- the surfaces melt and stick together due to frictional heat. If the sliding members adhere to each other, there is a risk that the mechanical device containing the sliding members will malfunction.
- the invention of the present application provides a resin coating to be provided on the sliding surface of a base material constituting a sliding member.
- the resin coating according to the present application contains 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethylpropanamide (MPA), a binder resin, and fluororesin particles, and the particle size of the fluororesin particles is 7 ⁇ m to 25 ⁇ m.
- the resin coating according to the present application is based on the ratio (%) of the total area of fluorine element detection sites in the fluorine element mapping diagram in EDX analysis on the surface of the resin coating that covers the sliding surface of the base material constituting the sliding member. is characterized by being 4% to 8%.
- the resin coating according to the present application uses 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethylpropanamide (MPA) as a solvent and uses a low molecular weight binder resin. Also, it can exhibit strength, durability, and lubricity equivalent to those using a high molecular weight binder resin.
- the resin coating according to the present application contains 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethylpropanamide (MPA), a binder resin, and fluororesin particles.
- MPA is a solvent (a solvent used to dissolve the binder resin) contained in the paint used when forming the resin film.
- MPA is a solvent
- the fluororesin particles function as a solid lubricant, and are used to enhance the lubricity of the resin coating, especially in the case of poor lubrication, and to improve the durability of the resin coating.
- the thickness of the resin coating according to the present application is preferably equal to or larger than the particle size of the fluororesin particles. If the thickness of the resin coating is smaller than the particle size of the fluororesin particles, a portion of the fluororesin particles will be exposed from the surface of the resin coating.
- a resin coating of this embodiment is provided on the sliding surface of a base material constituting a sliding member, and a mechanical device incorporating the same is manufactured and operated, fluororesin particles fall off from the resin coating during operation of the mechanical device. There is a risk that the exposed portion of the fluororesin particles may be scraped off due to friction, and the fluororesin particles may enter the mechanical equipment, causing unexpected problems.
- the thickness of this resin coating is more preferably 10 ⁇ m to 25 ⁇ m. If the thickness of the resin coating is less than 10 ⁇ m, the strength and durability of the resin coating will decrease, causing cracks and chips in the resin coating during operation of the mechanical device, and the sliding of the base material constituting the sliding member. This is not preferable because it tends to peel off from the moving surface. On the other hand, even if the thickness of the resin coating exceeds 25 ⁇ m, the heat dissipation of the sliding member will decrease, and a portion of it will melt due to frictional heat during operation of the mechanical device, causing distortion and deformation on the surface of the resin coating. etc., which tends to prevent the mechanical equipment from operating normally, which is undesirable.
- binder resin is particularly suitable for the type as long as it dissolves in a predetermined amount in 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethylpropanamide (MPA) used as a solvent when preparing the paint used to form the resin film.
- binder resins that can be employed in the invention of this application include thermosetting resins such as polyamide-imide resin (PAI), polyimide resin (PI), phenol resin, and epoxy resin.
- PAI polyamide-imide resin
- PI polyimide resin
- Polyamide-imide resin (PAI) and polyimide resin (PI) have high heat resistance, strength, and durability, and have relatively good processability.
- fluororesin particles There is no particular restriction on the type of fluororesin particles that can be employed in the invention of this application, and examples thereof include polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxyalkane (PFA), ethylenetetrafluoroethylene (ETFE), and the like. Among these, it is preferable to use PTFE, which has excellent heat resistance and abrasion resistance.
- PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene
- PFA perfluoroalkoxyalkane
- ETFE ethylenetetrafluoroethylene
- the preferred particle size of the fluororesin particles is 7 ⁇ m to 25 ⁇ m. If the particle size of the fluororesin particles is less than 7 ⁇ m, it is necessary to use a large amount of fluororesin particles to improve the strength and durability of the resin coating, and handling of the material tends to be difficult, so it is preferable. do not have. On the other hand, even if the particle size of the fluororesin particles exceeds 25 ⁇ m, it is necessary to make the resin coating extremely thick in order to securely fix the fluororesin particles to the sliding surface of the base material that constitutes the sliding member. This is undesirable because the heat dissipation of the sliding member decreases.
- the resin coating according to the present application is based on the ratio (%) of the total area of fluorine element detection sites in the fluorine element mapping diagram in EDX analysis on the surface of the resin coating that covers the sliding surface of the base material constituting the sliding member. need to be between 4% and 8%. More specifically, this "proportion (%) of the total area of fluorine element detection sites" is calculated by, for example, obtaining a distribution image of fluorine element using an SEM-EDX analyzer, and then using image analysis software to obtain the fluorine element distribution image. It can be calculated from the total area of fluorine elements obtained by binarizing the image and the visual field area of the image (1.0 mm x 1.3 mm).
- the proportion (%) of the total area of the fluorine element detection site is less than 4%, the content of fluororesin particles near the surface of the resin coating is too small, which improves the lubricity and durability of the resin coating. This is not preferable because it tends not to be sufficiently effective.
- the proportion (%) of the total area of the fluorine element detection site exceeds 8%, the content of binder resin in the vicinity of the surface of the resin coating decreases, and the binder resin binds the fluorine resin particles to the resin coating. This is not preferable because the strength and durability of the resin coating tends to decrease as the fluororesin particles tend to partially fall off from the resin coating due to the weakening of the holding force inside the resin coating.
- the content of the fluororesin particles is preferably 15% by mass to 25% by mass. If the content of the fluororesin particles is less than 15% by mass, it is not preferable because the effect of improving the strength and durability of the resin coating tends not to be obtained. On the other hand, even if the content of the fluororesin particles exceeds 25% by mass, the content of the binder resin decreases relatively, and the adhesion of the resin coating to the sliding surface of the base material constituting the sliding member decreases. This is not desirable as it tends to be
- the resin coating according to the present application further contains a lubricant such as graphite or molybdenum disulfide.
- a lubricant such as graphite or molybdenum disulfide.
- the content of graphite is preferably 1% by mass to 10% by mass. If the content of graphite is less than 1% by mass, it is not preferable because effects such as lowering the coefficient of friction and improving wear resistance of the resin coating tend not to be obtained. On the other hand, even if the content of graphite is 10% by mass or more, the effect of lowering the friction coefficient of the resin coating and improving the wear resistance will not be increased, and it will simply be a waste of resources, which is not preferable.
- the components and structure of the resin coating have been explained above. Next, a method for forming this resin film will be briefly explained.
- the resin coating according to the present application is for preventing adhesion of sliding members. Therefore, in order to make the invention of the present application easier to understand, the method for forming the resin film of the present application will be explained with the film forming object being the sliding surface of a base material constituting a sliding member. .
- the film forming object being the sliding surface of a base material constituting a sliding member.
- MPA 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethylpropanamide
- a binder resin, fluororesin particles, and additives such as graphite are brought into contact with each other. Then, stir using a stirrer or the like to prepare a coating material for sliding parts.
- the binder resin mentioned above may be in the form of a resin varnish in which a predetermined amount of the binder resin is dissolved in 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethylpropanamide (MPA) in advance.
- MPA 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethylpropanamide

Description

<潤滑剤>
