Description
本発明は、ビスシラン化合物からなるヒドロシリル化反応基質に関し、さらに詳述すると、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を1つ有し、かつ、同一分子内にケイ素原子に直接結合したエチニル基を1つ有するビスシラン化合物からなるオルガノポリシロキサンの変性剤に関するものである。
従来、空気中の水分と接触することによって加水分解・縮合反応により架橋し、室温(23℃±15℃)で硬化してエラストマー(シリコーンゴム)になる室温硬化性オルガノポリシロキサン組成物は、種々のタイプのものが公知である。とりわけ架橋時の縮合反応によりアルコールを放出して硬化する脱アルコールタイプのものは不快臭がない、金属類を腐食しないという特徴により、電気・電子機器等のシーリング用、接着用、コーティング用に好んで使用されている。
かかる組成物の代表例としては、シラノール基末端封鎖直鎖状オルガノポリシロキサンとアルコキシシランと有機チタン化合物からなる組成物、アルコキシシリル基末端封鎖直鎖状オルガノポリシロキサンとアルコキシシランとアルコキシチタンからなる組成物、シルエチレン基を含むアルコキシシリル基で末端が封鎖された直鎖状オルガノポリシロキサンとアルコキシシランとアルコキシチタンからなる組成物、更に、シラノール基末端封鎖直鎖状オルガノポリシロキサン又はアルコキシ基末端封鎖直鎖状オルガノポリシロキサンとアルコキシ-α-シリルエステル化合物からなる組成物などが挙げられる。
これらの組成物は、ある程度の保存安定性、耐水性、耐湿性が得られているが、これらの物性を完全に満足するには至っていない。更に、速硬化性に関しても、まだ不十分であった。
上述した通り、加水分解性(反応性)アルコキシシリル基を末端に有する直鎖状オルガノシロキサンポリマーは、従来公知である。この直鎖状オルガノシロキサンポリマーを主成分とする組成物は、予め、ポリマーの末端基がアルコキシシリル基で封鎖されているため、経時的に硬化性が低下し難く、保存安定性に優れている。また、作業性(粘度、チキソ性等)を任意に調整可能である。更にポリマーが空気中の水分と反応し、架橋することで、エラストマー(オルガノポリシロキサン組成物の硬化物)を形成する。このエラストマーは、優れた特性(硬度、引張り強さ、切断時伸び)も有している。
しかしながら、脱アルコールタイプの室温硬化性オルガノポリシロキサン組成物は、従来公知の他の硬化タイプである脱オキシムタイプ、脱酢酸タイプ、脱アセトンタイプ等のものと比較すると、空気中の水分との反応性が低いため、硬化性が不十分であった。
そこで、速硬化性に優れ、かつ耐湿性(耐湿条件下での保存後の硬化性)に優れた硬化物を与えることが可能な室温硬化性オルガノポリシロキサン組成物の開発を目的として、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン基(アルコキシシリル-エテニレン基)を末端に有するポリマーおよびそのポリマーを主成分とする組成物を発明者等は提案している(特許文献1~4)。しかし、これらのポリマーは、末端にエチニル基を有するポリマーから誘導する必要があるため、工業的に有利に製造できるものではない。
そのため、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン基の末端構造を有する有機ケイ素化合物およびこの有機ケイ素化合物を含む室温硬化性オルガノポリシロキサン組成物が提案された(特許文献5~10)。一方で、このようなアルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を有する有機ケイ素化合物は、ビス(アルコキシシリル-ビニレン)型のもののみであり、オルガノポリシロキサンとの反応機構も加水分解縮合反応に限定されていた。
従って、本発明は、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン基および付加反応性の官能基を有し、オルガノポリシロキサンと反応してアルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を導入することが可能な変性剤を提供することを目的とする。
本発明者は、上記目的を達成するために鋭意研究した結果、ジエチニルジオルガノシランに対し、アルコキシハイドロジェンシランを白金触媒等の存在下でヒドロシリル化反応させたビスシラン化合物が、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を1分子中に1個有し、さらに同一分子内にエチニル基を1つ有することにより、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を他のSi-H基を有するオルガノポリシロキサン等へヒドロシリル化反応により導入することが可能な変性剤として有用であることを見出し、本発明を完成した。
即ち、本発明は、下記の変性剤等を提供するものである。

本発明のビスシラン化合物からなる変性剤は、速硬化性(加水分解性)に優れたアルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を有し、かつ、炭素-炭素三重結合であるエチニル基をケイ素原子上に有するため、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を他のSi-H基を有するポリシロキサン等へ付加反応により導入することが可能である。
従って、本発明のビスシラン化合物からなる変性剤は、速硬化性に優れるオルガノポリシロキサンを製造する際の原料として工業的に有用である。

以下、本発明を更に詳細に説明する。
<ビスシラン化合物からなる変性剤>
本発明に係る上記一般式(1)で表されるビスシラン化合物は、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン結合をケイ素原子上に1つ含み、かつ、同一ケイ素原子上に炭素-炭素三重結合であるエチニル基を1つ含むもの(即ち、エチニル(アルコキシシリル-ビニレン)シラン化合物)である。
<ビスシラン化合物からなる変性剤>
本発明に係る上記一般式(1)で表されるビスシラン化合物は、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン結合をケイ素原子上に1つ含み、かつ、同一ケイ素原子上に炭素-炭素三重結合であるエチニル基を1つ含むもの(即ち、エチニル(アルコキシシリル-ビニレン)シラン化合物)である。
ここで、上記一般式(1)中、R1の炭素数1から20の置換又は非置換の一価炭化水素基としては、同一または異なっていてもよく、メチル基、エチル基、n-プロピル基、イソプロピル基、n-ブチル基、イソブチル基、tert-ブチル基、ペンチル基、ネオペンチル基、ヘキシル基、ヘプチル基、オクチル基、ノニル基、デシル基、ウンデシル基、ドデシル基、トリデシル基、テトラデシル基、ペンタデシル基、ヘキサデシル基、ヘプタデシル基、オクタデシル基、ノナデシル基、エイコシル基等のアルキル基;シクロペンチル基、シクロヘキシル基等のシクロアルキル基;ビニル基、アリル基、ブテニル基、ペンテニル基、ヘキセニル基等のアルケニル基;フェニル基、トリル基、キシリル基、α-,β-ナフチル基等のアリール基;ベンジル基、2-フェニルエチル基、3-フェニルプロピル基等のアラルキル基;また、これらの基の水素原子の一部又は全部が、F、Cl、Br等のハロゲン原子やシアノ基等で置換された基、例えば、3-クロロプロピル基、3,3,3-トリフルオロプロピル基、2-シアノエチル基等を例示することができる。これらの中でも、炭素数1~10、特に炭素数1~6の一価炭化水素基が好ましく、とりわけ、メチル基、エチル基、フェニル基がより好ましく、入手の容易さ、生産性、コストの面からメチル基、フェニル基が更に好ましい。

R2の炭素数1から20のアルキル基としては、メチル基、エチル基、n-プロピル基、イソプロピル基、n-ブチル基、イソブチル基、tert-ブチル基、ペンチル基、ネオペンチル基、ヘキシル基、ヘプチル基、オクチル基、ノニル基、デシル基、ウンデシル基、ドデシル基、トリデシル基、テトラデシル基、ペンタデシル基、ヘキサデシル基、ヘプタデシル基、オクタデシル基、ノナデシル基、エイコシル基等が挙げられる。シクロアルキル基としては、シクロペンチル基、シクロヘキシル基等が挙げられる。置換基を有してもよい炭素数1から20のアルキル基としては、ベンジル基、2-フェニルエチル基、3-フェニルプロピル基等のアラルキル基が挙げられる。また、これらの(置換)アルキル基の水素原子の一部又は全部が、F、Cl、Br等のハロゲン原子やシアノ基等で置換されていてもよく、これには、例えば、3-クロロプロピル基、3,3,3-トリフルオロプロピル基、2-シアノエチル基等が挙げられる。R2としては、これらの中でも、炭素数1~6、特に炭素数1~4のアルキル基が好ましく、とりわけ、メチル基、エチル基がより好ましく、入手の容易さ、生産性、コストの面からメチル基が更に好ましい。
一般式(1)で表されるビスシラン化合物の具体例としては、例えば、下記構造式で表されるものが挙げられる。
上記一般式(1)で表されるビスシラン化合物は、オルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサン、すなわち、ハイドロジェンシリル基を有するポリシロキサン等へ、ヒドロシリル化反応によりアルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を導入するための変性剤として有用である。
<ビスシラン化合物からなる変性剤の製造方法>
上記ビスシラン化合物は、例えば、同一ケイ素原子上にエチニル基を2つ有するシラン(ジエチニルジオルガノシラン)と、アルコキシハイドロジェンシランとのヒドロシリル化反応により製造することができる。より具体的には、上記ビスシラン化合物は、下記式(2)で表されるジエチニルジオルガノシランに対し、下記式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシランをヒドロシリル化反応により付加する下記反応式[1]で表される工程を有する方法により製造することができる。
上記ビスシラン化合物は、例えば、同一ケイ素原子上にエチニル基を2つ有するシラン(ジエチニルジオルガノシラン)と、アルコキシハイドロジェンシランとのヒドロシリル化反応により製造することができる。より具体的には、上記ビスシラン化合物は、下記式(2)で表されるジエチニルジオルガノシランに対し、下記式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシランをヒドロシリル化反応により付加する下記反応式[1]で表される工程を有する方法により製造することができる。
上記ヒドロシリル化反応における触媒としては、白金族金属系触媒、例えば白金系、パラジウム系、ロジウム系、ルテニウム系のものがあるが、白金系のものが特に好適である。この白金系のものとしては、例えば、白金黒、アルミナ、シリカ等の担体に固体白金を担持させたもの、塩化白金酸、アルコール変性塩化白金酸、塩化白金酸とオレフィンとの錯体あるいは白金とビニルシロキサンとの錯体等を挙げることができる。白金族金属系触媒は1種単独で使用しても2種以上を併用してもよい。これらの白金族金属系触媒の使用量は、所謂触媒量でよく、例えば式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシランに対して、白金族金属換算で0.1~1,000質量ppm、特に0.5~100質量ppmで使用できる。
上記ヒドロシリル化反応は、常法に従って行えばよく、例えば、50~120℃、特に60~100℃の温度で、0.5~12時間、特に1~6時間行うことが好ましく、また溶媒を使用せずに行うことができるが、必要によりヘキサン、オクタン、トルエン、キシレン等の有機溶剤を使用してもよい。
また、式(2)で表されるジエチニルジオルガノシラン1モルに対し、式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシラン1モルを反応させるため、式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシランに対し、過剰量の式(2)で表されるジエチニルジオルガノシランを混合し、ヒドロシリル化反応を行うことが好ましく、式(2)で表されるジエチニルジオルガノシラン:式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシラン=9:2~3:2(モル比)で反応することが好ましく、4:1~2:1(モル比)で反応することがより好ましい。
また、式(2)で表されるジエチニルジオルガノシラン1モルに対し、式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシラン1モルを反応させるため、式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシランに対し、過剰量の式(2)で表されるジエチニルジオルガノシランを混合し、ヒドロシリル化反応を行うことが好ましく、式(2)で表されるジエチニルジオルガノシラン:式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシラン=9:2~3:2(モル比)で反応することが好ましく、4:1~2:1(モル比)で反応することがより好ましい。
エチニル基に対する付加反応では、例えば、下記反応式[2]で表される幾何異性体が生成される。このうち、E体(trans体)の生成が高選択的であり、反応性も高い。変性剤としての特性に影響がないことから、本発明において、これら幾何異性体を分離することなく使用することができる。
上記ヒドロシリル化反応により付加する工程によって、一般式(1)で表されるビスシラン化合物からなる変性剤を製造することができるが、上記ヒドロシリル化反応により付加する工程後、適宜、常法に従って精製を行ってもよい。
以下、実施例を示し、本発明を具体的に説明するが、本発明は下記の実施例に制限されるものではない。なお、下記の具体例において、「部」は「質量部」を意味し、また粘度は25℃での回転粘度計による測定値を示したものである。
[実施例1]
機械攪拌機、温度計及び滴下ロートを備えた500mLの四つ口セパラブルフラスコに、ジエチニルジメチルシラン90.9g(0.840モル)、塩化白金酸(H2PtCl6・6H2O)の0.5質量%トルエン溶液0.25g及びトルエン50mLを入れ、トリメトキシシラン51.3g(0.420モル)を滴下した。その後、85℃で6時間撹拌後、蒸留して未反応原料のジエチニルジメチルシランを回収し、下記構造式で表されるエチニル(トリメトキシシリル-ビニレン)ジメチルシラン91.9g(トリメトキシシランの反応率95%)を得た。
機械攪拌機、温度計及び滴下ロートを備えた500mLの四つ口セパラブルフラスコに、ジエチニルジメチルシラン90.9g(0.840モル)、塩化白金酸(H2PtCl6・6H2O)の0.5質量%トルエン溶液0.25g及びトルエン50mLを入れ、トリメトキシシラン51.3g(0.420モル)を滴下した。その後、85℃で6時間撹拌後、蒸留して未反応原料のジエチニルジメチルシランを回収し、下記構造式で表されるエチニル(トリメトキシシリル-ビニレン)ジメチルシラン91.9g(トリメトキシシランの反応率95%)を得た。
[実施例2]
機械攪拌機、温度計及び滴下ロートを備えた500mLの四つ口セパラブルフラスコに、ジエチニルジメチルシラン212.1g(1.959モル)、塩化白金酸(H2PtCl6・6H2O)の0.5質量%トルエン溶液0.58g及びトルエン50mLを入れ、ジメトキシメチルシラン53.6g(0.506モル)を滴下した。その後、85℃で6時間撹拌後、蒸留して未反応原料のジエチニルジメチルシランを回収し、下記構造式で表されるエチニル(ジメトキシメチルシリル-ビニレン)ジメチルシラン102.9g(ジメトキシシランの反応率95%)を得た。
機械攪拌機、温度計及び滴下ロートを備えた500mLの四つ口セパラブルフラスコに、ジエチニルジメチルシラン212.1g(1.959モル)、塩化白金酸(H2PtCl6・6H2O)の0.5質量%トルエン溶液0.58g及びトルエン50mLを入れ、ジメトキシメチルシラン53.6g(0.506モル)を滴下した。その後、85℃で6時間撹拌後、蒸留して未反応原料のジエチニルジメチルシランを回収し、下記構造式で表されるエチニル(ジメトキシメチルシリル-ビニレン)ジメチルシラン102.9g(ジメトキシシランの反応率95%)を得た。
[実施例3]
機械攪拌機、温度計及び滴下ロートを備えた500mLの四つ口セパラブルフラスコに、ジエチニルジメチルシラン90.9g(0.840モル)、塩化白金酸(H2PtCl6・6H2O)の0.5質量%トルエン溶液0.25g及びトルエン50mLを入れ、トリエトキシシラン35.6g(0.271モル)を滴下した。その後、85℃で6時間撹拌後、蒸留して未反応原料のジエチニルジメチルシランを回収し、下記構造式で表されるエチニル(トリエトキシシリル-ビニレン)ジメチルシランを56.2g(トリエトキシシランの反応率95%)を得た。
機械攪拌機、温度計及び滴下ロートを備えた500mLの四つ口セパラブルフラスコに、ジエチニルジメチルシラン90.9g(0.840モル)、塩化白金酸(H2PtCl6・6H2O)の0.5質量%トルエン溶液0.25g及びトルエン50mLを入れ、トリエトキシシラン35.6g(0.271モル)を滴下した。その後、85℃で6時間撹拌後、蒸留して未反応原料のジエチニルジメチルシランを回収し、下記構造式で表されるエチニル(トリエトキシシリル-ビニレン)ジメチルシランを56.2g(トリエトキシシランの反応率95%)を得た。
[実施例4]
機械攪拌機、温度計及び滴下ロートを備えた500mLの四つ口セパラブルフラスコに、実施例1で得られたエチニル(トリメトキシシリル-ビニレン)ジメチルシラン41.6g(0.181モル)、塩化白金酸(H2PtCl6・6H2O)の0.5質量%トルエン溶液0.5g及びトルエン200mLを入れ、H-((CH3)2SiO2/2)30-Si(CH3)3で表される片末端がSi-Hで封鎖されたポリジメチルシロキサン375g(Si-H、0.181モル)を滴下し、その後、85℃で6時間撹拌後、トルエンを留去して、下記に示すオルガノポシシロキサン396g(収率95%)を得た。
機械攪拌機、温度計及び滴下ロートを備えた500mLの四つ口セパラブルフラスコに、実施例1で得られたエチニル(トリメトキシシリル-ビニレン)ジメチルシラン41.6g(0.181モル)、塩化白金酸(H2PtCl6・6H2O)の0.5質量%トルエン溶液0.5g及びトルエン200mLを入れ、H-((CH3)2SiO2/2)30-Si(CH3)3で表される片末端がSi-Hで封鎖されたポリジメチルシロキサン375g(Si-H、0.181モル)を滴下し、その後、85℃で6時間撹拌後、トルエンを留去して、下記に示すオルガノポシシロキサン396g(収率95%)を得た。
以上のように、本発明のビスシラン化合物からなる変性剤は、アルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を1つ有し、かつ、同一分子内にケイ素原子に直接結合したエチニル基を1つ有するため、種々のオルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサンとヒドロシリル化反応することにより、速硬化性を有するアルコキシシリル-ビニレン基を導入することが可能である。
Claims (3)
- 下記一般式(1)で表されるビスシラン化合物からなる変性剤。
- 下記式(2)で表されるジエチニルジオルガノシランに対し、下記式(3)で表されるアルコキシハイドロジェンシランをヒドロシリル化反応により付加する工程を有する請求項1に記載の変性剤の製造方法。
- 下記一般式(1)で表されるビスシラン化合物の、オルガノハイドロジェンポリシロキサンの変性剤としての使用。
