Abstract
Description
ステンレス鋼材をアルカリ水電解に適用した例として、特許文献2には、ステンレス鋼製のアノードをアルカリ水電解槽内で使用する前に、水酸化カリウム水溶液を主とした腐食剤溶液中に浸して電解することを特徴としたステンレス鋼アノードが記載されている。特許文献2によれば、腐食剤溶液中での電解処理により、ステンレス鋼材の耐食性が未処理のものと比べて向上するとの記載がある。しかしながら、その評価時間は160時間程度の短期間であり、長期間に渡る評価の実績がないため、長時間の耐久性が十分であるかは不明である。
Niを含むステンレス鋼材は、ステンレス鋼材の表面にNiを含む皮膜を形成できるため、アルカリ水電解時の耐久性(耐金属溶出性)の向上に有利である。
しかしながら、ステンレス鋼材中のNi含有量を増加させただけでは、アルカリ水電解時の耐食性に優れる皮膜を形成できないことがある。
また、ステンレス鋼材中のNi含有量が少ない場合、アルカリ水溶液中でアノード電解処理の前に予備処理を行わないと、アルカリ水電解時の耐久性が確保できないことが多い。そのため、予備処理にかかる費用や手間がかかるという課題がある。
また、本発明は、予備処理を行わなくてもアルカリ水電解時の耐久性を確保することが可能なアルカリ水電解装置用部材及びその製造方法を提供することを目的とする。
さらに、本発明は、上記の特徴を有するアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材又はアルカリ水電解装置用部材を備えるアルカリ水電解装置を提供することを目的とする。
また、本発明によれば、予備処理を行わなくてもアルカリ水電解時の耐久性を確保することが可能なアルカリ水電解装置用部材及びその製造方法を提供することができる。
さらに、本発明によれば、上記の特徴を有するアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材又はアルカリ水電解装置用部材を備えるアルカリ水電解装置を提供することができる。
なお、本明細書において成分に関する「%」表示は、特に断らない限り「質量%」を意味する。
本発明の実施形態に係るアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材(以下、「ステンレス鋼材」と略すことがある)は、C:0.100%以下、Si:1.00%以下、Mn:0.30~3.00%、Ni:10.00~35.00%、P:0.0300%以下、S:0.0030%以下、Cr:16.0~28.0%、N:0.01~0.25%、Cu:0.01~1.00%、Mo:0.10~8.00%、Al:0.005~0.100%を含み、残部がFe及び不純物からなる。
また、本明細書において「不純物」とは、ステンレス鋼材を工業的に製造する際に、鉱石、スクラップなどの原料、製造工程の種々の要因によって混入する成分であって、本発明に悪影響を与えない範囲で許容されるものを意味する。例えば、不純物には、不可避的不純物も含まれる。
なお、各元素の含有量に関して、「xx%以下」を含むとは、xx%以下であるが、0%超(特に、不純物レベル超)の量を含むことを意味する。また、本明細書において「~」を用いて表される数値範囲は、「~」の前後に記載される数値を下限値及び上限値として含む範囲を意味する。
以下、各成分について詳細に説明する。
Cは、オーステナイト相の安定化に有効な元素である。ただし、CはCr炭化物の析出を促進するため、C含有量が多すぎると粒界腐食が発生してアルカリ水電解時の耐久性が低下する。このため、C含有量は、0.100%以下、好ましくは0.095%以下、より好ましくは0.090%以下、更に好ましくは0.085%以下、特に好ましくは0.080%以下とする。一方、C含有量の下限値は、特に限定されないが、Cによる上記効果を得る観点からは0.001%である。
なお、上記のC含有量の数値(下限値)又は数値範囲は、当該数値又は数値範囲のいかなる組み合わせであってもよい。したがって、例えば、C含有量は0.001~0.100%、0.001~0.095%、0.001~0.090%、0.001~0.085%又は0.001~0.080%とすることができる。以下のその他の元素の含有量の数値(上限値若しくは下限値)又は数値範囲についても同様である。
Siは、脱酸や耐酸化性の向上に有効な元素である。ただし、Si含有量が多すぎると、ステンレス鋼材が硬質化し、加工性及び靭性(特に、溶接した場合の溶接部の靭性)が低下する。このため、Si含有量は、1.00%以下、好ましくは0.95%以下、より好ましくは0.90%以下、更に好ましくは0.85%以下、特に好ましくは0.80%以下とする。一方、Si含有量の下限値は、特に限定されないが、Siによる上記効果を得る観点からは0.01%である。
Mnは、アルカリ水電解時にステンレス鋼材の表面にNi濃縮皮膜を形成するのに必要な元素である。この効果を確保するために、Mn含有量は、0.30%以上、好ましくは0.35%以上、より好ましくは0.40%以上とする。ただし、Mn含有量が多すぎると耐食性が低下する。このため、Mn含有量は、3.00%以下、好ましくは2.80%以下、より好ましくは2.50%以下、更に好ましくは2.00%以下、特に好ましくは1.50%以下とする。
Niは、アルカリ水電解時の耐久性(耐金属溶出性)の向上に有効な元素である。この効果を確保するために、Ni含有量は、10.00%以上、好ましくは10.50%以上、より好ましくは11.00%以上、更に好ましくは11.50%以上とする。ただし、Ni含有量が多すぎるとコストが上昇する。このため、Ni含有量は、35.00%以下、好ましくは34.50%以下とする。
Pは、各種原料に含有される元素である。P含有量が多すぎると溶接性や加工性が低下する。このため、P含有量は、0.0300%以下、好ましくは0.0290%以下、より好ましくは0.0250%以下とする。一方、P含有量の下限は、特に限定されないが、Pを除去することは精錬に非常に大きなコストが必要となる。このため、P含有量は、経済性を考慮すると、0.0001%以上とすることができる。
Sは、各種原料に含有される元素である。S含有量が多すぎると、靭性(特に、溶接した場合の溶接部の靭性)が低下するとともに、腐食起点となる介在物が生成され易くなる。このため、S含有量は、0.0030%以下、好ましくは0.0029%以下、より好ましくは0.0025%以下とする。一方、S含有量の下限は、特に限定されないが、Sを除去することは精錬に非常に大きなコストが必要となる。このため、S含有量は、経済性を考慮すると、0.0001%以上とすることができる。
Crは、耐食性の確保に有効な元素である。この効果を確保するために、Cr含有量は、16.0%以上、好ましくは16.5%以上、より好ましくは17.0%以上とする。ただし、Cr含有量が多すぎるとコストが上昇する。このため、Cr含有量は、28.0%以下、好ましくは27.5%以下、より好ましくは27.0%以下とする。
Nは、コストの低減に有効な元素である。また、Nは、オーステナイト相に固溶して強度及び耐食性を高めて省合金化に寄与する元素でもある。これらの効果を確保するために、N含有量は、0.01%以上、好ましくは0.02%以上、より好ましくは0.03%以上、更に好ましくは0.05%以上とする。ただし、N含有量が多すぎると、ステンレス鋼材中に気泡が発生し易くなる。このため、N含有量は、0.25%以下、好ましくは0.23%以下、より好ましくは0.20%以下とする。
Cuは、脱硫及び脱酸に有効な元素である。また、Cuは、耐食性の向上にも寄与する。この効果を確保するために、Cu含有量は、0.01%以上、好ましくは0.03%以上、より好ましくは0.05%以上、更に好ましくは0.10%以上とする。ただし、Cu含有量が多すぎるとコストが上昇する。このため、Cu含有量は、1.00%以下、好ましくは0.95%以下、より好ましくは0.90%以下とする。
Moは、耐食性の向上に有効な元素である。この効果を確保するために、Mo含有量は、0.10%以上、好ましくは0.13%以上、より好ましくは0.15%以上、更に好ましくは0.20%以上とする。ただし、Mo含有量が多すぎるとコストが上昇する。このため、Mo含有量は、8.00%以下、好ましくは7.80%以下、より好ましくは7.50%以下とする。
Alは、アルカリ水電解装置の稼働環境(アルカリ環境且つ高電位の環境)において、溶出するものの、ステンレス鋼材の表面で水和するため、FeやCrなどの他の金属に比べて溶出速度が遅く、他の金属の溶出速度も減少させる効果を有する。また、Alは、耐酸化性、脱酸性及び加工性の向上に有効な元素でもある。これらの効果を確保するために、Al含有量は、0.005%以上、好ましくは0.010%以上、より好ましくは0.020%以上、更に好ましくは0.028%以上、特に好ましくは0.030%以上とする。ただし、Al含有量が多すぎると、耐酸化性及び脱酸性が逆に低下し、介在物が生じ易くなる。このため、Al含有量は、0.100%以下、好ましくは0.098%以下、より好ましくは0.095%以下とする。
Nb及びTiは、鋭敏化を抑制し、耐粒界腐食性を向上させるのに有効な元素である。ただし、Nb及びTiの含有量が多すぎると、加工性が低下するとともにコストも上昇する。このため、Nb及びTiの含有量はそれぞれ、1.00%以下、好ましくは0.90%以下、より好ましくは0.80%以下とする。一方、Nb及びTiの含有量の下限は、特に限定されないが、上記の効果を確保するために、それぞれ0.01%以上、0.03%以上又は0.05%以上とすることができる。
Mg及びCaは、介在物の生成を抑制し、耐食性を向上させるのに有効な元素である。ただし、Mg及びCaの含有量が多すぎると熱間加工性が低下する。このため、Mg及びCaの含有量はそれぞれ、0.1000%以下、好ましくは0.0900%以下、より好ましくは0.0800%以下とする。一方、Mg及びCaの含有量の下限は、特に限定されないが、上記の効果を確保するために、それぞれ0.0001%以上、0.0003%以上又は0.0005%以上とすることができる。
Zr、Co、V及びWは、耐酸化性の向上に有効な元素である。ただし、Zr、Co、V及びWの含有量が多すぎると、加工性及び靭性が低下するとともにコストも上昇する。このため、Zr、Co、V及びWの含有量はそれぞれ、1.00%以下、好ましくは0.90%以下、より好ましくは0.80%以下とする。一方、Zr、Co、V及びWの含有量の下限は、特に限定されないが、上記の効果を確保するために、それぞれ0.01%以上、0.02%以上又は0.03%以上とすることができる。
REM(希土類元素)は、耐酸化性の向上に有効な元素である。ただし、REM含有量が多すぎると、製造性が損なわれるとともにコストも上昇する。このため、REM含有量は、0.10%以下、好ましくは0.09%以下、より好ましくは0.08%以下とする。一方、REM含有量の下限は、特に限定されないが、上記の効果を確保するために、0.01%以上、0.02%以上又は0.03%以上とすることができる。
なお、REMは、Sc、Y及びLa~Luまでの15元素(ランタノイド)の計17元素の総称であり、REM含有量はこれらの元素の合計含有量を意味する。これらの元素は単独又は2種以上を組み合わせて用いることができる。また、ランタノイドは、工業的には、ミッシュメタルの形で添加される。
Snは、耐酸化性の向上に有効な元素である。ただし、Sn含有量が多すぎると熱間加工性が低下する。このため、Sn含有量は、0.10%以下、好ましくは0.09%以下、より好ましくは0.08%以下とする。一方、Sn含有量の下限は、特に限定されないが、上記の効果を確保するために、0.01%以上又は0.02%以上とすることができる。
Bは、熱間加工性の向上に有効な元素である。ただし、B含有量が多すぎると耐食性が低下する。このため、B含有量は、0.0100%以下、好ましくは0.0095%以下、より好ましくは0.0090%以下とする。一方、B含有量の下限は、特に限定されないが、上記の効果を確保するために、0.0001%以上、好ましくは0.0003%以上、より好ましくは0.0005%以上とすることができる。
ここで、本明細書において「オーステナイト系」とは、常温で金属組織が主にオーステナイト相であるものを意味する。したがって、「オーステナイト系」には、オーステナイト相以外の相(例えば、フェライト相やマルテンサイト相など)が僅かに含まれるものも包含される。ただし、「オーステナイト系」には、フェライト相とオーステナイト相との複相組織、フェライト相とマルテンサイト相との複相組織、フェライト相とオーステナイト相とマルテンサイト相との複相組織は含まれない。
ここで、本明細書において「表面の算術平均高さSa」は、ISO 25178-2:2012に準拠し、表面形状の測定及び解析を行うことによって得ることができる。
CNi×CAl≧100.0 ・・・(1)
式中、CNiは、Ni濃縮皮膜の表面から深さ4nmまでの領域におけるNi、Fe及びAlの合計に対するNiの平均濃度(原子%)であり、CAlは、Ni濃縮皮膜の表面から深さ4nmまでの領域におけるNi、Fe及びAlの合計に対するAlの平均濃度(原子%)である。
また、Ni濃縮皮膜の表面から深さ4nmまでの領域におけるNi、Fe及びAlの量は、FE-AES(電界放出形オージェ電子分光法)により、表面からの元素の深さプロファイルを測定することで算出できる。この元素分析において測定対象となる元素は、C、O、Fe、Cr、Ni及びMnであり、これらの元素の測定量から各元素の濃度を算出できる。Ni、Fe及びAlの合計に対するNiの平均濃度は、測定対象となる元素のうち、Ni、Fe、Alの元素の合計を100とした場合のNiの量の百分率である。また、Ni、Fe及びAlの合計量を100とした場合のAlの量の百分率である。
本発明の実施形態に係るステンレス鋼材の厚さは、作製される部品の種類に応じて適宜調整すればよく特に限定されないが、好ましくは0.2~5.0mm、より好ましくは0.2~4.0mm、更に好ましくは0.2~3.0mm、特に好ましくは0.2~2.0mmである。なお、ステンレス鋼材が棒状の場合、厚さは断面の円相当径を意味する。また、ステンレス鋼材が形鋼の場合、厚さは断面の任意の箇所の厚さのことを意味する。
以下、本発明の実施形態に係るステンレス鋼材の製造方法の一例について説明する。
まず、上述の化学組成に調整した鋼を常法により溶製、鋳造し、熱間圧延に供する鋼片(スラブ)を得る。続いて、常法により、熱間圧延を行う。熱間圧延時の条件は、特に限定されないが、通常、鋼片の加熱温度を1050~1250℃とすることが好ましく、1180~1250℃とすることがより好ましい。また、熱間圧延の仕上温度は950~1000℃とすることが好ましい。熱間圧延後は、必要に応じて、焼鈍、酸洗を施してもよい。焼鈍の条件は、特に限定されないが、例えば、1000~1150℃(好ましくは1050~1150℃)で3~6分保持すればよい。また、酸洗は、特に限定されず、公知の方法に準じて行えばよい。
機械研磨は、表面からステンレス鋼材の厚み方向に10μmまでの範囲で行うのが好ましい。機械研磨は、研磨紙又は研磨砥石などを用いてよく、固形研磨剤を使用しても構わない。また、電解研磨は、市販の電解研磨溶液を使用してもよい。電解研磨の処理は40~60℃で行うのが好ましい。その他の電解研磨の条件として、電流密度は1~20dm2、時間は1~10分の範囲で行うことが望ましい。
本発明の実施形態に係るアルカリ水電解装置用部材は、上記のステンレス鋼材からなる基材と、基材の表面に形成されたNi濃縮皮膜とを備える。
本発明の実施形態に係るアルカリ水電解装置用部材は、このような構成とすることにより、基材の表面に形成されたNi濃縮皮膜によってアルカリ水電解時の耐久性(耐金属溶出性)を確保することができる。
ここで、表面から深さ1nmの位置におけるFe、Ni及びCrの合計に対するNiの平均濃度は、Niの平均濃度の測定位置が表面からの深さ1nmの位置とすること以外は、上述したFE-AES(電界放出形オージェ電子分光法)を用いる方法と同様にして測定することができる。
本発明の実施形態に係るアルカリ水電解装置用部材は、アルカリ水電解装置に配置して電解処理するだけでNi濃縮皮膜を形成できるため、予備処理を行わなくてもアルカリ水電解時の耐久性を確保することができる。
アルカリ水溶液には、アルカリ水溶液のpHを制御するためにpH調整試薬としての無機化合物を添加してもよい。無機化合物の例としては、KOH、NaOH、Ca(OH)2、K2CO3、Na2CO3、CaCO3などが挙げられる。これらは単独又は複数を組み合わせて用いることができる。また、アルカリ水溶液の温度も特に限定されないが、Ni濃縮皮膜の生成速度の観点から、好ましくは20~90℃、より好ましくは30~80℃である。
本発明の実施形態に係るアルカリ水電解装置は、上記のステンレス鋼材又は上記のアルカリ水電解装置用部材を備える。
本発明の実施形態に係るアルカリ水電解装置は、このような構成とすることにより、アルカリ水電解処理時にNi濃縮皮膜がステンレス鋼材の表面に形成されるか、又はNi濃縮皮膜が予めステンレス鋼材(基材)の表面に形成されているため、アルカリ水電解時の耐久性(耐金属溶出性)を確保することができる。
以下の手順にしたがってステンレス鋼板を作製した。
表1に示す組成のスラブを溶製し、厚さ50mmのスラブを表2に示す温度で1時間加熱した後、仕上温度を表2に示す温度として熱間圧延し、表2に示す厚さの熱延板とした。次に、熱延板を表2に示す温度及び時間に保持することで焼鈍した後、酸洗して熱延焼鈍板を得た。次に、熱延焼鈍板を冷間圧延して表2に示す厚さの冷延板とした。次に、冷延板を表2に示す温度及び時間に保持することで焼鈍して冷延焼鈍板を得た。次に、冷延焼鈍板に対し、表2に示す研磨を行った。なお、表2において、「#600湿式」は、番手#600のSiC研磨紙を用い、15分以上の湿式研磨を行ったことを意味する。また、「#120湿式」は、番手#120のSiC研磨紙で15分以上の湿式研磨を行ったことを意味する。また、「鏡面研磨」は、SiC研磨紙で15分以上の湿式研磨を行った後、ダイヤモンドペーストを用いて15分以上のバフ研磨を行ったことを意味する。
ステンレス鋼板の表面の算術平均高さSaをISO 25178-2:2012に準拠して測定した。表面粗さの測定装置には、レーザー顕微鏡(株式会社キーエンス製VK-X3000)を用いた。測定では、ステンレス鋼板の表面を50倍の対物レンズを用いて1視野観察した。観察した1視野のうち、50μm×50μmの領域を5つ選択し、各領域における算術平均高さSaを算出した。算出された5つの領域の算術平均高さSaを平均した値を評価結果とした。
ステンレス鋼板から50mm(圧延方向)×10mm(幅方向)×2mm(厚み方向)の試験片を採取した。次に、採取した試験片に耐アルカリテープを巻き、試験片下部2cmのみが電解されるように電解サンプルを作製した。作製した電解サンプルを60℃の0.1M KOH水溶液に浸漬し、電解電位1.2V(vs.SHE)で100時間の定電位電解試験を行った。次に、定電位電解試験後にKOH水溶液をサンプリングし、ICP-OES(誘導結合プラズマ発光分光分析)により金属溶出量を測定した。ICP-OESには、株式会社島津製作所製ICPS-8100を用い、測定対象金属をFe、Cr、Ni及びMnとし、これらの金属の溶出量の合計[μg]をKOH水溶液の体積[L]及び電解時間[h]で割ることによって金属溶出量[μg/(L・h)]とした。
この評価において、金属溶出量が0.60[μg/L・h]以下であれば金属溶出量が非常に少ない、金属溶出量が0.60[μg/L・h]を超え1.50[μg/L・h]以下であれば金属溶出量が少ない、金属溶出量が1.50[μg/L・h]を超えれば金属溶出量が多いと判断できる。
上記のアルカリ水電解試験後の試験片の表面(Ni濃縮皮膜の表面)において、FE-AES(日本電子株式会社製JUMP-9510F)を用い、表面からの元素の深さプロファイルを測定した。そして、表面から深さ4nmまでの領域におけるNi、Fe及びAlの合計に対するNiの平均濃度(CNi)、及び表面から深さ4nmまでの領域におけるNi、Fe及びAlの合計に対するAlの平均濃度(CAl)を求め、CNi×CAlを算出した。
この評価において、CNi×CAlの値が100.0以上であれば、アルカリ水電解時の耐久性が良好であると判断できる。
上記のアルカリ水電解試験後の試験片の表面(Ni濃縮皮膜の表面)において、上記と同様にして表面からの元素の深さプロファイルを測定した。そして、表面から深さ1nmの位置におけるFe、Ni及びCrの合計に対するNiの平均濃度を算出した。
この評価において、Ni濃縮皮膜の表面のNi平均濃度が35.0原子%以上であれば、アルカリ水電解時の耐久性が良好であると判断できる。
これに対して比較例2は、Ni含有量が少なすぎたため、適切なNi濃縮皮膜が形成されなかったことから、金属溶出量が多くなった。
比較例1は、Alを含んでいないため、適切なNi濃縮皮膜が形成されなかったことから、金属溶出量が多くなった。
[2] 質量基準で、Nb:1.00%以下、Ti:1.00%以下、Mg:0.1000%以下、Ca:0.1000%以下、Zr:1.00%以下、Co:1.00%以下、V:1.00%以下、W:1.00%以下、REM:0.10%以下、Sn:0.10%以下、B:0.0100%以下から選択される1種以上を更に含む、[1]に記載のアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材。
[3] 前記アルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材を60℃の0.1M KOH水溶液に浸漬し、1.2V(vs.SHE)の電位で100時間電解した時に形成されるNi濃縮皮膜が以下の式(1)を満たす、[1]又は[2]に記載のアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材。

式中、CNiは、前記Ni濃縮皮膜の表面から深さ4nmまでの領域におけるNi、Fe及びAlの合計に対するNiの平均濃度(原子%)であり、CAlは、前記Ni濃縮皮膜の表面から深さ4nmまでの領域におけるNi、Fe及びAlの合計に対するAlの平均濃度(原子%)である。
[5] [1]~[4]のいずれか一つに記載のアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材からなる基材と、前記基材の表面に形成されたNi濃縮皮膜とを備えるアルカリ水電解装置用部材。
[6] 前記Ni濃縮皮膜は、表面から深さ1nmの位置におけるFe、Ni及びCrの合計に対するNiの平均濃度が35.0原子%以上である、[5]に記載のアルカリ水電解装置用部材。
[7] [1]~[4]のいずれか一つに記載のアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材からなる基材を、アルカリ水電解装置に配置して電解処理を行う、アルカリ水電解装置用部材の製造方法。
[8] [1]~[4]のいずれか一つに記載のアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材、又は[5]若しくは[6]に記載のアルカリ水電解装置用部材を備えるアルカリ水電解装置。
Claims (8)
- 質量基準で、C:0.100%以下、Si:1.00%以下、Mn:0.30~3.00%、Ni:10.00~35.00%、P:0.0300%以下、S:0.0030%以下、Cr:16.0~28.0%、N:0.01~0.25%、Cu:0.01~1.00%、Mo:0.10~8.00%、Al:0.005~0.100%を含み、残部がFe及び不純物からなるアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材。
- 質量基準で、Nb:1.00%以下、Ti:1.00%以下、Mg:0.1000%以下、Ca:0.1000%以下、Zr:1.00%以下、Co:1.00%以下、V:1.00%以下、W:1.00%以下、REM:0.10%以下、Sn:0.10%以下、B:0.0100%以下から選択される1種以上を更に含む、請求項1に記載のアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材。
- 前記アルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材を60℃の0.1M KOH水溶液に浸漬し、1.2V(vs.SHE)の電位で100時間電解した時に形成されるNi濃縮皮膜が以下の式(1)を満たす、請求項1又は2に記載のアルカリ水電解装置用ステンレス鋼材。
