Description

制御装置、電子機器および制御方法
 本開示は、制御装置、電子機器および制御方法に関する。
 直流電力で充電されるコンデンサを備える電子機器には、コンデンサの過電圧を抑制するために、コンデンサを放電する電力消費回路と、電力消費回路を制御する制御部と、を備えるものがある。この種の電子機器の一例が特許文献1に開示されている。
 電子機器の一例として特許文献1に開示される電気車駆動装置は、電力消費回路として、直列に接続されたスイッチング素子および抵抗を有する。電気車駆動装置が備える電気車制御装置がスイッチング素子をオンにすると、コンデンサと抵抗が電気的に接続され、コンデンサが放電される。電気車制御装置は、コンデンサの電圧値に対応付けられた通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけスイッチング素子をオンにする。この結果、コンデンサに印加される電圧の値が目標電圧範囲内に維持される。

 上述の電子機器が備える制御部には、抵抗での消費電力量、抵抗の温度等を推定するために、スイッチング素子と抵抗とを電気的に接続する導体に流れる電流の値を測定する機能を有するものがある。導体に取り付けられる電流センサは、導体に流れる直流電流を測定し、アナログデータであるセンサ信号を出力する。制御部は、電流センサが出力するセンサ信号の値をサンプリング周期ごとに検出することで生成されるデジタルデータから導体に流れる電流の値を測定する。しかしながら、スイッチング素子の通流率が低い場合、スイッチング素子がオンになっている期間に、サンプリング周期ごとの検出タイミングが含まれないことがある。この場合、導体に流れる電流の値を正確に測定することができない。
 本開示は上述の事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、導体に流れる電流の値を精度よく測定可能な制御装置、電子機器、および制御方法を提供することを目的とする。
 上記目的を達成するために、本開示の制御装置は、導体に接続され、スイッチング動作によって導体の導通状態と非導通状態とを切り替えるスイッチング素子を制御する制御装置であって、素子制御部と、電流値測定部と、を備える。素子制御部は、スイッチング周期に対するスイッチング素子がオンとなる時間の比率を表す通流率の目標値を示す目標通流率が1未満の正数である場合に、少なくとも1回のスイッチング周期において目標通流率より高い1以下の値である検出用通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけスイッチング素子をオンにする。電流値測定部は、導体に流れる直流電流の値を測定する電流センサが出力するアナログデータである電流センサ信号をスイッチング周期とは独立したサンプリング周期ごとに検出することで生成されたデジタルデータである電流検出値から導体に流れる直流電流の値を測定する。
 本開示の制御装置は、目標通流率が1未満の正数である場合に、少なくとも1回のスイッチング周期において目標通流率より高い1以下の値である検出用通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけスイッチング素子をオンにする。この結果、スイッチング素子がオンになっている期間が長くなり、スイッチング素子がオンになっているタイミングで電流センサ信号が検出されると、導体に流れる直流電流の値を精度よく測定することが可能となる。

 以下、本開示の実施の形態に係る制御装置、電子機器、および制御方法について図面を参照して詳細に説明する。なお図中、同一または同等の部分には同一の符号を付す。
 電子機器の一例として、鉄道車両に搭載され、電源から供給される直流電力を三相交流電力に変換して負荷機器に供給する直流-三相変換装置がある。鉄道車両に搭載される直流-三相変換装置を例にして、実施の形態1に係る電子機器1について説明する。実施の形態1では、図1に示す電子機器1は、直流き電方式の鉄道車両に搭載されている。電子機器1から三相交流電力の供給を受ける電動機91は、三相交流電力の供給を受けて駆動されて鉄道車両の推進力を生じさせる三相誘導電動機である。詳細には、電動機91は、駆動されると、継手および歯車等を介して鉄道車両の車軸に動力を与える。
 電子機器1は、電源に接続される入力端子1aと、接地される入力端子1bと、を備える。電子機器1はさらに、電源から供給された直流電力を三相交流電力に変換し、三相交流電力を電動機91に供給し、または、発電機として動作する電動機91から供給される三相交流電力を直流電力に変換し、直流電力を出力する電力変換回路11と、電力変換回路11を制御する電力変換回路制御部12と、を備える。
 電子機器1はさらに、電力変換回路11の入力端子1a,1bに接続される一対の一次端子の間に接続されるコンデンサC1と、コンデンサC1から供給される電力を消費する電力消費回路13と、電力消費回路13を制御する制御装置14と、を備える。電子機器1はさらに、コンデンサC1に並列に接続され、コンデンサC1に印加される電圧の値を測定する電圧センサVT1と、電力消費回路13に流れる電流の値を測定する電流センサCT1と、電圧センサVT1および電流センサCT1の測定値をデジタルデータに変換する信号処理回路15と、を備える。
 入力端子1aは、図示しない接触器、リアクトル等を介して、電源、具体的には、変電所から電力供給線を介して供給される電力を取得する集電装置に電気的に接続される。例えば、集電装置は、電力供給線の一例である架線を介して電力を取得するパンタグラフ、または、電力供給線の一例である第三軌条を介して電力を取得する集電靴等である。入力端子1bは、図示しない接地リング、接地ブラシ、車輪等を介して接地される。
 電力変換回路11は、例えば、出力される交流電力の実効電圧と周波数とが可変であるインバータで形成される。電力変換回路11は、複数のスイッチング素子を有し、各スイッチング素子のスイッチング動作は、電力変換回路制御部12によって制御される。各スイッチング素子は、例えば、IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor:絶縁ゲート型バイポーラトランジスタ)で形成される。
 電力変換回路制御部12は、図示しない運転台から運転指令S1を取得する。運転指令S1は、運転台に設けられたマスターコントローラに対する運転員の操作に応じた指令を示す。具体的には、運転指令S1は、力行指令、ブレーキ指令、および惰行指令のいずれかを示す。電力変換回路制御部12は、運転指令S1に応じて電力変換回路11の各スイッチング素子を制御する電力変換制御信号S2を生成し、出力する。電力変換制御信号S2は、例えば、PWM(Pulse Width Modulation:パルス幅変調)信号である。
 コンデンサC1の一端は、入力端子1aと電力変換回路11の一方の一次端子との接続点に接続される。コンデンサC1の他端は、入力端子1bと電力変換回路11の他方の一次端子との接続点に接続される。コンデンサC1は、電源から供給される直流電力または電力変換回路11が出力する直流電力で充電される。
 コンデンサC1に並列に電圧センサVT1が設けられる。電圧センサVT1は、例えば、VT(Voltage Transformer:計器用変圧器)で形成される。電圧センサVT1は、コンデンサC1に印加される電圧の値を測定し、アナログデータである測定値を示す電圧センサ信号を出力する。
 電力消費回路13は、コンデンサC1に並列に接続される。電力消費回路13は、直列に接続されたスイッチング素子SW1および抵抗R1を有する。スイッチング素子SW1は、例えば、IGBTで形成される。スイッチング素子SW1は、スイッチング素子SW1に電気的に接続される導体、例えば、スイッチング素子SW1のエミッタ端子と抵抗R1とを電気的に接続する導体20の導通状態と非導通状態とを切り替える。具体的には、スイッチング素子SW1がオンになると導体20が導通状態となり、スイッチング素子SW1がオフになると導体20が非導通状態となる。
 上述のスイッチング動作によって、スイッチング素子SW1がオンになると、コンデンサC1が抵抗R1に電気的に接続され、コンデンサC1から供給される電力が抵抗R1で消費される。この結果、コンデンサC1が放電され、コンデンサC1に印可される電圧の値が減少する。スイッチング素子SW1がオフになると、コンデンサC1と抵抗R1とは電気的に切り離される。
 電力消費回路13に設けられる電流センサCT1は、例えば、スイッチング素子SW1と抵抗R1とを電気的に接続するバスバーである導体20に取り付けられるCT(Current Transformer:変流器)を有する。電流センサCT1は、導体20に流れる電流の値を測定し、アナログデータである測定値を示す電流センサ信号を出力する。
 信号処理回路15は、電圧センサVT1が出力する電圧センサ信号および電流センサCT1が出力する電流センサ信号をサンプリング周期ごとにサンプリングし、検出値を示すデジタルデータを出力する。詳細には、信号処理回路15は、電圧センサVT1が出力する電圧センサ信号が示す測定値をサンプリング周期ごとに検出し、コンデンサC1に印加される電圧の値を示すデジタルデータである電圧検出値V1を生成し、電力変換回路制御部12および制御装置14に出力する。信号処理回路15は、電流センサCT1が出力する電流センサ信号が示す測定値をサンプリング周期ごとに検出し、導体20に流れる直流電流の値を示すデジタルデータである電流検出値I1を生成し、制御装置14に出力する。
 制御装置14は、スイッチング素子SW1の通流率の目標値を示す目標通流率を決定する通流率決定部21と、目標通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけスイッチング素子SW1をオンにする電力消費制御信号S3を生成する素子制御部22と、電流検出値I1から導体20に流れる電流の値を測定する電流値測定部23と、を備える。
 制御装置14の各部について以下に説明する。
 通流率決定部21は、運転台から運転指令S1を取得する。通流率決定部21は、運転指令S1がブレーキ指令を含む場合に、コンデンサC1に印加される電圧の値に応じて目標通流率を決定し、出力する。スイッチング素子SW1の通流率は、0以上かつ1以下の値であって、スイッチング素子SW1のスイッチング周期に対するスイッチング素子SW1がオンとなる時間の比率を表す。
 素子制御部22は、通流率決定部21から目標通流率を取得し、目標通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけスイッチング素子SW1をオンにする。具体的には、素子制御部22は、図示しない発振器から出力される基準信号に基づき、基準信号の周期によって決定されるスイッチング周期の内、目標通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけオンになるPWM信号である電力消費制御信号S3を生成する。オン時間は、スイッチング周期に目標通流率を乗算して得られる値である。そして、素子制御部22は、スイッチング素子SW1に電力消費制御信号S3を出力する。
 素子制御部22は、目標通流率が1未満の正数である場合に、少なくとも1回のスイッチング周期において目標通流率より高い1以下の値である検出用通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけオンになる電力消費制御信号S3を生成する。例えば、素子制御部22は、検出用通流率として、目標通流率に1以上の係数を乗算して得られる値および1の内、低い値を用いる。
 電流値測定部23は、電流検出値I1から、導体20に流れる電流の値を測定する。詳細には、電流値測定部23は、電流検出値I1に、電流センサCT1が有するCTの巻線比を乗算し、乗算結果を導体20に流れる電流の測定値とする。そして、電流値測定部23は、測定した導体20に流れる電流の値を、例えば、導体20に流れる電流の値が過電流であるか否かを監視する監視装置、例えば、列車情報管理システムに出力する。
 上記構成を有する制御装置14は、図2に示すように、処理回路71で実現される。処理回路71は、インターフェース回路72を介して、信号処理回路15、図2に示さない運転台、電力消費回路13のスイッチング素子SW1等に接続される。処理回路71が専用のハードウェアである場合、処理回路71は、例えば、単一回路、複合回路、プロセッサ、ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit)、FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)、またはこれらを組み合わせたものである。制御装置14の各部が個別の処理回路71で実現されてもよいし、制御装置14の各部は共通の処理回路71で実現されてもよい。
 上記構成を有する電子機器1の動作について以下に説明する。
 運転指令S1が力行指令を含む場合、図1に示す電子機器1は、入力端子1a,1bを介して供給される直流電力を三相交流電力に変換し、三相交流電力を電動機91に供給する。電動機91は、三相交流電力の供給を受けて駆動され、鉄道車両の推進力を生じさせる。
 詳細には、運転指令S1が力行指令を含む場合、電力変換回路制御部12は図示しない電流センサで測定された電動機91に流れる相電流の値を取得し、力行指令が示す鉄道車両の加速度の目標値および相電流の値に応じて、電動機91のトルクの目標値である目標トルクを決定する。そして、電力変換回路制御部12は、目標トルクを得るための電力変換回路11の出力電圧の目標値を示す電圧指令値を決定する。そして、電力変換回路制御部12は、電圧指令値に応じて電力変換回路11が有する各スイッチング素子のスイッチング動作を制御する電力変換制御信号S2を生成し、出力する。
 電力変換制御信号S2が電力変換回路11の各スイッチング素子のゲート信号に供給されると、各スイッチング素子がスイッチング動作を行う。この結果、電力変換回路11は、直流電力を三相交流電力に変換し、三相交流電力を電動機91に供給する。
 運転指令S1がブレーキ指令を含む場合、発電機として動作する電動機91は、三相交流電力を電子機器1に供給する。電子機器1は、電動機91から供給される三相交流電力を直流電力に変換し、集電装置および電力供給線を介して、電子機器1が搭載されている鉄道車両の近隣を走行している他の鉄道車両に直流電力を供給する。電動機91で生じた三相交流電力を他の鉄道車両に供給して消費することで、鉄道車両を減速させる回生ブレーキ力が生じる。
 詳細には、運転指令S1がブレーキ指令を含む場合、電力変換回路制御部12は、信号処理回路15から電圧検出値V1を取得し、図示しない電流センサで測定された電動機91から電力変換回路11に流れる相電流の値を取得する。そして、電力変換回路制御部12は、電圧検出値V1および電動機91から電力変換回路11に流れる相電流の値に応じて、電力変換回路11の出力電圧の目標値を示す電圧指令値を決定する。
 電力変換回路11の出力電圧の目標値は、例えば、架線電圧より高い電圧範囲であって、回生ブレーキが利用可能となる電圧の範囲を示す目標電圧範囲に含まれる値である。そして、電力変換回路制御部12は、電圧指令値に応じて電力変換回路11が有する各スイッチング素子のスイッチング動作を制御する電力変換制御信号S2を生成し、出力する。
 電力変換制御信号S2が電力変換回路11の各スイッチング素子のゲート信号に供給されると、各スイッチング素子がスイッチング動作を行う。この結果、電力変換回路11は、電動機91から供給される三相交流電力を直流電力に変換し、直流電力でコンデンサC1を充電する。
 電子機器1が搭載されている鉄道車両の近隣に加速中の他の鉄道車両が位置していれば、上述のように、電動機91で生じた電力が他の鉄道車両に供給されて消費され、鉄道車両を減速させる回生ブレーキ力が生じる。
 電子機器1が搭載されている鉄道車両の近隣に加速中の他の鉄道車両が位置していない場合、電動機91で生じた電力が消費されないため、回生ブレーキ力が生じない。電動機91で生じた電力が消費されない場合、コンデンサC1の電圧値が上昇する。そこで、制御装置14は、電力消費回路13によってコンデンサC1を介して電動機91から供給される電力を消費させる。この結果、発電ブレーキ力が生じる。制御装置14は、電力消費回路13によって電力が消費されている間に、導体20に流れる電流の値を測定する。制御装置14が行う上記の動作について、図3を用いて説明する。
 制御装置14は、運転指令S1を取得すると、図3に示す動作を開始する。運転指令S1がブレーキ指令を含まない場合は(ステップS11;No)、ステップS11の処理が繰り返される。運転指令S1がブレーキ指令を含む場合(ステップS11;Yes)、通流率決定部21は、電圧検出値V1に応じて、スイッチング素子SW1の通流率の目標値を示す目標通流率を決定する(ステップS12)。
 詳細には、通流率決定部21は、例えば、図4に示すように、予め定められた電圧検出値V1と目標通流率との関係から、目標通流率を決定する。例えば、通流率決定部21は、電圧検出値V1が閾値電圧値Vth1以下である場合、目標通流率を0に設定する。通流率決定部21は、電圧検出値V1が閾値電圧値Vth1より大きく、電圧値Vth2未満である場合、目標通流率を、電圧検出値V1に対して正の相関関係を有した状態で、電圧検出値V1の変化に応じて線形的に増加させる。閾値電圧値Vth1は、コンデンサC1の放電が必要となる場合のコンデンサC1の電圧値である。例えば、電圧検出値V1=Vaである場合、通流率決定部21は、目標通流率をα1とする。通流率決定部21は、電圧検出値V1が電圧値Vth2以上になると、目標通流率を1に設定する。そして、通流率決定部21は、上述のように決定した目標通流率を素子制御部22に送る。
 目標通流率が1未満の正数でない場合(図3ステップS13;No)、換言すれば、目標通流率が0または1である場合、素子制御部22は、ステップS12で決定された目標通流率に基づく電力消費制御信号S3を生成し、出力する(ステップS14)。詳細には、素子制御部22は、目標通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけオンになる電力消費制御信号S3を出力する。この結果、スイッチング素子SW1は、各スイッチング周期において、目標通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけオンになる。
 目標通流率が1未満の正数である場合(ステップS13;Yes)、素子制御部22は、少なくとも1回のスイッチング周期において目標通流率より高い1以下の値である検出用通流率に基づく電力消費制御信号S3を生成し、出力する(ステップS15)。詳細には、素子制御部22は、少なくとも1回のスイッチング周期において検出用通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけオンになる電力消費制御信号S3を出力する。この結果、スイッチング素子SW1は、少なくとも1回のスイッチング周期において、検出用通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけオンになる。換言すれば、少なくとも1回のスイッチング周期において、スイッチング素子SW1のオン時間は、目標通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間より長くなる。
 ステップS14,S15の後、電流値測定部23は、電流検出値I1に応じて導体20に流れる電流の値を測定する(ステップS16)。その後、ステップS11から上述の処理が繰り返される。
 ステップS13-S16の処理の詳細について図5を用いて説明する。電圧検出値V1が閾値電圧値Vth1より高い電圧値Vaになる時刻をT1とする。例えば、時刻T1から、導体20に流れる電流の値を測定するための測定期間が開始され、測定期間は時刻T2において終了するものとする。図示しないが、測定期間は、時刻T2以降も繰り返される。測定期間は、複数のスイッチング周期を含むものとする。電圧検出値V1がVaである場合の通流率を図4に示すようにα1とする。図5に示す時刻T1において、通流率決定部21は目標通流率をα1に設定する。
 図5(A)に示すように、素子制御部22は、測定期間の最初のスイッチング周期において目標通流率α1より高い検出用通流率α2に応じた時間だけオンになり、後続のスイッチング周期において目標通流率α1に応じた時間だけオンになる電力消費制御信号S3を生成する。具体的には、スイッチング周期をτ1とすると、最初のスイッチング周期において、電力消費制御信号S3が示すオン時間は検出用通流率α2にスイッチング周期τ1を乗算して得られる値α2・τ1となる。後続のスイッチング周期において、電力消費制御信号S3が示すオン時間は目標通流率α1にスイッチング周期τ1を乗算して得られる値α1・τ1となる。
 電力消費制御信号S3がスイッチング素子SW1のゲート端子に供給されると、スイッチング素子SW1がスイッチング動作を行う。具体的には、電力消費制御信号S3がオンを示すと、スイッチング素子SW1がオンになる。スイッチング素子SW1がオンになると、抵抗R1がコンデンサC1に電気的に接続され、導体20および抵抗R1に電流が流れる。電力消費制御信号S3がオフを示すと、スイッチング素子SW1はオフとなる。スイッチング素子SW1がオフになると、抵抗R1とコンデンサC1とは電気的に切り離され、導体20および抵抗R1に電流は流れない。
 図5(A)に示す電力消費制御信号S3に従ってスイッチング素子SW1がスイッチング動作を行うと、図5(B)に示すように、導体20および抵抗R1に直流電流が流れる。図5(B)は、導体20に流れる実電流の例を示す。例えば、スイッチング素子SW1がオンの場合に、導体20に流れる電流の値をIaとする。
 信号処理回路15が電流センサ信号が示す測定値を検出する周期であるサンプリング周期τ2は、スイッチング周期とは独立したクロックに基づいて決定される。図5(C)に示すように、測定期間に含まれる最初のスイッチング周期において、検出用通流率α2にスイッチング周期τ1を乗算して得られる値α2・τ1で表されるスイッチング素子SW1がオンになる期間に、サンプリング周期τ2ごとの検出タイミングであるサンプリングタイミングが含まれる。
 この結果、図5(D)に示すように、信号処理回路15は、導体20を流れる電流の検出値である電流検出値I1として、電流値Iaを出力する。
 スイッチング素子SW1がオフになると、導体20に流れる電流の値は徐々に減少する。図5(C)に示す6番目のサンプリングタイミングは、図5(A)に示すオン時間に含まれていないが、6番目のサンプリングタイミングにおいて、上述のように徐々に減少している導体20に流れる電流の値が検出される。詳細には、図5(C)に示す6番目のサンプリングタイミングにおいて、信号処理回路15は、導体20を流れる電流の検出値である電流検出値I1として、図5(D)に示すように、電流値Iaより小さい電流値Ia’を出力する。
 電流値測定部23は、測定期間における電流検出値I1の最大値から、導体20に流れる電流の値を測定する。図5(D)に示すように、電流検出値I1の最大値は電流値Iaである。このため、電流値測定部23は、電流値Iaに電流センサCT1が有するCTの巻線比を乗算した結果を導体20に流れる電流の値として出力する。時刻T2以降も、コンデンサC1の電圧、すなわち、電圧検出値V1が閾値電圧値Vth1より高い間は、測定期間が繰り返され、上述の処理が繰り返される。
 以上説明した通り、実施の形態に係る制御装置によれば、目標通流率が1未満の正数である場合に、少なくとも1回のスイッチング周期において目標通流率より高い1以下の値である検出用通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけスイッチング素子SW1をオンにする。この結果、スイッチング素子SW1がオンになる期間が目標通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間より長くなる。これにより、スイッチング素子SW1がオンになっているタイミングで電流センサCT1が出力する電流センサ信号が検出されると、導体20に流れる電流の値を精度よく測定することが可能となる。
 本開示の実施の形態は、上述の例に限られない。実施の形態に係る制御装置14は、測定した電流の値を外部の監視装置に出力しているが、制御装置14は、測定した電流の値に応じてスイッチング素子SW1を制御してもよい。一例として、図6に示す電子機器1は、抵抗R1の温度を推定する制御装置16を備える。制御装置16は、制御装置14の構成に加えて、電流値測定部23で測定された電流の値から抵抗R1の温度を推定する温度推定部24をさらに備える。制御装置16のハードウェア構成は、制御装置14と同様である。
 温度推定部24は、信号処理回路15から電圧検出値V1を取得し、電流値測定部23から測定された電流の値を取得する。上述の取得値に応じて、温度推定部24は、抵抗R1の温度を推定する。温度推定部24は、抵抗R1の温度の推定値を素子制御部22に送る。
 具体的には、温度推定部24は、下記(1)式に基づいて、抵抗R1の温度を推定する。下記(1)式において、T1は抵抗R1の温度を示し、T0は抵抗R1に電流が流れていない場合の抵抗R1の温度である初期温度を示し、ΔTは、電流が流れることによる抵抗R1の温度上昇値であって、下記(2)式で表される。下記(2)式において、kは定められた温度係数を示し、V1は電圧検出値を示し、Idは電流値測定部23で測定された電流の値を示す。温度推定部24は、予め定められた温度上昇曲線によって決定される消費電力量に対する抵抗R1の温度上昇量を示す温度係数kおよび初期温度T0についての情報を予め保持している。

 素子制御部22は、温度推定部24から取得した抵抗R1の温度の推定値が閾値温度以上となると、通流率決定部21で決定された目標通流率より低い通流率でスイッチング素子SW1を制御する。例えば、素子制御部22は、温度推定部24から取得した抵抗R1の温度の推定値が閾値温度以上となると、目標通流率を0として、電力消費制御信号S3を生成し、出力する。
 閾値温度は、抵抗R1を形成する素子が耐え得る温度範囲に応じて定められればよい。例えば、閾値温度は、抵抗R1を形成する素子が耐え得る温度の上限値に0.8を乗算した値とすればよい。上述のように素子制御部22がスイッチング素子SW1を制御することで、抵抗R1の温度が過度に上昇することが抑制される。
 他の一例として、図7に示す電子機器1は、抵抗R1の消費電力量を推定する制御装置17を備える。制御装置17は、制御装置14の構成に加えて、電流値測定部23で測定された電流の値から抵抗R1における消費電力量を推定する消費電力量推定部25をさらに備える。制御装置17のハードウェア構成は、制御装置14と同様である。
 消費電力量推定部25は、信号処理回路15から電圧検出値V1を取得し、電流値測定部23から測定された電流の値を取得し、素子制御部22からスイッチング素子SW1がオンとなっている時間を取得する。上述の取得値に応じて、消費電力量推定部25は、測定期間における抵抗R1の消費電力量を推定する。そして、消費電力量推定部25は、推定した消費電力量を素子制御部22に送る。
 具体的には、消費電力量推定部25は、下記(3)式に基づいて、測定期間における抵抗R1の消費電力量を算出する。下記(3)式において、W1は抵抗R1の消費電力を示し、V1は電圧検出値を示し、Idは電流値測定部23で測定された電流の値を示し、t1は、測定期間におけるオン時間の合計を示す。

 素子制御部22は、消費電力量推定部25から取得した抵抗R1の消費電力量が閾値電力量以上となると、通流率決定部21で決定された目標通流率より低い通流率でスイッチング素子SW1を制御する。例えば、素子制御部22は、消費電力量推定部25から取得した抵抗R1の消費電力量が閾値電力量以上となると、目標通流率を0として、目標通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけオンになる電力消費制御信号S3を生成し、出力する。
 上記(2)式に示すように、抵抗R1の温度は、電圧検出値V1と電流値測定部23で測定された電流の値Idとの乗算結果に比例して上昇する。換言すれば、抵抗R1の温度は、消費電力量に比例して上昇するため、閾値電力量は、抵抗R1を形成する素子が耐え得る温度範囲に応じて定められればよい。例えば、閾値電力量は、抵抗R1を形成する素子が耐え得る温度上昇量を温度係数kで除算した値に0.8を乗算した値とすればよい。上述のように素子制御部22がスイッチング素子SW1を制御することで、抵抗R1の消費電力量が増大し、抵抗R1の温度が過度に上昇することが抑制される。
 上述の例では、消費電力量推定部25は、測定期間における抵抗R1の消費電力量を推定するが、消費電力量推定部25は、測定期間と異なる期間における抵抗R1の消費電力量を推定してもよい。例えば、消費電力量推定部25は、測定期間を含む期間であって、消費電力量を推定するための期間である推定期間において、抵抗R1の消費電力量を推定してもよい。
 他の一例として、図8に示す電子機器1は、抵抗R1の温度を推定し、抵抗R1における消費電力量を推定する制御装置18を備える。制御装置18は、上述の温度推定部24および消費電力量推定部25を両方とも備える。制御装置18のハードウェア構成は、制御装置14と同様である。素子制御部22は、温度推定部24から取得した抵抗R1の温度の推定値が閾値温度以上となる場合、または、消費電力量推定部25から取得した消費電力量が閾値電力量以上となる場合に、通流率決定部21で決定された目標通流率より低い通流率でスイッチング素子SW1を制御する。詳細には、素子制御部22は、抵抗R1の温度の推定値が閾値温度以上となる場合、または、消費電力量の推定値が閾値電力量以上となる場合に、目標通流率より低い通流率とスイッチング周期とにより定まるオン時間だけオンになる電力消費制御信号S3を生成し、出力する。
 通流率決定部21は、制御装置14,16-18とは独立した装置として設けられてもよい。この場合、制御装置14,16-18は、通流率決定部21から取得した目標通流率に応じて上述の制御を行えばよい。
 素子制御部22によるスイッチング素子SW1の通流率の調節は上述の例に限られない。一例として、図9に示すように、素子制御部22は、連続するスイッチング周期のそれぞれにおいて、検出用通流率に応じてスイッチング素子SW1を制御してもよい。図9の見方は、図5と同様である。
 図9(A)に示すように、素子制御部22は、測定期間に含まれる連続する複数のスイッチング周期、具体的には、連続する3つのスイッチング周期において目標通流率α1より高い検出用通流率α3とスイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけオンになり、後続のスイッチング周期において目標通流率α1とスイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけオンになる電力消費制御信号S3を生成する。例えば、スイッチング周期をτ1とすると、連続する3つのスイッチング周期において、電力消費制御信号S3が示すオン時間は、検出用通流率α3にスイッチング周期τ1を乗算して得られる値α3・τ1となる。後続のスイッチング周期において、電力消費制御信号S3が示すオン時間は、目標通流率α1にスイッチング周期τ1を乗算して得られる値α1・τ1となる。
 図9(A)に示す電力消費制御信号S3がスイッチング素子SW1のゲート端子に供給されると、スイッチング素子SW1がスイッチング動作を行う。この結果、図9(B)に示すように、導体20および抵抗R1に直流電流が流れる。図9(B)は、導体20に流れる実電流の例を示す。例えば、スイッチング素子SW1がオンの場合に、導体20に流れる電流の値をIaとする。
 図9(C)に示すように、サンプリング周期τ2は、スイッチング周期とは独立したクロックに基づいて決定される。測定期間に含まれる複数のスイッチング周期において、検出用通流率α3にスイッチング周期τ1を乗算して得られる値α3・τ1の時間だけスイッチング素子SW1がオンになる複数のスイッチング周期の内、3番目のスイッチング周期においては、スイッチング素子SW1がオンになる期間にサンプリング周期ごとの検出タイミングであるサンプリングタイミングが含まれる。
 この結果、図9(D)に示すように、信号処理回路15は、導体20を流れる電流の検出値である電流検出値I1として、電流値Iaを出力する。
 電流値測定部23は、測定期間における電流検出値I1の最大値に応じて、導体20に流れる電流の値を測定する。図9(D)に示すように、測定期間における電流検出値I1の最大値は電流値Iaである。このため、電流値測定部23は、電流値Iaに電流センサCT1を形成するCTの巻線比を乗算した結果を導体20に流れる電流の値として出力する。
 他の一例として、図10に示すように、素子制御部22は、互いに間隔が空いている複数のスイッチング周期のそれぞれにおいて、検出用通流率に応じてスイッチング素子SW1を制御してもよい。図10の見方は、図5と同様である。
 図10(A)に示すように、素子制御部22は、測定期間に含まれる互いに間隔が空いている複数のスイッチング周期、具体的には、最初のスイッチング周期および3番目のスイッチング周期において目標通流率α1より高い検出用通流率α4とスイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけオンになり、その他のスイッチング周期において目標通流率α1とスイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけオンになる電力消費制御信号S3を生成する。例えば、スイッチング周期をτ1とすると、最初のスイッチング周期および3番目のスイッチング周期において、電力消費制御信号S3が示すオン時間は、検出用通流率α4にスイッチング周期τ1を乗算して得られる値α4・τ1となる。その他のスイッチング周期において、電力消費制御信号S3が示すオン時間は、目標通流率α1にスイッチング周期τ1を乗算して得られる値α1・τ1となる。
 図10(A)に示す電力消費制御信号S3がスイッチング素子SW1のゲート端子に供給されると、スイッチング素子SW1がスイッチング動作を行う。この結果、図10(B)に示すように、導体20に電流が流れる。図10(B)は導体20に流れる実電流の例を示す。例えば、スイッチング素子SW1がオンの場合に、導体20に流れる電流の値をIaとする。
 図10(C)に示すように、サンプリング周期τ2は、スイッチング周期とは独立したクロックに基づいて決定される。検出用通流率α4にスイッチング周期τ1を乗算して得られる値α4・τ1の時間だけスイッチング素子SW1がオンになる複数のスイッチング周期の内、3番目のスイッチング周期においては、スイッチング素子SW1がオンになる期間にサンプリング周期ごとの検出タイミングであるサンプリングタイミングが含まれる。
 この結果、図10(D)に示すように、信号処理回路15は、導体20を流れる電流の検出値である電流検出値I1として、電流値Iaを出力する。
 電流値測定部23は、測定期間における電流検出値I1の最大値に応じて、導体20に流れる電流の値を測定する。図10(D)に示すように、測定値における電流検出値I1の最大値は電流値Iaである。このため、電流値測定部23は、電流値Iaに電流センサCT1を形成するCTの巻線比を乗算した結果を導体20に流れる電流の値として出力する。
 素子制御部22は、目標通流率が閾値通流率以下の場合にのみ、上述のように通流率を調節してもよい。具体的には、素子制御部22は、目標通流率が閾値通流率より高い場合は、目標通流率に基づく電力消費制御信号S3を生成し、目標通流率が閾値通流率以下である場合は、検出用通流率に基づく電力消費制御信号S3を生成してもよい。閾値通流率は、スイッチング周期およびサンプリング周期に応じて定められればよい。
 例えば、サンプリング周期がスイッチング周期より長い場合、スイッチング素子SW1のオン時間がサンプリング周期の1/2になる場合のスイッチング素子SW1の通流率を閾値通流率としてもよい。この場合、素子制御部22は、閾値通流率より高い固定値を検出用通流率として用いてもよい。
 例えば、サンプリング周期がスイッチング周期以下の長さである場合、素子制御部22は、スイッチング素子SW1のオン時間がサンプリング周期に一致する場合のスイッチング素子SW1の通流率を閾値通流率として用いてもよい。この場合、素子制御部22は、閾値通流率と同じ値を検出用通流率として用いてもよい。換言すれば、この場合の検出用通流率は、スイッチング素子SW1のオン時間がサンプリング周期に一致する場合のスイッチング素子SW1の通流率に一致する。
 上記のハードウェア構成およびフローチャートは一例であり、任意に変更および修正が可能である。
 制御装置14,16,17,18の機能は、ソフトウェアで実現されてもよい。図11に示す制御装置14,16,17,18は、プロセッサ81と、メモリ82と、インターフェース83と、を備える。プロセッサ81、メモリ82、およびインターフェース83は互いにバス80で接続されている。
 制御装置14,16,17,18の機能は、ソフトウェア、ファームウェア、またはソフトウェアとファームウェアとの組み合わせにより実現される。ソフトウェアおよびファームウェアはプログラムとして記述され、メモリ82に格納される。プロセッサ81が、メモリ82に記憶されたプログラムを読み出して実行することにより、上述の各部の機能が実現される。すなわち、メモリ82には、制御装置14,16,17,18の処理を実行するためのプログラムが格納される。
 メモリ82は、例えば、RAM(Random Access Memory)、ROM(Read-Only Memory)、フラッシュメモリ、EPROM(Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)、EEPROM(Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read-Only Memory)等の不揮発性または揮発性の半導体メモリ、磁気ディスク、フレキシブルディスク、光ディスク、コンパクトディスク、ミニディスク、DVD(Digital Versatile Disc)等を含む。
 制御装置14,16,17,18の各機能の一部が専用のハードウェアで実現され、他の一部がソフトウェアまたはファームウェアで実現されてもよい。例えば、制御装置14の場合、素子制御部22は図2に示す処理回路71で実現され、通流率決定部21および電流値測定部23は図11に示すプロセッサ81がメモリ82に格納されたプログラムを読み出して実行することで実現されてもよい。
 制御装置14,16,17,18による電流値の測定対象は、上述の例に限られず、スイッチング素子のスイッチング動作によって導通状態と非導通状態とが切り替わる任意の導体であればよい。
 電力変換回路11は、上述の例に限られず、例えば、DC(Direct Current)-DCコンバータでもよいし、3レベルインバータでもよい。
 コンデンサC1は、複数のコンデンサで形成されるコンデンサユニットでもよい。この場合、通流率決定部21は、コンデンサユニットの端子間の電圧に応じて、目標通流率を決定すればよい。
 電力消費回路13の構成は、上述の例に限られない。電力消費回路13は、複数の抵抗R1と、それぞれが対応する抵抗に接続される複数のスイッチング素子SW1と、を有してもよい。この場合、素子制御部22は、電力消費回路13が有する各スイッチング素子SW1に電力消費制御信号S3を供給する。例えば、電力消費回路13が有する複数の抵抗R1のいずれかの温度の推定値が閾値温度より高い場合、素子制御部22は、温度の推定値が閾値温度より高い抵抗R1に接続されるスイッチング素子SW1をオフにし、他の抵抗R1に接続されているスイッチング素子SW1をオンにしてもよい。
 電子機器1は、電力変換装置に限られず、コンデンサC1と電力消費回路13とを備える任意の電子機器である。
 電子機器1が搭載される鉄道車両は、電気ブレーキ力として、回生ブレーキ力を用いずに、発電ブレーキ力のみを用いてもよい。
 電子機器1は、直流き電方式の鉄道車両に限られず、交流き電方式の鉄道車両に搭載されてもよい。この場合、電子機器1は、集電装置から、変圧器およびコンバータを介して供給される直流電力を三相交流電力に変換し、三相交流電力を電動機91に供給すればよい。
 電子機器1は、鉄道車両に限られず、自動車、船舶、飛行機等の移動体に搭載されてもよい。あるいは、電子機器1は、屋内または屋外に設置されてもよい。
 本開示は、本開示の広義の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく、様々な実施の形態及び変形が可能とされるものである。また、上述した実施の形態は、この開示を説明するためのものであり、本開示の範囲を限定するものではない。すなわち、本開示の範囲は、実施の形態ではなく、特許請求の範囲によって示される。そして、特許請求の範囲内及びそれと同等の開示の意義の範囲内で施される様々な変形が、この開示の範囲内とみなされる。

Claims (14)

  1.  導体に接続され、スイッチング動作によって前記導体の導通状態と非導通状態とを切り替えるスイッチング素子を制御する制御装置であって、
     スイッチング周期に対する前記スイッチング素子がオンとなる時間の比率を表す通流率の目標値を示す目標通流率が1未満の正数である場合に、少なくとも1回の前記スイッチング周期において前記目標通流率より高い1以下の値である検出用通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにする素子制御部と、
     前記導体に流れる直流電流の値を測定する電流センサが出力するアナログデータである電流センサ信号を前記スイッチング周期とは独立したサンプリング周期ごとに検出することで生成されたデジタルデータである電流検出値から前記導体に流れる直流電流の値を測定する電流値測定部と、
     を備える制御装置。
  2.  前記電流値測定部は、前記直流電流の値を測定するための期間であって複数の前記スイッチング周期を含む測定期間における前記電流検出値の最大値から、前記導体に流れる直流電流の値を測定する、
     請求項1に記載の制御装置。
  3.  前記素子制御部は、前記測定期間に含まれる最初の前記スイッチング周期において、前記検出用通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにし、前記測定期間に含まれる他の前記スイッチング周期において、前記目標通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにする、
     請求項2に記載の制御装置。
  4.  前記素子制御部は、前記測定期間に含まれる連続する複数の前記スイッチング周期のそれぞれにおいて、前記検出用通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにし、前記測定期間に含まれる他の前記スイッチング周期において、前記目標通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにする、
     請求項2に記載の制御装置。
  5.  前記素子制御部は、前記測定期間に含まれる互いに間隔が空いている複数の前記スイッチング周期のそれぞれにおいて、前記検出用通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにし、前記測定期間に含まれる他の前記スイッチング周期において、前記目標通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにする、
     請求項2に記載の制御装置。
  6.  前記素子制御部は、前記少なくとも1回の前記スイッチング周期において、前記スイッチング素子がオンとなる時間が前記サンプリング周期に一致する場合の前記スイッチング素子の通流率に一致する前記検出用通流率に応じて前記スイッチング素子を制御する、
     請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の制御装置。
  7.  前記スイッチング素子は、前記導体を介して接続される抵抗をコンデンサに電気的に接続し、または前記抵抗を前記コンデンサから電気的に切り離す、
     請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の制御装置。
  8.  前記素子制御部は、前記コンデンサに印加される電圧の値が閾値電圧値を超えると開始される前記測定期間に含まれる少なくとも1回の前記スイッチング周期において前記検出用通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにする、
     請求項7に記載の制御装置。
  9.  前記素子制御部は、前記コンデンサの電圧が閾値電圧を超えている間に定められた時間ごとに繰り返される前記測定期間に含まれる少なくとも1回の前記スイッチング周期において前記検出用通流率に応じて前記スイッチング素子を制御する、
     請求項7に記載の制御装置。
  10.  前記コンデンサに印加される電圧の値、および前記電流値測定部で測定された前記導体に流れる直流電流の値から前記抵抗の温度を推定する温度推定部をさらに備える、
     請求項7から9のいずれか1項に記載の制御装置。
  11.  前記電流値測定部で測定された前記導体に流れる直流電流の値、前記コンデンサに印加される電圧の値、および、前記測定期間における前記スイッチング素子がオンになっている時間の合計値から、前記測定期間における前記抵抗での消費電力量を推定する消費電力量推定部をさらに備える、
     請求項7から10のいずれか1項に記載の制御装置。
  12.  直流電力で充電されるコンデンサと、
     抵抗と、前記抵抗に直列に接続され、前記抵抗を前記コンデンサに電気的に接続し、または前記抵抗を前記コンデンサから電気的に切り離すスイッチング素子と、を有し、前記コンデンサに並列に接続される電力消費回路と、
     前記抵抗と前記スイッチング素子とを電気的に接続する導体に流れる直流電流の値を測定し、測定した前記直流電流の値を示すアナログデータである電流センサ信号を出力する電流センサと、
     請求項1から11のいずれか1項に記載の制御装置と、を備え、
     前記制御装置は、前記電力消費回路が有する前記スイッチング素子を制御する、
     電子機器。
  13.  鉄道車両に搭載され、
     前記コンデンサを介して供給される直流電力を前記鉄道車両の推進力を生じさせる電動機に供給するための電力に変換し、変換した電力を前記電動機に供給し、または、発電機として動作する前記電動機から供給される電力を直流電力に変換し、変換した直流電力で前記コンデンサを充電する電力変換回路をさらに備え、
     前記鉄道車両の減速時に、前記素子制御部は、前記コンデンサに印加される電圧の値により定まる前記目標通流率が1未満の正数である場合に、少なくとも1回の前記スイッチング周期において前記検出用通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにする、
     請求項12に記載の電子機器。
  14.  導体に接続され、スイッチング動作によって前記導体の導通状態と非導通状態とを切り替えるスイッチング素子を、スイッチング周期に対する前記スイッチング素子がオンとなる時間の比率を表す通流率の目標値を示す目標通流率が1未満の正数である場合に、少なくとも1回の前記スイッチング周期において前記目標通流率より高い1以下の値である検出用通流率と前記スイッチング周期とにより定まる時間だけ前記スイッチング素子をオンにし、
     前記導体に流れる直流電流の値を示すアナログデータである電流センサ信号を前記スイッチング周期とは独立したサンプリング周期ごとに検出することで生成されたデジタルデータである電流検出値から前記導体に流れる直流電流の値を測定する、
     制御方法。
