Description
本開示は、一般にコモンモードノイズフィルタに関し、より詳細には、複数の導体部を備えるコモンモードノイズフィルタに関する。
特許文献1には、非磁性体層と、非磁性体層を介して対向するように設けられた渦巻き状の第1の導体及び第2の導体と、複数の外部電極とを備えるコモンモードノイズフィルタが記載されている。複数の外部電極は、コモンモードノイズフィルタの入力側の外部電極である第1外部電極と、コモンモードノイズフィルタの出力側の外部電極である第2外部電極と、を含む。第1の導体及び第2の導体は、コモンモードノイズフィルタが搭載される基板の基板面と平行になるように配置されている。
本開示の一態様に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタによれば、コモンモードノイズフィルタを通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でもコモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
以下に従来技術における問題について、簡単に説明する。
特許文献1に記載のコモンモードノイズフィルタでは、コモンモードノイズフィルタを通過する信号の周波数が高くなると、第1外部電極と第2外部電極との間に存在する浮遊容量の影響でコモンモード減衰量が劣化するおそれがある。
本開示は、コモンモードノイズフィルタを通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でもコモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能なコモンモードノイズフィルタを提供する。
以下、実施形態1,2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタについて、図面を参照して説明する。しかしながら、以下の実施形態1,2等は、本開示における技術の理解を容易にするためのものであり、本開示の技術の一例にすぎず、本開示の範囲を限定するものではない。以下の実施形態1,2等において参照する図は、模式的な図であり、図中の構成要素の大きさ及び厚さは必ずしも実際の寸法を反映しているとは限らず、構成要素間における大きさの比及び厚さの比も、必ずしも実際の寸法比を反映しているとは限らない。すなわち、本開示に係る技術的思想を逸脱しない範囲であれば、以下の説明で例示する具体的な数値や材料に代えて、他の数値や材料が用いられてもよく、つまり設計等に応じて種々の変更が可能である。
(実施形態1)
(1)概要
まず、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1の概要について、図1を参照して説明する。図1は、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1の斜視図である。

実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1は、信号のディファレンシャルモード(差動モード)の成分を通過させる一方で、コモンモードのノイズ成分を減衰させる。コモンモードノイズフィルタ1は、例えば、実装面101を有する基板100の実装面101に実装される回路部品である。
コモンモードノイズフィルタ1は、図1に示すように、素体2と、第1導体部3及び第2導体部4と、複数(図示例では4つ)の外部電極5と、を備える。第1導体部3及び第2導体部4は、素体2の内部に設けられ、基板100の実装面101に沿った第2方向D2に並んでいる。複数の外部電極5は、素体2の外面に設けられ、第2方向D2において素体2の両側に配置されている。第1導体部3及び第2導体部4の各々は、第2方向D2に沿った中心軸CA1の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれたスパイラル導体30,40を有する。
コモンモードノイズフィルタ1では、第1導体部3及び第2導体部4の各々は、第2方向D2に沿った中心軸CA1の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれたスパイラル導体30,40を有し、第1導体部3及び第2導体部4は、第2方向D2に並んでいる。また、複数の外部電極5は、第2方向D2において素体2の両側に配置されている。これにより、複数の外部電極5のうち入力側の第1外部電極5Aと出力側の第2外部電極5Cとの間の浮遊容量C31(図2参照)を低減することが可能となる。また,複数の外部電極5のうち入力側の第1外部電極5Bと出力側の第2外部電極5Dとの間の浮遊容量C32(図2参照)を低減することが可能となる。その結果、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1を通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でも、コモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
(2)詳細
次に、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1の構成要素について、図1及び図2を参照して説明する。

コモンモードノイズフィルタ1は、図1に示すように、素体2と、第1導体部3と、第2導体部4と、複数(図示例では4つ)の外部電極5と、を備える。また、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1は、複数(図示例では4つ)の引出電極60と、複数(図示例では6つ)のビア導体7と、を更に備える。コモンモードノイズフィルタ1は、上述したように、回路部品が実装される実装面101を有する基板100の実装面101に実装される回路部品である。
(2.1)素体
素体2は、複数の絶縁体層を含む。複数の絶縁体層は、第1方向D1に積層されている。複数の絶縁体層は、第1方向D1から見て、互いに同一形状である。複数の絶縁体層の各々の形状は、第1方向D1から見て、長方形状である。各絶縁体層の形状は、矩形板状である。素体2は、複数の絶縁体層が第1方向D1に重なって、全体として直方体状に形成されている。なお、素体2は、内部に第1導体部3及び第2導体部4が設けられ、外面に外部電極5が設けられる限り、素体2を構成する複数の絶縁体層の形状及び素体2の形状は限定されない。
素体2は、複数の絶縁体層を含む。複数の絶縁体層は、第1方向D1に積層されている。複数の絶縁体層は、第1方向D1から見て、互いに同一形状である。複数の絶縁体層の各々の形状は、第1方向D1から見て、長方形状である。各絶縁体層の形状は、矩形板状である。素体2は、複数の絶縁体層が第1方向D1に重なって、全体として直方体状に形成されている。なお、素体2は、内部に第1導体部3及び第2導体部4が設けられ、外面に外部電極5が設けられる限り、素体2を構成する複数の絶縁体層の形状及び素体2の形状は限定されない。
複数の絶縁体層は、1つ以上の磁性体層と、1つ以上の非磁性体層と、を含む。1つ以上の磁性体層の材料は、例えば、フェライトである。1つ以上の非磁性体層の材料は、例えば、ガラスセラミックである。一例として、磁性体層の厚さは、非磁性体層の厚さより大きい(厚い)。
素体2は、上面21と、下面22と、第1側面23と、第2側面24と、第3側面25と、第4側面26と、を有する。
上面21は、素体2における基板100側とは反対側の面である。下面22は、素体2における基板100側の面である。
第1側面23、第2側面24、第3側面25及び第4側面26の各々は、上面21及び下面22と交差(直交)する面である。また、第1側面23、第2側面24、第3側面25及び第4側面26の各々は、上面21と下面22とをつなぐ面である。
第1側面23は、第2方向D2において第2側面24と対向する面である。第3側面25は、第3方向D3において第4側面26と対向する面である。すなわち、素体2は、第2方向D2において互いに対向する第1側面23及び第2側面24と、第3方向D3において互いに対向する第3側面25及び第4側面26と、を有する。
第1側面23及び第2側面24は、第3側面25及び第4側面26と交差(直交)する面である。また、第1側面23及び第2側面24は、第3側面25と第4側面26とをつなぐ面である。
(2.2)第1導体部
第1導体部3は、図1に示すように、素体2の内部に設けられている。第1導体部3は、例えば、銀等の導電性材料により形成されている。第1導体部3は、複数(図示例では2つ)のスパイラル導体30を含む。複数のスパイラル導体30は、第1スパイラル導体301と、第2スパイラル導体302と、を含む。第1スパイラル導体301と第2スパイラル導体302とは、第2方向D2において所定の間隔を空けて並んでいる。
第1導体部3は、図1に示すように、素体2の内部に設けられている。第1導体部3は、例えば、銀等の導電性材料により形成されている。第1導体部3は、複数(図示例では2つ)のスパイラル導体30を含む。複数のスパイラル導体30は、第1スパイラル導体301と、第2スパイラル導体302と、を含む。第1スパイラル導体301と第2スパイラル導体302とは、第2方向D2において所定の間隔を空けて並んでいる。
第1スパイラル導体301及び第2スパイラル導体302の各々は、第2方向D2から見て、渦巻き状に巻かれた導体である。より詳細には、第1スパイラル導体301及び第2スパイラル導体302の各々は、導体を長円に沿って複数回巻いた形状である。すなわち、第1導体部3は、第2方向D2に沿った中心軸CA1の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれたスパイラル導体30を有する。第1スパイラル導体301が占める領域の第3方向D3の長さは、第1スパイラル導体301が占める領域の第1方向D1の長さより長い。また、第2スパイラル導体302が占める領域の第3方向D3の長さは、第2スパイラル導体302が占める領域の第1方向D1の長さより長い。図1の例では、第1スパイラル導体301のターン数は5であり、第2スパイラル導体302のターン数は4であるが、ターン数は特に限定されない。また、図1の例では、スパイラル導体30は、導体を長円に沿って複数回巻いた形状であるが、例えば、円又は矩形状に沿って複数回巻いた形状であってもよい。
第1スパイラル導体301は、第1端部311及び第2端部312を有する。第1スパイラル導体301の第1端部311は、ビア導体7等を介して第1引出電極61に電気的に接続されている。また、第1スパイラル導体301の第1端部311は、第1引出電極61等を介して一方の第1外部電極5Aに電気的に接続されている。第1スパイラル導体301の第2端部312は、ビア導体7等を介して第2スパイラル導体302の第1端部(図示せず)に電気的に接続されている。
第2スパイラル導体302は、第1端部(図示せず)及び第2端部322を有する。第2スパイラル導体302の第1端部は、上述したように、ビア導体7等を介して第1スパイラル導体301の第2端部312に電気的に接続されている。第2スパイラル導体302の第2端部322は、ビア導体7等を介して第3引出電極63に電気的に接続されている。また、第2スパイラル導体302の第2端部322は、第3引出電極63等を介して一方の第2外部電極5Cに電気的に接続されている。本実施形態では、第1スパイラル導体301の第1端部311が第1導体部3の第1端部31に相当し、第2スパイラル導体302の第2端部322が第1導体部3の第2端部32に相当する。
すなわち、第1導体部3は、第1端部31及び第2端部32を有する。また、第1導体部3の第1端部31は、複数の外部電極5のうち対応する外部電極(第1外部電極5A)の第1部分51と電気的に接続されている。また、第1導体部3の第2端部32は、複数の外部電極5のうち対応する外部電極(第2外部電極5C)の第2部分52と電気的に接続されている。
(2.3)第2導体部
第2導体部4は、第1導体部3と同様、素体2の内部に設けられている。第2導体部4は、第1導体部3と同様、例えば、銀等の導電性材料により形成されている。第2導体部4は、複数(図示例では2つ)のスパイラル導体40を含む。複数のスパイラル導体40は、第1スパイラル導体401と、第2スパイラル導体402と、を含む。第1スパイラル導体401と第2スパイラル導体402とは、第2方向D2において所定の間隔を空けて並んでいる。
第2導体部4は、第1導体部3と同様、素体2の内部に設けられている。第2導体部4は、第1導体部3と同様、例えば、銀等の導電性材料により形成されている。第2導体部4は、複数(図示例では2つ)のスパイラル導体40を含む。複数のスパイラル導体40は、第1スパイラル導体401と、第2スパイラル導体402と、を含む。第1スパイラル導体401と第2スパイラル導体402とは、第2方向D2において所定の間隔を空けて並んでいる。
第1スパイラル導体401及び第2スパイラル導体402の各々は、第2方向D2から見て、渦巻き状に巻かれた導体である。より詳細には、第1スパイラル導体401及び第2スパイラル導体402の各々は、導体を長円に沿って複数回巻いた形状である。すなわち、第2導体部4は、第2方向D2に沿った中心軸CA1の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれたスパイラル導体40を有する。第1スパイラル導体401が占める領域の第3方向D3の長さは、第1スパイラル導体401が占める領域の第1方向D1の長さより長い。また、第2スパイラル導体402が占める領域の第3方向D3の長さは、第2スパイラル導体402が占める領域の第1方向D1の長さより長い。図1の例では、第1スパイラル導体401のターン数は5であり、第2スパイラル導体402のターン数は4であるが、ターン数は特に限定されない。また、図1の例では、スパイラル導体40は、導体を長円に沿って複数回巻いた形状であるが、例えば、円又は矩形状に沿って複数回巻いた形状であってもよい。
第1スパイラル導体401は、第1端部411及び第2端部412を有する。第1スパイラル導体401の第1端部411は、ビア導体7等を介して第2引出電極62に電気的に接続されている。また、第1スパイラル導体401の第1端部411は、第2引出電極62等を介して他方の第1外部電極5Bに電気的に接続されている。第1スパイラル導体401の第2端部412は、ビア導体7等を介して第2スパイラル導体402の第1端部(図示せず)に電気的に接続されている。
第2スパイラル導体402は、第1端部(図示せず)及び第2端部422を有する。第2スパイラル導体402の第1端部は、上述したように、ビア導体7等を介して第1スパイラル導体401の第2端部412に電気的に接続されている。第2スパイラル導体402の第2端部422は、ビア導体7等を介して第4引出電極64に電気的に接続されている。また、第2スパイラル導体402の第2端部412は、第4引出電極64等を介して他方の第2外部電極5Dに電気的に接続されている。本実施形態では、第1スパイラル導体401の第1端部411が第2導体部4の第1端部41に相当し、第2スパイラル導体402の第2端部422が第2導体部4の第2端部42に相当する。
すなわち、第2導体部4は、第1端部41及び第2端部42を有する。また、第2導体部4の第1端部41は、複数の外部電極5のうち対応する外部電極(第1外部電極5B)の第1部分51と電気的に接続されている。また、第2導体部4の第2端部42は、複数の外部電極5のうち対応する外部電極(第2外部電極5D)の第2部分52と電気的に接続されている。
本実施形態では、第1導体部3と第2導体部4とは、基板100の実装面101に沿った方向、すなわち第2方向D2に並んでいる。
(2.4)外部電極
複数の外部電極5は、2つの第1外部電極5A,5Bと、2つの第2外部電極5C,5Dと、を含む。2つの第1外部電極5A,5Bは、素体2の第1側面23に設けられている。より詳細には、2つの第1外部電極5A,5Bは、素体2の上面21、第1側面23及び下面22に跨って設けられている。また、2つの第2外部電極5C,5Dは、素体2の第2側面24に設けられている。より詳細には、2つの第2外部電極5C,5Dは、素体2の上面21、第2側面24及び下面22に跨って設けられている。すなわち、複数の外部電極5は、素体2の外面(上面21、下面22、第1側面23及び第2側面24)に設けられ、第2方向D2において素体2の両側に配置されている。より詳細には、複数の外部電極5は、第2方向D2における一端側に位置する第1外部電極5A,5Bと、第2方向D2における他端側に位置する第2外部電極5C,5Dと、を含む。
複数の外部電極5は、2つの第1外部電極5A,5Bと、2つの第2外部電極5C,5Dと、を含む。2つの第1外部電極5A,5Bは、素体2の第1側面23に設けられている。より詳細には、2つの第1外部電極5A,5Bは、素体2の上面21、第1側面23及び下面22に跨って設けられている。また、2つの第2外部電極5C,5Dは、素体2の第2側面24に設けられている。より詳細には、2つの第2外部電極5C,5Dは、素体2の上面21、第2側面24及び下面22に跨って設けられている。すなわち、複数の外部電極5は、素体2の外面(上面21、下面22、第1側面23及び第2側面24)に設けられ、第2方向D2において素体2の両側に配置されている。より詳細には、複数の外部電極5は、第2方向D2における一端側に位置する第1外部電極5A,5Bと、第2方向D2における他端側に位置する第2外部電極5C,5Dと、を含む。
複数の外部電極5の各々は、第1部分51と、第2部分52と、第3部分53と、を有する。各外部電極5において、第1部分51及び第2部分52の各々の形状は、第1方向D1から見て、第3方向D3よりも第2方向D2に長い矩形状である。また、各外部電極5において、第1部分51及び第2部分52の各々の形状は、矩形板状である。各外部電極5において、第3部分53の形状は、第2方向D2から見て、第3方向D3よりも第1方向D1に長い矩形状である。また、各外部電極5において、第3部分53の形状は、矩形板状である。
第1外部電極5A,5Bの各々では、第1部分51は素体2の下面22に配置されており、第2部分52は素体2の上面21に配置されており、第3部分53は素体2の第1側面23に配置されている。また、第2外部電極5C,5Dの各々では、第1部分51は素体2の下面22に配置されており、第2部分52は素体2の上面21に配置されており、第3部分53は素体2の第2側面24に配置されている。すなわち、複数の外部電極5の各々は、基板100の厚さ方向(第1方向D1)において基板100側に位置する第1部分51と、基板100の厚さ方向において基板100側とは反対側に位置する第2部分52と、を有する。各外部電極5は、第3方向D3から見て、C字状(又は逆C字状)である。
本実施形態では一例として、2つの第1外部電極5A,5Bが入力側の電極であり、2つの第2外部電極5C,5Dが出力側の電極であるが、逆であってもよい。つまり、2つの第2外部電極5C,5Dが入力側の電極であり、2つの第1外部電極5A,5Bが出力側の電極であってもよい。
2つの第1外部電極5A,5Bは、第3方向D3に沿って並んでいる。第3方向D3における各第1外部電極5A,5Bの長さは、第3方向D3における素体2の長さより短い。また、第3方向D3における第1外部電極5Aの長さと、第3方向D3における第1外部電極5Bの長さとは、同じである。
2つの第2外部電極5C,5Dは、第3方向D3に沿って並んでいる。第3方向D3における各第2外部電極5C,5Dの長さは、第3方向D3における素体2の長さより短い。また、第3方向D3における第2外部電極5Cの長さと、第3方向D3における第2外部電極5Dの長さとは、同じである。
(2.5)引出電極
複数の引出電極60は、例えば、銀等の導電性材料により形成されている。複数の引出電極60は、第1引出電極61と、第2引出電極62と、第3引出電極63と、第4引出電極64と、を含む。

第3引出電極63は、第2外部電極5Cと第1導体部3の第2端部32とを電気的に接続するための電極である。第3引出電極63の形状は、第2方向D2から見て、長方形状である。また、第3引出電極63の形状は、矩形板状である。
第4引出電極64は、第2外部電極5Dと第2導体部4の第2端部42とを電気的に接続するための電極である。第4引出電極64の形状は、第2方向D2から見て、長方形状である。また、第4引出電極64の形状は、矩形板状である。
(2.6)ビア導体
複数のビア導体7のうち4つのビア導体7は、各引出電極60と第1導体部3又は第2導体部4とを電気的に接続するための導体である。また、複数のビア導体7のうち残り2つのビア導体7は、2つのスパイラル導体30間、又は2つのスパイラル導体40間を電気的に接続するための導体である。複数のビア導体7の各々は、第2方向D2に沿った中心軸を有する円柱状に形成されている。複数のビア導体7は、例えば、銀等の導電性材料により形成されている。
複数のビア導体7のうち4つのビア導体7は、各引出電極60と第1導体部3又は第2導体部4とを電気的に接続するための導体である。また、複数のビア導体7のうち残り2つのビア導体7は、2つのスパイラル導体30間、又は2つのスパイラル導体40間を電気的に接続するための導体である。複数のビア導体7の各々は、第2方向D2に沿った中心軸を有する円柱状に形成されている。複数のビア導体7は、例えば、銀等の導電性材料により形成されている。

次に、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1の回路構成について、図2を参照して説明する。図2は、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1の電気的な等価回路である。

コモンモードノイズフィルタ1は、図2に示すように、第1インダクタL1と、第2インダクタL2と、を有する。本実施形態では、第1インダクタL1は第1導体部3を含み、第2インダクタL2は第2導体部4を含む。
第1インダクタL1の第1端は、第1外部電極5Aに電気的に接続されている。第1インダクタL1の第2端は、第2外部電極5Cに電気的に接続されている。第1インダクタL1の第1端と第1外部電極5Aとの間には、第1外部電極5Aによる電気抵抗R11が存在する。また、第1インダクタL1の第2端と第2外部電極5Cとの間には、第2外部電極5Cによる電気抵抗R13が存在する。第1インダクタL1の第1端と第2端との間には、浮遊容量(寄生容量)C11が存在する。
第2インダクタL2の第1端は、第1外部電極5Bに電気的に接続されている。第2インダクタL2の第2端は、第2外部電極5Dに電気的に接続されている。第2インダクタL2の第1端と第1外部電極5Bとの間には、第1外部電極5Bによる電気抵抗R12が存在する。また、第2インダクタL2の第2端と第2外部電極5Dとの間には、第2外部電極5Dによる電気抵抗R14が存在する。第2インダクタL2の第1端と第2端との間には、浮遊容量(寄生容量)C12が存在する。
第1外部電極5Aの電気抵抗R11と第1外部電極5Bの電気抵抗R12との間には、浮遊容量(寄生容量)C21が存在する。また、第2外部電極5Cの電気抵抗R13と第2外部電極5Dの電気抵抗R14との間には、浮遊容量(寄生容量)C22が存在する。
第1外部電極5Aと第2外部電極5Cとの間には、浮遊容量(寄生容量)C31が存在する。また、第1外部電極5Bと第2外部電極5Dとの間には、浮遊容量(寄生容量)C32が存在する。
コモンモードノイズフィルタ1では、上述のような構造を取ることで、第1外部電極5Aと第2外部電極5Cとの間の浮遊容量C31は、例えば、0.05pF以下になり得る。同様に、第1外部電極5Bと第2外部電極5Dとの間の浮遊容量C32も、例えば、0.05pF以下になり得る。
(3)周波数特性
次に、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1の周波数特性について、図3A~図4Bを参照して、比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタの周波数特性と比較しながら説明する。

ここで、比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタは、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1と同様、第1導体部及び第2導体部を備えている。第1導体部及び第2導体部は、基板100の厚さ方向である第1方向D1に積層されている。第1導体部及び第2導体部の各々は、複数のスパイラル導体を有する。複数のスパイラル導体の各々は、第1方向D1に沿った中心軸の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれている。すなわち、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1では、各スパイラル導体30,40の中心軸CA1は第2方向D2に沿っており、第1導体部3及び第2導体部4は第2方向D2に並んでいる。これに対して、比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタでは、各スパイラル導体の中心軸は第1方向D1に沿っており、第1導体部及び第2導体部は第1方向D1に並んでいる。
図3Aは、比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタのコモンモード減衰量の周波数特性図である。図3Bは、比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタのモード変換量の周波数特性図である。図4Aは、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1のコモンモード減衰量の周波数特性図である。図4Bは、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1のモード変換量の周波数特性図である。図3A及び図4Aにおいて、横軸は周波数を示し、縦軸はコモンモード減衰量を示す。また、図3B及び図4Bにおいて、横軸は周波数を示し、縦軸はモード変換量を示す。
比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタでは、コモンモード減衰量が-15dB以下となる周波数範囲は、約0.75GHz以上で、約3.75GHz以下である(図3A参照)。これに対して、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1では、コモンモード減衰量が-15dB以下となる周波数範囲は、約1.0GHz以上で、約8.0GHz以下である(図4A参照)。すなわち、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1によれば、コモンモードノイズ減衰量が-15dB以下となる周波数範囲が高周波側に広くなっている。これにより、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1を通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でも、コモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
また、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1では、比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタと比較して、モード変換量が全体的に小さくなっている(図3B及び図4B参照)。ここでいう「モード変換量」は、差動モードから同相モードに変換される信号の割合を示しており、この値が小さいほうが望ましい。したがって、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1は、モード変換量に関し、比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタと比較して、より優れた周波数特性を有する。
(4)効果
実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1では、第1導体部3及び第2導体部4の各々は、第2方向D2に沿った中心軸CA1の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれたスパイラル導体30,40を有し、第1導体部3及び第2導体部4は、第2方向D2に並んでいる。また、複数の外部電極5は、第2方向D2において素体2の両側に配置されている。これにより、複数の外部電極5のうち入力側の第1外部電極5A,5Bと出力側の第2外部電極5C,5Dとの間の浮遊容量C31,C32を低減することが可能となる。その結果、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1を通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でも、コモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1では、第1導体部3及び第2導体部4の各々は、第2方向D2に沿った中心軸CA1の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれたスパイラル導体30,40を有し、第1導体部3及び第2導体部4は、第2方向D2に並んでいる。また、複数の外部電極5は、第2方向D2において素体2の両側に配置されている。これにより、複数の外部電極5のうち入力側の第1外部電極5A,5Bと出力側の第2外部電極5C,5Dとの間の浮遊容量C31,C32を低減することが可能となる。その結果、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1を通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でも、コモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
(実施形態2)
実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aについて、図5、図6A及び図6Bを参照して説明する。なお、実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aに関し、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1と同様の構成については同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。
実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aについて、図5、図6A及び図6Bを参照して説明する。なお、実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aに関し、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1と同様の構成については同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。
図5は、実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aの斜視図である。実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aは、第1導体部3の第2端部32が第2外部電極5Cの第1部分51と電気的に接続されている点で、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1と相違する。また、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aは、第2導体部4の第2端部42が第2外部電極5Dの第1部分51と電気的に接続されている点で、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1と相違する。
(1)構成
図5に示すように、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aでは、複数の外部電極5の各々は、第1方向D1において基板100側に位置する第1部分51と、第1方向D1において基板100側とは反対側に位置する第2部分52と、を有する。また、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aでは、第1導体部3は第1端部31及び第2端部32を有し、第2導体部4は第1端部41及び第2端部42を有する。
図5に示すように、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aでは、複数の外部電極5の各々は、第1方向D1において基板100側に位置する第1部分51と、第1方向D1において基板100側とは反対側に位置する第2部分52と、を有する。また、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aでは、第1導体部3は第1端部31及び第2端部32を有し、第2導体部4は第1端部41及び第2端部42を有する。
第1導体部3の第1端部31は、複数の外部電極5のうち対応する第1外部電極5Aの第1部分51と電気的に接続されている。また、第1導体部3の第2端部32は、複数の外部電極5のうち対応する第2外部電極5Cの第1部分51と電気的に接続されている。
第2導体部4の第1端部41は、複数の外部電極5のうち対応する第1外部電極5Bの第1部分51と電気的に接続されている。また、第2導体部4の第2端部42は、複数の外部電極5のうち対応する第2外部電極5Dの第1部分51と電気的に接続されている。コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aでは、上述のような構造を取ることで、第1外部電極5Aと第2外部電極5Cとの間の浮遊容量C31は、例えば、0.05pF以下になり得る。同様に、第1外部電極5Bと第2外部電極5Dとの間の浮遊容量C32も、例えば、0.05μF以下になり得る。
(2)周波数特性
次に、実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aの周波数特性について、図6A及び図6Bを参照して、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1(図4A及び図4B参照)及び比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ(図3A及び図3B参照)と比較しながら説明する。図6Aは、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aのコモンモード減衰量の周波数特性図である。図6Bは、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aのモード変換量の周波数特性図である。
次に、実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aの周波数特性について、図6A及び図6Bを参照して、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1(図4A及び図4B参照)及び比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ(図3A及び図3B参照)と比較しながら説明する。図6Aは、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aのコモンモード減衰量の周波数特性図である。図6Bは、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aのモード変換量の周波数特性図である。
実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aでは、コモンモード減衰量が-15dB以下となる周波数範囲は、約1.5GHz以上で、約7.75GHzである(図6A参照)。したがって、実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aは、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1と比較して、コモンモード減衰量が-15dB以下となる周波数範囲は狭くなっている。一方で、比較例に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタと比較して、コモンモード減衰量が-15dB以下となる周波数範囲は広くなっている。このため、実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aにおいても、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1と同様の効果を奏する。つまり、コモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aを通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でも、コモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
また、実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aでは、モード変換量は、例えば、5GHz以下の範囲においては、実施形態1に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1より小さくなっている(図6B参照)。すなわち、実施形態2に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ1Aは、モード変換量に関し、5GHz以下の範囲ではより優れた周波数特性を有する。
なお、実施形態2で説明した種々の構成は、実施形態1で説明した種々の構成と適宜組み合わせて採用可能である。

第1の態様に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ(1、1A)は、実装面(101)を有する基板(100)の実装面(101)に実装されるコモンモードノイズフィルタである。コモンモードノイズフィルタ(1;1A)は、素体(2)と、第1導体部(3)及び第2導体部(4)と、複数の外部電極(5)と、を備える。第1導体部(3)及び第2導体部(4)は、素体(2)の内部に設けられ、実装面(101)に沿った方向(D2)に並んでいる。複数の外部電極(5)は、素体(2)の外面に設けられ、実装面(101)に沿った方向(D2)において素体(2)の両側に配置されている。第1導体部(3)及び第2導体部(4)の各々は、実装面(101)に沿った方向(D2)に沿った中心軸(CA1)の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれたスパイラル導体(30,40)を有する。
この態様では、第1導体部(3)及び第2導体部(4)の各々は、実装面(101)に沿った方向(D2)に沿った中心軸(CA1)の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれたスパイラル導体(30,40)を有する。また、第1導体部(3)及び第2導体部(4)は、実装面(101)に沿った上記方向(D2)に並んでいる。また、複数の外部電極(5)は、実装面(101)に沿った方向(D2)において素体(2)の両側に配置されている。これにより、複数の外部電極(5)のうち入力側の外部電極(5A)と出力側の外部電極(5C)との間の浮遊容量(C31)を低減することが可能となる。また、複数の外部電極(5)のうち入力側の外部電極(5B)と出力側の外部電極(5D)との間の浮遊容量(C32)を低減することが可能となる。その結果、コモンモードノイズフィルタ(1、1A)を通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でも、コモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
第2の態様に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ(1A)では、第1の態様において、複数の外部電極(5)の各々は、第1部分(51)と、第2部分(52)と、を有する。第1部分(51)は、基板(100)の厚さ方向(D1)において基板(100)側に位置する。第2部分(52)は、上記厚さ方向(D1)において基板(100)側とは反対側に位置する。第1導体部(3)及び第2導体部(4)の各々は、第1端部(31,41)及び第2端部(32,42)を有する。第1導体部(3)の第1端部(31)及び第2導体部(4)の第1端部(41)の各々は、複数の外部電極(5)のうち対応する外部電極(5A,5B)の第1部分(51)と電気的に接続されている。第1導体部(3)の第2端部(32)及び第2導体部(4)の第2端部(42)の各々は、複数の外部電極(5)のうち対応する外部電極(5C,5D)の第1部分(51)と電気的に接続されている。
この態様によれば、コモンモードノイズフィルタ(1A)を通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でも、コモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
第3の態様に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ(1)では、第1の態様において、複数の外部電極(5)の各々は、第1部分(51)と、第2部分(52)と、を有する。第1部分(51)は、基板(100)の厚さ方向(D1)において基板(100)側に位置する。第2部分(52)は、上記厚さ方向(D1)において基板(100)側とは反対側に位置する。第1導体部(3)及び第2導体部(4)の各々は、第1端部(31,41)及び第2端部(32,42)を有する。第1導体部(3)の第1端部(31)及び第2導体部(4)の第1端部(41)の各々は、複数の外部電極(5)のうち対応する外部電極(5A,5B)の第1部分(51)と電気的に接続されている。第1導体部(3)の第2端部(32)及び第2導体部(4)の第2端部(42)の各々は、複数の外部電極(5)のうち対応する外部電極(5C,5D)の第2部分(52)と電気的に接続されている。
この態様によれば、コモンモードノイズフィルタ(1)を通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でも、コモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
第4の態様に係るコモンモードノイズフィルタ(1、1A)では、第1~第3の態様のいずれか1つにおいて、複数の外部電極(5)は、第1外部電極(5A,5B)と、第2外部電極(5C,5D)と、を含む。第1外部電極(5A,5B)は、実装面(101)に沿った方向(D2)における一端側に位置する。第2外部電極(5C,5D)は、実装面(101)に沿った方向(D2)における他端側に位置する。第1外部電極(5A)と第2外部電極(5C)との間の浮遊容量(C31)は、0.05pF以下である。また、第1外部電極(5B)と第2外部電極(5D)との間の浮遊容量(C32)は、0.05pF以下である。
この態様によれば、コモンモードノイズフィルタ(1,1A)を通過する信号の周波数が高い場合でも、コモンモード減衰量の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。
第2~第4の態様に係る構成は、コモンモードノイズフィルタ(1、1A)に必須の構成ではなく、適宜省略可能である。

- 実装面を有する基板の前記実装面に実装されるコモンモードノイズフィルタであって、
素体と、
前記素体の内部に設けられ、前記実装面に沿った方向に並んでいる第1導体部及び第2導体部と、
前記素体の外面に設けられ、前記実装面に沿った方向において前記素体の両側に配置されている複数の外部電極と、を備え、
前記第1導体部及び前記第2導体部の各々は、前記実装面に沿った方向に沿った中心軸の回りに渦巻き状に巻かれたスパイラル導体を有する、
コモンモードノイズフィルタ。 - 前記複数の外部電極の各々は、
前記基板の厚さ方向において前記基板側に位置する第1部分と、
前記厚さ方向において前記基板側とは反対側に位置する第2部分と、を有し、
