビーム形状は、例えば幅3mm、長さ18mmである。レーザ照射装置30の出力は、例えば0.4kW、レーザ光36の照射角度θ1(図2に示す)の一例は15°である。ここで言う照射角度θ1とは、ばね部材1Aの表面に垂直な線分T1に対するレーザ光36の角度である。
 レーザ照射装置30は、ばね部材1Aの表面にレーザ光36を照射する。レーザ光36の照射により、ばね部材1Aの表面から比較的浅い領域(表面部と称す)が200℃から400℃の範囲の温度に急速加熱される。図2にハッチングで模式的に示した箇所が加熱された表面部(表面加熱部38と称す)である。
 ねじり機構21によって、ばね部材1Aにねじりの荷重(例えば1270MPa)が負荷される。ねじりの荷重が負荷された状態のもとで、ばね部材1Aの長さ方向に、レーザ光36が移動する。こうすることにより、ばね部材1Aの表面部に、長さL1にわたる表面加熱部38が形成される。
 図3は、レーザ照射装置30によって加熱されたばね部材1Aの径方向の断面を模式的に表わした断面図である。ばね部材1Aは金属部材の一例である。図3において、密なハッチングで表わされた箇所が表面加熱部38である。図3に示されたように、ばね部材1Aの周方向に、角度θ2で示す範囲に表面加熱部38が形成される。
 ばね部材1Aに前記ねじりの荷重が負荷された状態において、レーザ光36がばね部材1Aに照射される。レーザ光36が照射されることにより、ばね部材1Aの表面部が急速加熱される。ねじり機構21によってねじりの荷重が所定時間(例えば2-3分)保持される。これにより、ばね部材1Aの表面部に、ばね部材1Aの内部よりも多くの塑性ひずみが付与される。ねじりの荷重が所定時間保持されたのち、荷重が除かれる。
 この実施形態のように、金属部材に荷重を負荷した状態のもとで、金属部材の表面部を急速加熱するとともに、所定時間保持したのち荷重を除くことを、この明細書では表面加熱セッチングと称している。金属部材の表面を広範囲に加熱する必要がある場合には、レーザ光36の照射位置を変えながら照射を繰り返してもよい。
 図4は、本実施形態に係る表面加熱セッチングがなされた金属部材の表面からの深さと残留応力の大きさとの関係を示している。図4中の線分L1は、表面加熱セッチングがなされた金属部材の表面からの深さと残留応力の大きさとの関係を示している。線分L1で示されたように、表面加熱セッチングがなされた金属部材は、表面から第1の深さD1まで、または第1の深さD1を越える位置まで、圧縮残留応力を有している。第1の深さD1の一例は、表面からの深さが0.5mmを越えている。
 図4に線分L1で示されたように、金属部材の表面から第1の深さD1まで、または第1の深さD1を越える位置まで、圧縮残留応力部S1が生成されている。圧縮残留応力部S1は、第1の深さD1から金属部材の表面に向かって圧縮残留応力の絶対値が増加し、ほぼ表面において圧縮残留応力の絶対値が最大の値P1となっている。ほぼ表面とは、圧縮残留応力部S1のうち表面に最も近い位置のことである。
 図4に示された圧縮残留応力部S1は、第1の深さD1から第2の深さD2までの内部側残留応力部A1と、第2の深さD2から表面までの表面側残留応力部A2とを含んでいる。第2の深さD2は、第1の深さD1よりも浅い。表面側残留応力部A2の圧縮残留応力の増加率は、内部側残留応力部A1の圧縮残留応力の増加率よりも大きい。さらに第1の深さD1よりも深い位置に、圧縮残留応力の大きさがほぼ変化しない残留応力安定部A3が形成されている。残留応力安定部A3は、セッチングやショットピーニングに影響されない領域である。第1の深さD1は、圧縮残留応力がゼロとなる位置である。第1の深さD1が、圧縮残留応力部S1と残留応力安定部A3との境であってもよい。
 レーザ光の照射によって加熱された表面部は、金属部材の熱伝導率や金属部材に与える熱エネルギーの強度等の様々な要因により、加熱の深さが左右される。加熱すべき表面部の深さは、例えば表面から第1の深さD1付近を目標としてもよいし、第2の深さD2付近でもよい。あるいはそれ以外の深さの場合もある。
 図4中の線分L2は、表面加熱セッチングが行われたのち、ショットピーニングが行われた金属部材の表面からの深さと残留応力の大きさとの関係を示している。ショットピーニングは、金属部材の表面に多数のショット(shots)を高速で打ち付ける処理である。ショットピーニングによって、金属部材の表面付近に、圧縮残留応力が最大となるピーク部P1を生成することが可能である。
 図4中に線分L2で示されたように、表面加熱セッチングがなされたのちショットピーニングが行われた金属部材は、表面付近に圧縮残留応力の絶対値が最大となるピーク部P1を有している。この圧縮残留応力は、金属部材の内部に向かうほど減少するが、表面から深い位置まで圧縮残留応力が維持されている。ショットピーニングによって得られた圧縮残留応力の分布は、金属部材の耐へたり性を向上させる上でさらに有効である。
 図5中の線分L3は、従来のホットセッチングが行われた金属部材の表面からの深さと、残留応力の大きさとの関係を示している。ホットセッチングが実施された金属部材は、圧縮残留応力部S2を示している。圧縮残留応力部S2は、第1の深さd1から表面に向かって、ほぼ一定の増加率で圧縮残留応力が増加している。圧縮残留応力部S2よりも深い位置に、残留応力安定部S3を有している。残留応力安定部S3は、圧縮残留応力の大きさがほぼ変化しない。圧縮残留応力部S2の表面付近の圧縮残留応力の絶対値は、図4に示された圧縮残留応力部S1の表面付近の圧縮残留応力の絶対値と比べてかなり小さい。
 図5中の線分L4は、従来のホットセッチングが実施されたのちショットピーニングが行われた金属部材において、その表面からの深さと、残留応力の大きさとの関係を示している。線分L4で示されたように、ホットセッチングが実施されたのちショットピーニングが行われた金属部材は、表面付近に圧縮残留応力の絶対値が最大となるピーク部P3が生じている。しかし比較的浅い位置において、圧縮の残留応力がゼロに近付いている。線分L4で示された従来のショットピーニング材の圧縮残留応力の深さは、図4に線分L2で示された本実施形態のショットピーニング材の圧縮残留応力の深さの半分程度である。
 図6は、ばね部材1Aの表面加熱部38の他の例を模式的に示した断面図である。この例では、第1の表面加熱部38aと第2の表面加熱部38bとが、互いに対称位置に、それぞれθ3,θ4の範囲に形成されている。この例のように、ばね部材1Aの周方向の複数個所に表面加熱部を形成し、荷重を負荷した状態を所定時間保持することにより、ばね部材1Aの表面部に内部よりも多くの塑性ひずみを生じさせてもよい。
 図7は、ばね部材1Aの表面加熱部のさらに別の例を、模式的に示した断面図である。図7に示されたように、ばね部材1Aの全周にわたり、表面加熱部38が形成されている。この例のように、ばね部材1Aの全周に表面加熱部38を形成し、荷重を負荷した状態を所定時間保持することにより、ばね部材1Aの表面部のほぼ全周に、内部よりも大きな塑性ひずみを生じさせてもよい。
[第2の実施形態]
 図8は、第2の実施形態に係るセッチング装置40を、模式的に示した正面図である。この実施形態のセッチング装置40は、ねじり機構21と、交流通電装置50とを含んでいる。ねじり機構21は、金属部材(ばね部材1A)に、ねじりの荷重を負荷する。交流通電装置50は、ばね部材1Aに交流電圧を印加する。ねじり機構21は、第1の実施形態で説明したねじり機構21(図2に示す)と共通の構成であるため、第1の実施形態と共通の構成要素に共通の符号を付して説明を省略する。
 交流通電装置50は、ばね部材1Aの表面部を急速加熱するための表面加熱装置の一例である。交流通電装置50は、第1の電極51と、第2の電極52と、電源部53とを含んでいる。第1の電極51は、ばね部材1Aの第1の端部11に接続される。第2の電極52は、ばね部材1Aの第2の端部13に接続される。電源部53は、交流電源54と、制御部55とを含んでいる。交流電源54は、第1の電極51と第2の電極52との間に交流電圧を印加する。制御部55は、交流電圧を制御する。
 ばね部材1Aに、ねじりの荷重(例えば1270MPa)が負荷される。ねじりの荷重が負荷された状態において、ばね部材1Aに交流電圧が印加される。例えば、交流電流を0.5秒、印加することにより、表面部の全周が例えば225℃に加熱される。この交流通電により、バー本体10の全周に表面加熱部38(図7に示す)が形成される。表面加熱部38が形成された状態において、ねじり機構21によって、ばね部材1Aにねじりの荷重が負荷される。これにより、ばね部材1Aの表面部に内部よりも大きな塑性ひずみが付与される。この塑性ひずみが一定時間保持されたのち、ねじりの荷重が除かれる。この表面加熱セッチングにより、ばね部材1Aの表面部に圧縮残留応力が付与される。
 図9に示された線分L5は、図8に示されたセッチング装置40によってセッチングが行われた金属部材の表面からの深さと、残留応力の大きさとの関係を示している。線分L5に示されたように、金属部材の表面から第1の深さD3まで、または第1の深さD3を越える位置まで、圧縮残留応力部S2が形成されている。圧縮残留応力部S2は、第1の深さD3から表面に向かって圧縮残留応力の絶対値が増加し、ほぼ表面において圧縮残留応力の絶対値が最大の値(ピーク部)P4が生じている。図9中の線分L6は、従来のホットセッチングが行われた金属部材の残留応力を示している。
 図9中の線分L5で示されたように、圧縮残留応力部S2は、内部側残留応力部B1と、表面側残留応力部B2とを含んでいる。内部側残留応力部B1は、第1の深さD3から第2の深さD4までである。表面側残留応力部B2は、第2の深さD4から表面までである。第2の深さD4は、第1の深さD3よりも浅い。第1の深さD3から第2の深さD4までの圧縮残留応力の増加率と比較して、第2の深さD4から表面までの圧縮残留応力の増加率が大きい。第1の深さD3よりも深い位置に、圧縮残留応力の大きさがほぼ変化しない残留応力安定部B3が形成されている。残留応力安定部B3は、セッチングやショットピーニングに影響されない領域である。第1の深さD3は、圧縮残留応力がゼロとなる位置である。第1の深さD3が、圧縮残留応力部S2と残留応力安定部B3との境であってもよい。
[第3の実施形態]
 図10は、金属部材の他の例として、コイルばね形のばね部材1Bを示した正面図である。ばね部材1Bは、ばね鋼からなる素線60を有している。ばね部材1Bは、第1の端部61と第2の端部62とを含んでいる。ばね部材1Bに圧縮の荷重が負荷されていない自由状態において、ばね部材1Bは長さH1を有している。ばね部材1Bに圧縮の荷重が負荷されると、荷重の大きさに応じて長さH1が小さくなる。
 図11は、第3の実施形態に係るセッチング装置70を、模式的に示した正面図である。このセッチング装置70は、ベース部材71と、圧縮機構72と、レーザ照射装置30とを有している。ベース部材71は、ばね部材1Bを支持する。圧縮機構72は、ばね部材1Bに圧縮の荷重を負荷する。レーザ照射装置30は、ばね部材1Bにレーザ光36を照射する。
 圧縮機構72は、加圧部材73と、加圧部材73を駆動する駆動部74とを含んでいる。圧縮機構72は、荷重負荷機構の一例である。荷重負荷機構は、ばね部材1Bに圧縮の荷重を与える。レーザ照射装置30は、第1の実施形態で説明したレーザ照射装置30(図2に示す)と共通の構成であるため、第1の実施形態と共通の構成要素に共通の符号を付して説明を省略する。
 図11に示されたように、圧縮機構72によってばね部材1Bを長さH2に圧縮された状態において、レーザ光36を照射することにより、ばね部材1Bの表面部を加熱する。レーザ照射装置30は、ばね部材1Bの表面にレーザ光36を照射する。例えば、ばね部材1Bを軸線X1まわりに回転させる。ばね部材1Bが軸線X1まわりに回転した状態のもとで、レーザ照射部32を軸線X1に沿う方向に移動させる。こうすることにより、素線60の長さ方向に沿って、レーザ光36を移動させることができる。このようにばね部材1Bに圧縮の荷重を負荷した状態において、レーザ光によりばね部材1Bに表面部を急速加熱することにより、表面部に多くの残留ひずみを与えることができる。
 図12は、ばね部材1Bに負荷された圧縮の荷重を除いた状態を示す正面図である。圧縮の荷重が除かれたばね部材1Bは、長さがH3となる。セッチング後の長さH3は、セッチング前の長さH1よりも小さくなるが、ばね部材1Bの表面から深い位置まで圧縮残留応力が付与される。このばね部材1Bは、耐へたり性に優れている。
[第4の実施形態]
 図13は、第4の実施形態に係るセッチング装置80を、模式的に示した正面図である。このセッチング装置80は、圧縮機構72と、交流通電装置50とを含んでいる。圧縮機構72は、金属部材の一例としてのばね部材1Bに、圧縮の荷重を負荷する。交流通電装置50は、ばね部材1Bに交流電圧を印加する。交流通電装置50は、第2の実施形態で説明した交流通電装置50(図8に示す)と共通の構成であるため、第2の実施形態と共通の構成要素に共通の符号を付して説明を省略する。圧縮機構72は、第3の実施形態で説明した圧縮機構72(図11に示す)と共通の構成であるため、第3の実施形態と共通の構成要素に共通の符号を付して説明を省略する。
 図13に示されたように、交流通電装置50の第1の電極51が、ばね部材1Bの第1の端部61に接続される。交流通電装置50の第2の電極52が、ばね部材1Bの第2の端部62に接続される。ばね部材1Bが圧縮された状態において、交流通電装置50によって、ばね部材1Bに交流電圧を印加される。コイルばね形状のばね部材1Bに交流電圧が印加された場合、ばね部材1Bの主に内側(コイル内径側)の発熱量が、外側(コイル外径側)の発熱量よりも多くなる。このため、圧縮されたばね部材1Bの主に内側の表面部に、多くの塑性ひずみが付与される。圧縮された状態が所定時間保持されたのち、荷重が除かれることにより、ばね部材1Bの主に内側の表面部に圧縮残留応力が付与される。
 本発明を実施するに当たって、金属部材はコイルばねやトーションバー等のばね部材に限ることはなく、用途に応じた様々な金属部材に適用することができる。また表面加熱装置としてのレーザ照射装置や交流通電装置も前記実施形態に制約されることはなく、種々の形態で実施することができる。

Claims (11)

  1.  金属部材の処理方法であって、
     前記金属部材の少なくとも一部の表面部を加熱し、
     前記表面部が前記加熱された状態において前記金属部材に塑性ひずみが生じる荷重を負荷し、
     前記荷重が負荷された状態が所定時間経過したのち前記荷重を除くことにより、
     前記金属部材の表面から第1の深さ(D1)(D3)または第1の深さ(D1)(D3)を越える位置まで、前記金属部材の内部から前記表面に向かって圧縮残留応力の絶対値が増加する圧縮残留応力部(S1)(S2)を生成し、
     前記圧縮残留応力部(S1)(S2)が、前記第1の深さ(D1)(D3)から前記第1の深さ(D1)(D3)よりも浅い第2の深さ(D2)(D4)までの内部側残留応力部(A1)(B1)と、前記第2の深さ(D2)(D4)から前記表面までの表面側残留応力部(A2)(B2)とを含み、前記表面側残留応力部(A2)(B2)の圧縮残留応力の増加率が前記内部側残留応力部(A1)(B1)の圧縮残留応力の増加率よりも大きいことを特徴とする金属部材の処理方法。
  2.  請求項1に記載の金属部材の処理方法において、
     前記金属部材の前記表面にレーザ光を照射することにより前記金属部材の前記表面部を200℃から400℃の温度範囲に加熱する金属部材の処理方法。
  3.  請求項1に記載の金属部材の処理方法において、さらに、
     前記圧縮残留応力部(S1)(S2)を有した前記金属部材の表面にショットピーニングを行なうことにより、前記表面部に前記圧縮残留応力の絶対値が最大となるピーク部(P1)(P4)を生じさせる金属部材の処理方法。
  4.  金属部材のためのセッチング装置であって、
     前記金属部材の表面部を加熱する表面加熱装置と、
     前記表面部が加熱された前記金属部材に塑性ひずみが生じる荷重を負荷し、所定時間が経過したのち前記荷重を除く荷重負荷機構と、
     を具備したことを特徴とするセッチング装置。
  5.  請求項4に記載のセッチング装置において、
     前記表面加熱装置が、前記金属部材の表面にレーザ光を照射するレーザ照射装置(30)であるセッチング装置。
  6.  請求項4に記載のセッチング装置において、
     前記表面加熱装置が、前記金属部材に交流電圧を印加する交流通電装置(50)であるセッチング装置。
  7.  金属部材であって、
     前記金属部材の表面から第1の深さ(D1)(D3)または第1の深さ(D1)(D3)を越える位置まで圧縮残留応力部(S1)(S2)を有し、
     前記圧縮残留応力部(S1)(S2)は、前記第1の深さ(D1)(D3)から前記表面に向かって圧縮残留応力の絶対値が増加し、前記金属部材のほぼ表面において前記圧縮残留応力の絶対値が最大であり、
     前記圧縮残留応力部(S1)(S2)が、前記第1の深さ(D1)(D3)から前記第1の深さ(D1)(D3)よりも浅い第2の深さ(D2)(D4)までの内部側残留応力部(A1)(B1)と、前記第2の深さ(D2)(D4)から前記表面までの表面側残留応力部(A2)(B2)とを含み、前記表面側残留応力部(A2)(B2)の圧縮残留応力の増加率が前記内部側残留応力部(A1)(B1)の圧縮残留応力の増加率よりも大きいことを特徴とする金属部材。
  8.  請求項7に記載の金属部材において、
     前記第1の深さ(D1)(D3)よりも深い位置に、前記圧縮残留応力の大きさがほぼ変化しない残留応力安定部(A3)(B3)を有した金属部材。
  9.  請求項7に記載の金属部材において、
     前記第1の深さ(D1)(D3)が、前記圧縮残留応力がゼロとなる位置である金属部材。
  10.  請求項7に記載の金属部材において、
     前記金属部材がトーションバー形のばね部材(1A)である金属部材。
  11.  請求項7に記載の金属部材において、
     前記金属部材がコイルばね形のばね部材(1B)である金属部材。
