Definitions
- the present invention relates to a smoking material wrapper to which a balsamic flavor is added and a smoking article including the same.
- Tobacco smoke generated through smoking can be divided into main stream smoke, which passes through a cigarette filter and is delivered to the mouth, and side stream smoke, which is generated into the atmosphere without passing through a filter. .
- Cigarettes are one of the favorite items, but components that cause unpleasant odors contained in mainstream smoke and sidestream smoke can get on the fingers of smokers holding cigarettes and cause unpleasant odors, and can cause bad breath after smoking, and cigarette smoke in the environment (environmental tobacco smoke, ETS) can cause discomfort not only to smokers but also to people around them.
- ETS electronic tobacco smoke
- Patent Document 1 Japanese Patent Publication No. 2003-530827
- the present invention provides a smoking substance wrapper surrounding a smoking substance portion of a smoking article, wherein the smoking substance wrapper contains a balsamic fragrance.
- the balsamic fragrance is a benzoin resinoid, benzoic acid, cinnamic acid, benzaldehyde or a combination thereof.
- the smoking substance wrapper contains balsamic fragrance in an amount greater than 0.1% by weight and less than 15% by weight based on the total weight of the smoking substance wrapper.
- the smoking material wrapper has a basis weight of 20 g/m 2 to 50 g/m 2 .
- the smoking material wrapper further comprises an alkali metal-citrate as a flavoring agent, and the alkali metal-citrate is 0.5% to 2.0% by weight based on the total weight of the smoking material wrapper. is included in the smoking material wrapper.
- the present invention provides a smoking article comprising a smoking substance portion surrounded by the aforementioned smoking substance wrapper, and a filter portion having an upstream end joined to the smoking substance portion and surrounded by a filter wrapper.
- the smoking material wrapper contains balsamic fragrance and reduces the total weight of 3-ethyl pyridine, 3-ethenyl pyridine and pyridine in sidestream smoke by at least 30%.
- the smoking material wrapper according to one embodiment of the present invention contains balsamic fragrance, thereby reducing the unpleasant odor of sidestream smoke generated during smoking through the smoking article, and imparting a soft feeling of mild irritation.
- the balsamic fragrance has fragrance properties similar to wood-based fibers that mainly form a wrapper for smoking substances, so that even if a certain level or more is added to reduce unpleasant odor, the character fragrance may not be prominently revealed, further enhancing the functionality of removing unpleasant odor from sidestream smoke. may be suitable
- FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of a smoking article according to one embodiment of the present invention.
- first, second, A, B, (a), and (b) may be used in describing the components of the specific example. These terms are only used to distinguish the component from other components, and the nature, sequence, or order of the corresponding component is not limited by the term.
- smoking article may refer to an object capable of generating aerosol, such as cigarettes (cigarettes) and cigars.
- the smoking article may include an aerosol-generating material or an aerosol-forming substrate.
- the smoking article may include a solid material based on tobacco raw materials such as leaf tobacco, cut filler, and reconstituted tobacco.
- Smoking substances may contain volatile compounds.
- the smoking article may include several segments, each having a functional function, such segments as "... It is marked as “Part”.
- the smoking article may be not only a combustion type cigarette, but also a heating type cigarette used with an aerosol generating device (not shown) such as an electronic cigarette device, but considering that the present invention has an improved effect, particularly in sidestream smoke If so, combustion type cigarettes can be preferably applied.
- upstream and downstream are terms used to denote the relative positions of the segments constituting the smoking article with respect to the direction in which the user draws air using the smoking article.
- the smoking article includes an upstream end (ie, a portion through which air enters) and an opposite downstream end (ie, a portion through which air exits). When using the smoking article, the user may bite the downstream end of the smoking article.
- the downstream end is located downstream of the upstream end, while the term “end” may also be described as “end”.
- a smoking article 100 includes a smoking substance unit 10 and a filter unit 20 .
- the smoking material part 10 is surrounded by a smoking material wrapper 30a, and the filter part 20 is surrounded by a filter wrapper 30b.
- the smoking substance portion 10 surrounded by the smoking substance wrapper 30a and the filter portion 20 surrounded by the filter wrapper 30b are coupled by a tip paper 40 .
- the smoking substance portion 10 is located upstream compared to the filter portion 20.
