Abstract

玉軸受用冠型保持器は、円環状の主部と、主部から周方向に所定の間隔で軸方向に突出する複数の柱部と、隣り合う柱部の間に形成され、玉を保持可能な球面形状の球状凹面を有するポケットと、備える。柱部は、先端部が互いに間隔をあけて配置される一対の爪部と、一対の爪部を接続する接続部と、を有する。ポケットを構成する隣り合う二つの爪部の先端部同士の間には、玉の直径より短い幅を有し、かつ、玉を挿入するための、入口部が設けられる。ポケットの外周面から玉軸受用冠型保持器の中心までの距離は、柱部の外周面から中心までの距離よりも大きい。

Description

玉軸受用冠型保持器、及び玉軸受
 本発明は、玉軸受用冠型保持器、及び玉軸受に関する。
 図12は、従来例に係る玉軸受1の断面図である。一般に、各種回転機械の回転部分を支持するために、図12に示すような玉軸受1が使用されている。玉軸受1は、外周面に内輪軌道2を有する内輪3と、内輪3と同心に配置され、内周面に外輪軌道4を有する外輪5と、内輪軌道2と外輪軌道4との間に転動自在に配置される複数の玉6と、を備える。
 各玉6は、保持器100により転動自在に保持される。また、外輪5の内周面の軸方向両端部には、それぞれ円輪状の一対のシールド板7、7の外周縁が係止される。一対のシールド板7,7は、軸受空間に存在するグリース等の潤滑剤が外部に漏洩したり、外部に浮遊する塵埃が軸受空間に侵入したりすることを防止している。なお、密封装置として、非接触型のシールド板7,7に代えて、接触型のシールを使用してもよい。
 保持器100は、樹脂製の冠型保持器である。図13は、従来例に係る保持器100の斜視図である。図14は、従来例に係る保持器100の一部を径方向内側から見た図である。図15は、従来例に係る保持器100の一部を上面側から見た図である。図13~図15に示すように、保持器100は、円環状の主部101と、主部101から周方向に所定の間隔で軸方向に突出する複数の柱部102と、隣り合う柱部102の間に形成され、
玉6を保持可能な球面形状のポケット103と、を備える。
 柱部102は、先端部が互いに間隔をあけて配置される一対の爪部105,105を有する。ポケット103を構成する隣り合う二つの爪部105,105が玉6を保持することで、保持器100が外輪5と内輪3の間から軸方向に脱落するのを防止している。また、柱部102には、底面側に肉盗み109が形成されている。
 ところで、最近の自動車の電動化により、モータの回転軸を支持する転がり軸受(特に玉軸受)には高速回転化が要求されている。高速回転化のためには、(i)保持器柱部の遠心力による拡開を抑制し、ポケットの底部に発生する応力を下げることで、疲労破壊を防ぐこと、および、(ii)保持器の変形を抑制することで、外輪やシールに対する保持器の接触を避けて、保持器の摩耗、振動、発熱を抑制すること、が求められる。
 図13~図15に示すような従来型の保持器100においては、高速回転時に遠心力によって応力が保持器100に作用し、保持器100が外径側に変形してしまう可能性がある。図12には、保持器100が変形した様子が破線で示されている。この場合、保持器100が外輪5に接触したり(図12中のA部分を参照)、保持器100がシールド板7と接触したりしてしまい(図12中のB部分を参照)、保持器100が摩耗、振動、発熱することが懸念される。
 特許文献1に記載の保持器は、環状の基部と、基部から軸方向に延びるアキシャル部と、を有する。アキシャル部の外径は、基部の外径よりも小さい。基部には、アキシャル部の凹部域と連通し、軸方向に貫通する孔が形成されている。これにより、材料の量を減少させて質量を低く抑え、高速回転時に誘発される半径方向での変形を抑制することを図っている。
日本国特許第5436204号公報
 しかしながら、サイズの小さい軸受に対して、特許文献1に示されているように、基部にアキシャル部の凹部域と連通して軸方向に貫通する孔を形成すると、孔の回りが細くなりすぎ、強度低下のおそれがある。
 また、一般に、樹脂製の冠型保持器は、金型に樹脂を流し込む射出成形によって、製造されるため、樹脂が流動するために必要な太さを有する必要がある。しかし、特許文献1に記載の保持器では、ポケットを連結する環状の基部が2本に分岐しているため、良好な樹脂の流動が確保されるとは限らず、保持器の成形性が必ずしも良好とは言えない。そこで、成形性を考慮した形状に変更する必要がある。
 本発明は上記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、保持器の変形を抑制し、応力低減が可能であると共に、成形性も良好な玉軸受用冠型保持器及び玉軸受を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明の上記目的は、下記の構成により達成される。
(1) 円環状の主部と、
 前記主部から周方向に所定の間隔で軸方向に突出する複数の柱部と、
 隣り合う前記柱部の間に形成され、玉を保持可能な球面形状の球状凹面を有するポケットと、
を備える、玉軸受用冠型保持器であって、
 前記柱部は、先端部が互いに間隔をあけて配置される一対の爪部と、前記一対の爪部を接続する接続部と、を有し、
 前記ポケットを構成する隣り合う二つの前記爪部の先端部同士の間には、前記玉の直径より短い幅を有し、かつ、前記玉を挿入するための、入口部が設けられ、
 前記ポケットの外周面から前記玉軸受用冠型保持器の中心までの距離は、前記柱部の外周面から前記中心までの距離よりも大きいことを特徴とする玉軸受用冠型保持器。
(2) 前記主部の底面には、軸方向に突出する凸部が設けられ、
 前記凸部は、少なくとも一部が、周方向及び径方向において前記ポケットと重なる
(1)に記載の玉軸受用冠型保持器。
(3) 外輪と、
 内輪と、
 前記外輪と、前記内輪と、の間に配置された複数の前記玉と、
 (1)又は(2)に記載の玉軸受用冠型保持器と、
を備える、玉軸受。
 本発明の玉軸受用冠型保持器及び玉軸受によれば、保持器の変形を抑制し、応力低減が可能であると共に、成形性も良好である。

 以下、本発明の一実施形態に係る玉軸受用冠型保持器及び玉軸受について、図面を用いて説明する。
(第一実施形態)
 図1は、第一実施形態に係る保持器10の斜視図である。図2は、第一実施形態に係る保持器10の一部を上面側から見た図である。図3は、第一実施形態に係る保持器10の一部を径方向外側から見た図である。図4は、第一実施形態に係る保持器10の一部を周方向から見た図である。図1~図4に示すように、本実施形態の玉軸受用冠型保持器(以下、「冠型保持器」、又は単に「保持器」とも称す)10は、図13~図15に示す従来の保持器100と同様に、図12に示す玉軸受1に適用され得る。
 冠型保持器10は、例えば、ナイロン46(ポリアミド46、PA46)、ナイロン66(ポリアミド66,PA66)、ポリアミド9T(PA9T)、ポリアミド10T(PA10T)、L-PPS、PEEK、等の樹脂材料、または、他の樹脂材料からなる。また、保持器10の強度を向上させるために、繊維状強化材(炭素繊維やガラス繊維、アラミド繊維等)を数10%(例えば10~50wt%)添加した樹脂組成物でもよい。保持器10の製造方法としては、金型を利用して射出成形する方法や、3Dプリンターで製造する方法が例示される。
 冠型保持器10は、略円環状の主部20と、主部20から周方向に所定の間隔で軸方向に突出する複数の柱部30と、隣り合う柱部30,30の間に形成され、玉6(図12参照)を保持可能な球面形状のポケット40と、を備える。
 主部20の上面には、周方向に所定の間隔で、複数の球面形状の球状凹面21が形成されている。この球状凹面21は、主部20の径方向全幅にわたって形成されており、ポケット40を構成する。
 柱部30は、主部20から軸方向に突出する。柱部30は、一対の爪部31,31と、一対の爪部31,31を接続する接続部33と、を有する。
 一対の爪部31,31の先端部は、互いに周方向に間隔をあけて配置されている。また、ポケット40を構成する隣り合う二つの爪部31,31の先端部同士の間には、玉6(図12参照)の直径よりも短い幅を有し、かつ、玉6を挿入するための、入口部35が設けられる。
 爪部31は、ポケット40を構成する球面形状の周方向第一面31aと、周方向第一面31aとは反対側の周方向第二面31bと、を有する。
 一対の爪部31,31の周方向第二面31b,31bは、それぞれ湾曲形状であり、接続部33の上面33aで滑らかに接続する。この接続部33の上面33aは、当該上面33aと一対の周方向第二面31b,31bとによって形成される略U字状の底部に相当する。接続部33の上面33a(一対の周方向第二面31b,31bの底部)はポケット40の底部よりも僅かに上方(軸方向一方側)に位置している。したがって、一対の周方向第二面31b,31bの底部(接続部33の上面33a)は、保持器10の軸方向中央よりも下方(軸方向他方側)に位置し、略U字状の凹部を構成する。図13~図15に示すように、従来の冠型保持器100においては、接続部の上面(一対の周方向第二面の底部)は、主部101の上面よりもかなり上方に位置し、保持器100の軸方向中央よりも上方(軸方向一方側)に位置する。これにより、柱部30の軽量化を図り、柱部30の質量を抑制している。
 このように、本実施形態では、接続部33の上面33aから主部20の底面20aまでの軸方向幅h1は、保持器10の軸方向幅Hの1/2以下に設定される(h1≦H/2)。なお、軸方向幅h1を小さくしすぎると、保持器10の強度が低下する可能性があるため、軸方向幅h1は、ポケット40の底部における主部20の軸方向幅h2よりも大きくすることが好ましい(h1>h2)。
 隣り合う二つの爪部31,31の周方向第一面31a,31aと、主部20の球状凹面21と、はポケット40を構成する。これら二つの周方向第一面31a,31aおよび球状凹面21は、互いに滑らかに接続し、ポケット40の球状凹面を構成する。ポケット40の球状凹面の曲率半径は、玉6(図12参照)の転動面の曲率半径よりも大きく設定される。
 図2に示すように、ポケット40の外径(主部20のうちポケット40が形成される周方向位置の外径)Rは、柱部30および爪部31の外径rよりも大きく設定される。すなわち、ポケット40の外周面(主部20のうちポケット40が形成される周方向位置の外周面20b)から保持器10の中心までの距離Rは、柱部30の外周面30aから保持器10の中心までの距離rよりも大きく設定される(R>r)。
 さらに、柱部30の径方向幅tは、ポケット40の底部の径方向幅(主部20のうちポケット40の底部が形成される周方向位置の径方向幅)T以下に設定される(t≦T)。
 すなわち、本実施形態では、柱部30(爪部31)の径方向外側の領域が削られた構成が採用される。従来の冠型保持器100(図13~図15参照)においては、柱部102は主部101の上面の径方向全幅から軸方向に突出するので、本実施形態の柱部30(爪部31)はこの点で相違する。
 以上、説明したように、本実施形態の保持器10によれば、ポケット40の外周面から保持器10の中心までの距離Rは、柱部30の外周面30aから保持器10の中心までの距離rよりも大きく設定される(R>r)。したがって、保持器10は、ポケット40以外の部分、すなわち柱部30の径方向外側が削除された構造となり、軽量化される。また、従来の保持器のように、軽量化のために肉抜きを設けた構成ではないので、成形性も良好である。
 したがって、サイズの小さい軸受に適用する場合等、保持器10の寸法が小さい場合であっても、成形時の樹脂の流動性が悪化することなく成形でき、軽量化できる。したがって、高速回転時の遠心力による変形および応力を抑制することができる。したがって、保持器10が、外輪5やシールド板7等に接触することが防止でき、保持器10の摩耗や振動、発熱、破損を抑制できる。
(第二実施形態)
 次に、本発明の第二実施形態に係る玉軸受用冠型保持器について、図面を用いて説明する。
 図5は、第二実施形態に係る保持器10の斜視図である。図6は、第二実施形態に係る保持器10の一部を上面側から見た図である。図7は、第二実施形態に係る保持器10の一部を径方向外側から見た図である。図8は、第二実施形態に係る保持器10の一部を周方向から見た図である
 本実施形態の保持器10は、主部20の底面20aに軸方向他方側に突出する凸部23が設けられる構成が、第二実施形態の保持器10(図1~図4参照)と異なる。その他の構成は、第一実施形態と同一であるので、同一の符号を付すことでその説明を省略又は簡略化する。
 凸部23は、周方向に隣り合う柱部30,30の間において、主部20の底面20aから軸方向他方側(下方。図7中の上下方向において爪部31が延びる方向とは反対方向。)に突出する。すなわち、主部20の底面20aは、複数のポケット40の下方に、周方向に所定間隔で形成された複数の凸部23を有している。
 凸部23は、少なくとも一部が、周方向及び径方向においてポケット40と重なることが好ましい。とりわけ、凸部23が設けられる周方向範囲および径方向範囲が、ポケット40を構成する主部20の球状凹面21が設けられる周方向範囲および径方向範囲と略同一であることが好ましい。
 なお、凸部23が設けられる周方向範囲が広すぎると、実質的に第一実施形態と同じ構造になり、後述する組み込み時の爪部31に発生するひずみを低減する効果があまり得られない。また、凸部23が設けられる周方向範囲が狭すぎると、凸部23の周方向両端部の根本部と球状凹面21との最短距離が小さくなり、遠心力により、ポケット40に発生する応力が、ポケット底よりも高くなってしまう。また、凸部23が設けられる径方向範囲が、球状凹面21が設けられる径方向範囲と略同一であることによって、段差をなくし、段差での高い応力の発生を抑えられる。従って、凸部23が設けられる周方向範囲および径方向範囲が、ポケット40を構成する主部20の球状凹面21が設けられる周方向範囲および径方向範囲と略同一であることが好ましい。
 本実施形態の凸部23の径方向幅および周方向幅は、ポケット40の径方向幅(主部20の径方向幅)および周方向幅と略同一である。
 第二実施形態の保持器10によれば、第一実施形態と比較して遠心力により発生する応力や変形を抑制する効果についてはそれほど変わりないが、保持器10を内輪3、外輪5、玉6からなる玉軸受1に組み込む際に効果を発揮する。すなわち、保持器10の爪部31に発生するひずみが低減される。
(実施例1)
 第一及び第二実施形態の効果を確かめるために、有限要素法による解析を実施した。本解析では、第一及び第二実施形態の保持器10並びに従来例(図13~図15参照)の保持器100を回転させた際に、遠心力により保持器10,100に発生する最大主応力分布を算出した。
 従来例の保持器100の径方向幅は3.3mmとした。第一及び第二実施形態の保持器10において、ポケット40の底部の径方向幅Tは3.3mmとした。第二実施形態の保持器10において、凸部23の軸方向幅は、0.5mmとした。全ての保持器10,100の軸方向幅は、同一とした。
 保持器10,100の材料物性値は、ヤング率:7210MPa、ポアソン比:0.4、密度:1.27g/cm3とした。条件として、保持器回転数は1.7万rpmとした。図9(a)~(c)は、遠心力により保持器10,100に発生する最大主応力分布を示す図である。図9(a)は従来例の保持器100、図9(b)は第一実施形態の保持器10、図9(c)は第二実施形態の保持器10に相当する。ここで、応力値は相対値とした。従来例の保持器100にもっとも大きな応力が発生しているのがわかる。これに対して、第一及び第二実施形態の保持器100は、従来例の保持器100と比較して、ポケット底に発生する応力が半分以下に抑制されていることがわかる。
 保持器が回転すると遠心力が働き、保持器は径方向外向きに広がろうとする。遠心力の大きさは、保持器の質量、回転中心から保持器までの距離、回転速度等によって決まる。冠型保持器は、各ポケットが主部によって接続されているため、遠心力が働くと、主部を中心に、爪部に働く遠心力によって、爪部は径方向外向きに倒れようとする。従来の保持器100に比べて、第一及び第二実施形態の保持器10は、爪部31の径方向幅が小さいため、質量が小さくなり、爪部31に働く遠心力はその分、小さくなる。そのため、爪部31が倒れにくくなり、ポケット底に発生する応力が低減すると考えられる。
(実施例2)
 主部20の底面20aに凸部23のない第一実施形態の保持器10と、主部20の底面20aに凸部23のある第二実施形態の保持器10を、内輪3、外輪5、玉6からなる玉軸受1に組み込む際に保持器10の爪部31に発生するひずみを有限要素法による解析を実施し、算出した。図10は、解析用のモデルを説明するための図である。図10に示すように、解析用のモデルにおいては、保持器10の一部分を取り出し、玉6を少しずつ押し込んでいった。
 図11(a)及び(b)は、第一及び第二実施形態の保持器100における、ひずみが最大となったときのひずみ分布を示す図である。図11(a)の第一実施形態の保持器10の爪部31に発生するひずみの最大値は1.9%、図11(b)の保持器10の爪部31に発生するひずみの最大値は1.2%となり、ひずみは大きく下がったことから、凸部23を設けることによって、ひずみの低減効果があることがわかる。
 この理由として、図11(a)~(b)に示すように、保持器10のポケット40に玉6が押し込まれると、爪部31は剛性の低い部分を支点Pとして円周方向に広がろうとするためであると考えられる。すなわち、支点Pが爪部31の先端部から遠い位置にあるほど、ひずみ発生領域Dが広がり、発生するひずみは分散するために最大値が下がるためであると考えられる。
 図11(a)に示した第一実施形態の保持器10よりも、図11(b)に示した第二実施形態の保持器10の方が、爪部31の先端部から支点Pまでの距離が長くなるので、ひずみ発生領域Dが広がり、実施例1よりもひずみはさらに下がる。
 なお、第二実施形態の保持器10は、ナイロン46やナイロン66よりも伸びが小さいポリアミド9T(PA9T)、ポリアミド10T(PA10T)といった樹脂材料を使用した保持器に適用すると、ひずみを減少させることができ好適である。
 以上、図面を参照しながら各種の実施の形態について説明したが、本発明はかかる例に限定されないことは言うまでもない。当業者であれば、特許請求の範囲に記載された範疇内において、各種の変更例又は修正例に想到し得ることは明らかであり、それらについても当然に本発明の技術的範囲に属するものと了解される。また、発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲において、上記実施の形態における各構成要素を任意に組み合わせてもよい。

Claims (3)

  1.  円環状の主部と、
     前記主部から周方向に所定の間隔で軸方向に突出する複数の柱部と、
     隣り合う前記柱部の間に形成され、玉を保持可能な球面形状の球状凹面を有するポケットと、
    を備える、玉軸受用冠型保持器であって、
     前記柱部は、先端部が互いに間隔をあけて配置される一対の爪部と、前記一対の爪部を接続する接続部と、を有し、
     前記ポケットを構成する隣り合う二つの前記爪部の先端部同士の間には、前記玉の直径より短い幅を有し、かつ、前記玉を挿入するための、入口部が設けられ、
     前記ポケットの外周面から前記玉軸受用冠型保持器の中心までの距離は、前記柱部の外周面から前記中心までの距離よりも大きいことを特徴とする玉軸受用冠型保持器。
  2.  前記主部の底面には、軸方向に突出する凸部が設けられ、
     前記凸部は、少なくとも一部が、周方向及び径方向において前記ポケットと重なる
    請求項1に記載の玉軸受用冠型保持器。
  3.  外輪と、
