Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a system for concentrating water containing an organic solvent and a method for concentrating water containing an organic solvent.
  • Patent Document 1 discloses a method in which a dilute solution of dimethylformamide in water as a solvent is treated and concentrated using a reverse osmosis membrane method, and the resulting concentrate is concentrated using a distillation method to recover dimethylformamide.
  • Patent Document 1 combines reverse osmosis membrane method and evaporation method, but since evaporation method requires a large amount of energy, if energy reduction is also taken into consideration, it is desirable to use reverse osmosis method as much as possible. Therefore, for example, a system can be considered in which reverse osmosis membranes are configured in multiple stages to further concentrate the obtained concentrated liquid. However, in such a system, the more concentrated the liquid, the higher the operating pressure required, and the operating pressure may exceed the pressure limit of the reverse osmosis membrane. For this reason, there are limitations to concentration using the conventional reverse osmosis membrane method.

Description

  Δπ=(πf+πc)/2-πp
