[1.1 積層体の構成]
図1は、本開示の第1の実施形態に係る積層体10の斜視図である。図2は、図1のII-II線に沿った断面図である。積層体10は、基材11と、接着層12と、記録媒体20と、接着層13と、オーバーレイ層14とを順に備える。積層体10は、セキュリティカード、金融決済カード(例えば、クレジットカート、キャッシュカード等)、IDカード(例えば、社員証、会員証、学生証等)、または個人取引カード(例えば、プリペイドカード、ポイントカード等)等のカード(以下「セキュリティカード等」という。)であってもよい。
基材11は、記録媒体20を支持する支持体である。基材11は、カードであってもよい。基材11は、白色等の色を有していてもよい。基材11は、記録媒体20等が設けられる側の一方の主面に、図柄、絵、写真、文字、またはそれらの2以上の組み合わせ等(以下「図柄等」という。)が印刷されていてもよい。
記録媒体20は、外部刺激により着色状態を変化可能に構成されている。この着色状態の変化により、例えば、図柄等を記録媒体20に記録可能である。外部刺激は、レーザー光である。着色状態の変化は、偽造防止性の向上の観点から、不可逆変化であることが好ましい。すなわち、記録媒体20の方式は、図柄等を一度だけ書き込むことが可能なライトワンスであることが好ましい。
オーバーレイ層14は、記録媒体20上に設けられ、記録媒体20を覆う。記録媒体20とオーバーレイ層14との間には接着層13が挟まれている。オーバーレイ層14は、積層体10の内部の部材(すなわち記録媒体20)を保護し、積層体10の機械的信頼性を保持する。
接着層12は、基材11と記録媒体20との間に設けられ、基材11と記録媒体20とを貼り合わせる。接着層13は、記録媒体20とオーバーレイ層14との間に設けられ、記録媒体20とオーバーレイ層14とを貼り合わせる。接着層12、13は、透明性を有している。接着層12、13は、熱接着剤を含む。熱接着剤は、熱硬化性樹脂を含む。熱硬化性樹脂は、例えば、エポキシ系樹脂およびウレタン系樹脂等からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種を含む。熱接着剤の硬化温度は、記録媒体20に対するダメージを低減する観点から、100℃以上120℃以下の温度範囲であることが好ましい。
図3は、記録媒体20の断面図である。記録媒体20は、基材21、中間層32A、発色層24、中間層32B、発色層27、中間層32Cおよび発色層30をこの順序で備える。より具体的には、記録媒体20は、基材21、粘着剤層22、拡散抑制層23、発色層24、粘着剤層25、拡散抑制層26、発色層27、粘着剤層28、拡散抑制層29および発色層30をこの順序で備える。記録媒体20は、図3に示すように、発色層30上に保護層31をさらに備えていてもよい。記録媒体20は、図4に示すように、発色層30と保護層31の間に中間層32Dをさらに備えていてもよい。より具体的には、記録媒体20は、図4に示すように、発色層30と保護層31の間に粘着剤層33と拡散抑制層34とをさらに備えていてもよい。基材21が接着層12側となり、保護層31が接着層13側となる。
基材21は、発色層24、27、30等を支持するための支持体である。基材11は、耐熱性に優れ、且つ、平面方向の寸法安定性に優れた材料により構成されていることが好ましい。基材21は、光透過性および非光透過性のどちらの特性を有していてもよい。基材21は、例えば、ウェハ等の剛性を有する基板でもよいし、可撓性を有する薄層ガラス、フィルムあるいは紙等でもよい。基材21として可撓性基板を用いることにより、フレキシブル(折り曲げ可能)な記録媒体20を実現することができる。
中間層32Aは、基材21と発色層24の間に設けられている。中間層32Aは、基材21と発色層24の間を貼り合わせることができる。中間層32Aは、基材21と発色層24の間を断熱することができ、かつ、基材21と発色層24の間における構成材料の拡散を抑制することができてもよい。中間層32Aは、粘着剤層22と拡散抑制層23とを備える。粘着剤層22が基材21に隣接し、拡散抑制層23が発色層24に隣接する。
発色層24、27、30は、レーザー光または熱等の外部刺激により着色状態を変化させることが可能に構成されている。発色層24、27、30は、安定した記録が可能な、発色状態を制御し得る材料を用いて構成されている。発色層24、27、30は、電子供与性を有する呈色性化合物と、電子受容性を有し、呈色性化合物に対応する顕色剤と、マトリックスポリマー(バインダ)と、光熱変換材料とを含む。発色層24、27、30は、必要に応じて、上記材料の他に、例えば、増感剤および紫外線吸収材等からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種の添加剤を含んでいてもよい。
呈色性化合物は、例えば、ロイコ色素である。ロイコ色素は、例えば、既存の感熱紙用染料であってもよい。具体例として、下記の式(1)で表される、分子内に電子供与性を有する基を含む化合物が挙げられる。
顕色剤は、例えば、無色の呈色性化合物を発色させるためのものである。顕色剤は、粒子状を有していてもよい。顕色剤としては、例えば、フェノール誘導体、サリチル酸誘導体および尿素誘導体等からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種が挙げられる。具体的には例えば、分子内に電子受容性を有する基を含む、下記の式(2)に示したヒドロキシ安息香酸型の化合物が挙げられる。ヒドロキシ安息香酸型の化合物は、ビス(ヒドロキシ安息香酸)型の化合物であってもよい。
マトリックスポリマー(マトリックス樹脂)は、バインダとしての機能を有していることが好ましい。マトリックスポリマーは、呈色性化合物、顕色剤および光熱変換材料が均質に分散しやすいものが好ましい。マトリックスポリマーとしては、例えば、熱硬化性樹脂および熱可塑性樹脂からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種が挙げられる。具体的には、例えば、ポリ塩化ビニル系樹脂、ポリ酢酸ビニル系樹脂、塩化ビニル-酢酸ビニル共重合体系樹脂、エチルセルロース系樹脂、ポリスチレン系樹脂、スチレン系共重合体系樹脂、フェノキシ樹脂系樹脂、ポリエステル系樹脂、芳香族ポリエステル系樹脂、ポリウレタン系樹脂、ポリカーボネート系樹脂、ポリアクリル酸エステル系樹脂、ポリメタクリル酸エステル系樹脂、アクリル酸系共重合体系樹脂、マレイン酸系重合体系樹脂、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂、変性ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース系樹脂、カルボキシメチルセルロース系樹脂およびデンプン等からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種が挙げられる。
光熱変換材料は、例えば、近赤外線領域の所定の波長域の光を吸収して発熱するものである。光熱変換材料としては、例えば波長700nm以上2000nm以下の範囲に吸収ピークを有し、可視領域にほとんど吸収を持たない近赤外線吸収色素を用いることが好ましい。具体的には、例えば、フタロシアニン骨格を有する化合物(フタロシアニン系染料)、スクアリリウム骨格を有する化合物(スクアリリウム系染料)および無機化合物等からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種が挙げられる。無機化合物としては、例えば、ジチオ錯体等の金属錯体、ジイモニウム塩、アミニウム塩および無機化合物等からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種が挙げられる。無機化合物としては、例えば、グラファイト、カーボンブラック、金属粉末粒子、四三酸化コバルト、酸化鉄、酸化クロム、酸化銅、チタンブラック、ITO(Indium Tin Oxide)等の金属酸化物、窒化ニオブ等の金属窒化物、炭化タンタル等の金属炭化物、金属硫化物および各種磁性粉末等からなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種が挙げられる。この他、優れた耐光性および耐熱性を有するシアニン骨格を有する化合物(シアニン系染料)を用いてもよい。なお、ここで、優れた耐光性とは、使用環境下で、例えば蛍光灯の光等の照射によって、分解しないことである。優れた耐熱性とは、例えば、高分子材料と共に成膜し、例えば150℃で30分間保管した際に、吸収スペクトルの最大吸収ピーク値に20%以上の変化が生じないことである。このようなシアニン骨格を有する化合物としては、例えば、分子内に、SbF6、PF6、BF4、ClO4、CF3SO3および(CF3SO3)2Nのうちのいずれかのカウンターイオンと、5員環または6員環を含むメチン鎖との少なくとも一方を有するものが挙げられる。なお、第1の実施形態において記録媒体20に用いられるシアニン骨格を有する化合物は、上記カウンターイオンのいずれかおよびメチン鎖内に5員環および6員環等の環状構造の両方を備えていることが好ましいが、少なくとも一方を備えていれば、十分な耐光性および耐熱性が担保される。
拡散抑制層23は、基材21と発色層24との間に設けられ、基材21と発色層24との間の物質(例えば呈色性化合物等)の拡散を抑制し、かつ、基材21と発色層24との間を断熱することができる。拡散抑制層26は、発色層24と発色層27との間に設けられ、発色層24と発色層27との間の物質(例えば呈色性化合物等)の拡散を抑制することができ、かつ、発色層24と発色層27との間を断熱することができる。拡散抑制層29は、発色層27と発色層30との間に設けられ、発色層27と発色層30との間の物質(例えば呈色性化合物等)の拡散を抑制することができ、かつ、発色層27と発色層30との間を断熱することができる。拡散抑制層34は、発色層30と保護層31との間に設けられ、発色層30と保護層31との間の物質(例えば呈色性化合物等)の拡散を抑制することができ、かつ、発色層30と保護層31との間を断熱することができる。
粘着剤層22は、基材21と拡散抑制層23との間に設けられ、基材21と拡散抑制層23とを貼り合わせる。粘着剤層25は、発色層24と拡散抑制層26との間に設けられ、発色層24と拡散抑制層26とを貼り合わせる。粘着剤層28は、発色層27と拡散抑制層29との間に設けられ、発色層27と拡散抑制層29とを貼り合わせる。粘着剤層33は、発色層30と拡散抑制層34の間に設けられ、発色層30と拡散抑制層34とを貼り合わせる。
保護層31は、記録媒体20の表面を保護するためのものであり、例えば、紫外線硬化性樹脂および熱硬化性樹脂のうちの少なくとも1種を用いて形成されている。保護層31は、ハードコート層であることが好ましい。保護層31の厚みは、例えば0.1μm以上20μm以下である。保護層31は、記録媒体20Aの表面を保護する機能に加えて、発色層24、27、30に入射する紫外線をカットする機能を有していてもよい。この場合、保護層31は、樹脂層と、UVカット層とを含んでいてもよい。具体的には例えば、保護層31は、樹脂層と、UVカット層と、粘着剤層と、基材とを発色層30の一主面に順に備えていてもよい。樹脂層は、例えば、紫外線硬化性樹脂および熱硬化性樹脂のうちの少なくとも1種を含む。樹脂層は、ハードコート層であることが好ましい。
積層体10を構成する各層の間の界面の平均剥離強度は、好ましくは3.5N/cm以上、より好ましくは4.0N/cm以上、さらに好ましくは4.5N/cm以上、特に好ましくは5.0N/cm以上である。各層の間の界面の平均剥離強度が3.5N/cm以上であると、積層体10を構成する各層の間の界面での剥離を抑制することができる。したがって、積層体10の偽造防止性および改ざん防止性を向上させることができる。ここで、積層体10を構成する各層には、記録媒体20を構成する各層が含まれていてもよい。
基材11およびオーバーレイ層14が、密着性の向上の観点から、同一種類の樹脂材料を含むことが好ましい。当該樹脂材料は、熱可塑性樹脂であってもよい。基材11およびオーバーレイ層14が、環境配慮性の観点から、ポリカーボネート(PC)系樹脂またはポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)系樹脂を含むことが好ましい。基材11およびオーバーレイ層14が、耐久性の向上の観点から、ポリカーボネート(PC)系樹脂またはポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)系樹脂を含むことが好ましい。基材11およびオーバーレイ層14が、密着性の向上、環境配慮性および耐久性の向上の観点から、ポリカーボネート(PC)系樹脂を含むことが好ましい。
また、取得した各層のIRスペクトルを用いて、基材11、オーバーレイ層14それぞれに含まれる樹脂材料の種類を確認することもできる。
以下、本開示の第1の実施形態に係る積層体10の製造方法の一例について説明する。
第1の実施形態に係る積層体10では、例えば、以下のようにして記録媒体20に図柄等を記録することができる。ここでは、発色層24、27、30がそれぞれ、シアン色、マゼンタ色、イエロー色を呈する場合を例として説明する。
上述したように、第1の実施形態に係る積層体10は、発色層24と発色層27の間に拡散抑制層26を含む中間層32Bと、発色層27と発色層30の間に拡散抑制層29を含む中間層32Cとを備える。拡散抑制層26は、記録媒体20を加熱した際に、発色層24と発色層27の間の呈色性化合物の拡散を抑制することができる。拡散抑制層29は、記録媒体20を加熱した際に、発色層27と発色層30の間の呈色性化合物の拡散を抑制することができる。これにより、記録媒体20の色域の変化を抑制することができる。
積層体10は、フルカラーの記録媒体20を積層体10の面内の一部に備えるので、フルカラーの記録媒体20を積層体10の全面に備える場合に比較してコストを低減することができる。
記録媒体20が積層体10の内部に封入されているので、記録媒体20に対する水分の影響を低減することができる。
[2.1 積層体の構成]
図7は、本開示の第2の実施形態に係る積層体40の断面図である。積層体40は、接着層12および接着層13を備えず、基材11と記録媒体20との間および記録媒体20とオーバーレイ層14との間が融着により貼り合わされている点において、第1の実施形態に係る積層体10とは異なっている。
以下、本開示の第2の実施形態に係る積層体40の製造方法の一例について説明する。
上述したように、第2の実施形態に係る積層体40では、基材11と記録媒体20との間および記録媒体20とオーバーレイ層14との間は融着されている。これにより、基材11と記録媒体20との間および記録媒体20とオーバーレイ層14との間を強固に貼り合わせることができる。したがって、積層体40の偽造防止性を向上させることができる。また、積層体40の改ざん防止性を向上させることもできる。よって、積層体40のセキュリティ性を向上させることができる。
(変形例1)
第1、第2の実施形態では、記録媒体20が基材11の第1の主面の全面を覆っている例について説明したが、図8に示すように、記録媒体20が孔部20HLを有していてもよい。なお、図8では、積層体40が、孔部20HLを有する記録媒体20を備える例に示されているが、積層体10が、孔部20HLを有する記録媒体20を備えてもよい。
第2の実施形態に係る積層体40が、図9に示すように、基材11と記録媒体20との間に中間層15を備えていてもよい。あるいは、図10に示すように、記録媒体20とオーバーレイ層14との間に中間層15を備えていてもよい。記録媒体20の視認性を考慮すると、積層体40が、基材11と記録媒体20との間に中間層15を備えていることが好ましい。中間層15は、例えば、IC(Integrated Circuit)チップ15Aを内部に含む。中間層15は、例えば、フィルムまたは接着剤層である。
第2の実施形態に係る積層体40が、図11に示すように、基材11と記録媒体20との間に微細印刷層16を備えていてもよい。あるいは、図12に示すように、記録媒体20とオーバーレイ層14との間に微細印刷層16を備えていてもよい。記録媒体20の視認性を考慮すると、積層体40が、基材11と記録媒体20との間に微細印刷層16を備えていることが好ましい。微細印刷層16は、例えば、規定の微細印刷パターンを有している。微細印刷パターンは、地紋等であってもよい。
第2の実施形態に係る積層体40が、図13に示すように、側面にバリア層17を備えてもよい。バリア層17は、図13に示すように、積層体40の側面の全体を覆っていてもよいし、図14に示すように、積層体40の側面の一部、例えば記録媒体20の側面を覆っていてもよい。バリア層17は、積層体40の側面を保護することができる。
第1、第2の実施形態では、記録媒体20が、3層の発色層(発色層24、27、30)を備える例について説明したが、記録媒体20が、単層の発色層を備えるようにしてもよい。この場合、記録媒体20は、基材、粘着剤層、発色層および保護層をこの順序で備えてもよい。発色層は、発色状態において黒色を呈してもよい。
第1、第2の実施形態において、顕色剤は、下記の式(3)で表される化合物を含んでもよい。
式(3)中のX0および式(4)中のX1は、例えば、1つのベンゼン環を含む二価の基である。当該二価の基は、例えば、下記の式(5)で表される。
式(5)中のX21、X22はそれぞれ独立して、二価の基であればよく、特に限定されるものではないが、例示するならば、置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基である。炭化水素基は、鎖状であることが好ましい。炭化水素基が鎖状であると、顕色剤の融点を低減することができるので、レーザー光の照射により顕色剤が溶けて、呈色性化合物を発色させ易くなる。顕色剤の融点の低減の観点からすると、鎖状の炭化水素基のうちのでも、ノルマルアルキル鎖が特に好ましい。
式(5)中のR21は、一価の基であればよく、特に限定されるものではないが、例示するならば、ハロゲン基または置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基である。
式(6)中のR22は、一価の基であればよく、特に限定されるものではないが、例示するならば、ハロゲン基または置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基である。ハロゲン基、置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基はそれぞれ、上記(3)式中のR21と同様である。
式(3)中のX0および式(4)中のX1は、例えば、2つのベンゼン環を含む二価の基である。当該二価の基は、例えば、下記の式(7)で表される。
式(7)中のX31、X32、X33はそれぞれ独立して、二価の基であればよく、特に限定されるものではないが、例示するならば、置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基である。当該炭化水素基は、上記の式(5)中のX21、X22と同様である。
式(8)中のX34は、二価の基であればよく、特に限定されるものではないが、例示するならば、置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基である。当該炭化水素基は、上記の式(5)中のX21、X22と同様である。
式(7)中のR31、R32は、一価の基であればよく、特に限定されるものではないが、例示するならば、ハロゲン基または置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基である。ハロゲン基、置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基はそれぞれ、上記の式(5)中のR21と同様である。
式(8)中のR33、R34は、一価の基であればよく、特に限定されるものではないが、例示するならば、ハロゲン基または置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基である。ハロゲン基、置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基はそれぞれ、上記の式(5)中のR21と同様である。
式(3)中のY01、Y02はそれぞれ独立して、例えば、水素基(-H)、ヒドロキシ基(-OH)、ハロゲン基(-X)、カルボキシ基(-COOH)、エステル基(-COOR)または置換基を有していてもよい炭化水素基である。
式(4)において、ベンゼン環に対するY11およびY12の結合位置は限定されない。すなわち、ベンゼン環に対するY11およびY12の結合位置は、オルト位、メタ位およびパラ位のいずれであってもよい。同様に、式(4)において、ベンゼン環に対するY13およびY14の結合位置も限定されない。すなわち、ベンゼン環に対するY13およびY14の結合位置も、オルト位、メタ位およびパラ位のいずれであってもよい。式(4)において、一方のベンゼンに対するY11およびY12の結合位置と、他方のベンゼンに対するY13およびY14の結合位置とは同一であってもよいし、異なってもよい。
式(3)中のZ01、Z02はそれぞれ独立して、例えば、ウレア結合(-NHCONH-)、アミド結合(-NHCO-、-OCHN-)またはヒドラジド結合(-NHCOCONH-)である。高温高湿保管特性の向上の観点からすると、Z01、Z02はウレア結合であることが好ましい。Z01がアミド結合である場合、当該アミド結合に含まれる窒素がベンゼンと結合していてもよいし、当該アミド結合に含まれる炭素がベンゼンと結合していてもよい。Z02がアミド結合である場合、当該アミド結合に含まれる窒素がベンゼンと結合していてもよいし、当該アミド結合に含まれる炭素がベンゼンと結合していてもよい。
式(4)中のZ11、Z12はそれぞれ独立して、例えば、ウレア結合(-NHCONH-)、アミド結合(-NHCO-、-OCHN-)またはヒドラジド結合(-NHCOCONH-)である。高温高湿保管特性の向上の観点からすると、Z11、Z12はウレア結合であることが好ましい。Z11がアミド結合である場合、当該アミド結合に含まれる窒素がベンゼンと結合していてもよいし、当該アミド結合に含まれる炭素がベンゼンと結合していてもよい。Z12がアミド結合である場合、当該アミド結合に含まれる窒素がベンゼンと結合していてもよいし、当該アミド結合に含まれる炭素がベンゼンと結合していてもよい。
式(3)中のX0および式(4)中のX1が1つのベンゼン環を含む顕色剤は、具体的には例えば、下記の式(9-1)から(9-6)で表される化合物からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種を含む。
第1、第2の実施形態では、積層体10、40が、記録媒体20(図3参照)を備える例について説明したが、積層体10、40が、記録媒体20に代えて、図15に示す記録媒体20Aを備えてもよい。
粘着剤層36Cの材料としては、粘着剤層22、25、28、33と同様の材料を例示することができる。基材36Dは、紫外線硬化性樹脂層36A、UVカット層36Bおよび粘着剤層36Cを支持することができる。基材36Dは、記録媒体20Aの表面を保護することができる。基材36Dの材料としては、例えば、基材11と同様の材料を例示することができる。
積層体10、40が、記録媒体20(図3参照)に代えて、図16に示す記録媒体20Bを備えてもよい。記録媒体20Bは、保護層31に代えて、保護層36を備える点において、記録媒体20とは異なっている。保護層36は、変形例7にて説明したとおりである。図28に示すように、記録媒体20Bは、発色層30と保護層36の間に粘着剤層81をさらに備えていてもよい。粘着剤層81は、発色層30と保護層36とを貼り合わせる。粘着剤層81が発色層30と保護層36の間に備えられていることで、発色層30と保護層36の間の密着性を向上させることができる。粘着剤層81は、OCA(Optical Clear Adhesive)等の光学用粘着シートであってもよい。粘着剤層81に含まれる粘着剤としては、粘着剤層22、25、28、33と同様の材料を例示することができる。図16、図28では、記録媒体20Bが基材21および中間層32Aを備える例が示されているが、記録媒体20Bが基材21および中間層32Aを備えていなくてもよい。
積層体10、40が、記録媒体20(図3参照)に代えて、図17に示す記録媒体20Cを備えていてもよい。記録媒体20Cは、中間層35A、35B、35Cに代えて、中間層37A、37B、37Cを備える点において、記録媒体20Aとは異なっている。記録媒体20Cは、基材21と粘着剤層22とを備えていなくてもよい。
積層体10、40が、積層体10が記録媒体20(図3参照)に代えて、図18に示す記録媒体20Dを備えていてもよい。記録媒体20Dは、中間層35A、35B、35Cに代えて、中間層38A、38B、38Cを備える点において、記録媒体20Aとは異なっている。
積層体10、40が、記録媒体20(図3参照)に代えて、図19に示す記録媒体20Eを備えていてもよい。記録媒体20Eは、中間層35A、35B、35Cに代えて、中間層39A、39B、39Cを備える点において、記録媒体20Aとは異なっている。記録媒体20Eは、基材21と粘着剤層22とを備えていなくてもよい。
積層体10、40が、記録媒体20(図3参照)に代えて、図20に示す記録媒体20Fを備えていてもよい。記録媒体20Fは、中間層39Bに代えて、中間層41Bを備える点において、変形例11における記録媒体20Eとは異なっている。
積層体10、40が、記録媒体20(図3参照)に代えて、図21に示す記録媒体20Gを備えていてもよい。記録媒体20Gは、中間層39Aに代えて、中間層38Aを備え、かつ、基材42を備える点において、変形例11における記録媒体20Eとは異なっている。
積層体10、40が、記録媒体20(図3参照)に代えて、図22に示す記録媒体20Hを備えていてもよい。記録媒体20Hは、中間層35A、35Bに代えて、中間層42A、42Bを備える点において、記録媒体20Aとは異なっている。
第1、第2の実施形態およびそれらの変形例では、積層体10、40をカードに適用した例について説明したが、積層体10、40は医療用品、自動車部品、自動車、玩具、食品、化粧品、服飾品、書類(例えばパスポート等)、外装部材または電子機器等の筐体に適用してもよい。外装部材の具体例として、例えば、建造物の壁等の内装あるいは外装、または机等の家具の外装等が挙げられる。電子機器の具体例としては、パーソナルコンピュータ(以下「PC」という。)、モバイル機器、携帯電話(例えばスマートフォン)、タブレット型コンピュータ、表示装置、撮影装置、オーディオ機器、ゲーム機器、工業用器具、医療用機器、ロボットまたはウェアラブル端末等が挙げられる。ウェアラブル端末の具体例としては、時計(腕時計)、鞄、衣服、帽子、眼鏡または靴等の服飾品が挙げられる。
図23Aは、スマートフォン100の前面の外観構成を、図23Bは、図23Aに示したスマートフォン100の背面の外観構成を表したものである。このスマートフォン100は、例えば、表示部111と、筐体112とを備える。筐体112の背面側には、記録媒体20が設けられている。筐体112は、積層体により構成されている。この積層体は、基材がスマートフォン100の筐体形状を有していること以外は第1、第2の実施形態およびそれらの変形例に係る積層体10、40のいずれかと同様である。これにより、スマートフォン100の偽造防止性等を向上させることができる。
図24は、ノート型PC200の外観構成を表したものである。ノート型PC200は、コンピュータ本体210と、ディスプレイ220とを備える。コンピュータ本体210は、筐体211と、キーボード212と、ホイール/パッド操作部213と、クリックボタン214、215とを備える。筐体112には、記録媒体20が設けられている。筐体211は、積層体により構成されている。この積層体は、基材がノート型PC200の筐体形状を有していること以外は第1、第2の実施形態およびそれらの変形例に係る積層体10、40のいずれかと同様である。これにより、ノート型PC200の偽造防止性等を向上させることができる。
図25は、化粧容器300の外観を表したものである。この化粧容器300は、収容部311と、収容部311を覆う蓋312を備える。蓋312には、記録媒体20が設けられている。蓋312は、積層体により構成されている。この積層体は、基材が蓋312に応じた形状を有していること以外は第1、第2の実施形態およびそれらの変形例に係る積層体10、40のいずれかと同様である。これにより、化粧容器300の偽造防止性等を向上させることができる。
図26は、冊子400の外観を表したものである。冊子400は、パスポートである。パスポートは、冊子型の身分証明書の一例である。冊子400は、複数のシート410を備えている。複数のシート410は、中綴じされている。シート410の少なくとも一方の面または両面には、記録媒体20等が設けられる。記録媒体20等には、顔写真等が描画されている。シート410は、第1、第2の実施形態およびそれらの変形例に係る積層体10、40のいずれかと同様である。この場合、基材11は紙等であってもよい。

基材およびオーバーレイ層として以下のものを用いること以外は参考1-1と同様にして積層体を得た。
オーバーレイ層:厚み50μmのPETフィルム
基材:厚み25μmのPCフィルム
基材、オーバーレイ層を順に積層し積層構造物を得た後、この積層構造物を温度180℃で加熱加圧し、基材とオーバーレイ層の間を融着させること以外は参考例1-1、1-2、1-3、1-4と同様にして積層体を得た。
上記のようにして得られた積層体の密着性、環境配慮性および耐久性を以下のようにして評価した。
まず、基材とオーバーレイ層の間の平均剥離強度を測定した。当該平均剥離強度は、第1の実施形態にて説明した積層体の平均剥離強度の測定方法により測定された。次に、測定した平均剥離強度を以下の基準により評価した。評価結果を表1に示す。
◎:基材とオーバーレイ層の間の平均剥離強度が5.0N/cm以上である。
〇:基材とオーバーレイ層の間の平均剥離強度が3.5N/cm以上である。
×:基材とオーバーレイ層の間の平均剥離強度が3.5N/cm未満である。
積層体の環境配慮性を以下の基準により評価した。評価結果を表1に示す。
〇:不充分な設備で積層体を処理したときに有害物質(特にダイオキシン)が発生する可能性がない。
×:不充分な設備で積層体を処理したときに有害物質(特にダイオキシン)が発生する可能性がある。
積層体の耐久性を以下の基準により評価した。評価結果を表1に示す。
〇:加熱後の外観変化(反り)を生じない場合
×:加熱後の外観変化(反り)を生じた場合
基材-オーバーレイ層間を熱硬化性樹脂または融着により貼り合わせることで、良好な密着性を得ることができる。
密着性の向上の観点からすると、基材-オーバーレイ層間を融着により貼り合わせることが好ましい。
環境配慮性の観点から、基材およびオーバーレイ層として、PCフィルムまたはPETフィルムを用いることが好ましい。
耐久性の向上の観点から、基材およびオーバーレイ層として、PCフィルムまたはPVCフィルムを用いることが好ましい。
環境配慮性および耐久性の向上の観点から、基材およびオーバーレイ層として、PCフィルムを用いることが好ましい。
まず、表2に示す各層を積層することにより、図15に示す層構成を有する記録媒体を作製した。次に、基材とオーバーレイ層の間に記録媒体を挟むこと以外は参考例2-1と同様にして積層体を得た。なお、基材、中間層およびオーバーレイ層の積層後の加熱加圧プロセスによって、記録媒体の界面も貼り合わされた。
表3に示す各層を積層することにより、図22に示す層構成を有する記録媒体を作製すること以外は実施例1と同様にして積層体を得た。
表3に示す各層を積層することにより、図17に示す層構成を有する記録媒体を作製すること以外は実施例1と同様にして積層体を得た。
表3に示す各層を積層することにより、図18に示す層構成を有する記録媒体を作製すること以外は実施例1と同様にして積層体を得た。
表4に示す各層を積層することにより、図19に示す層構成を有する記録媒体を作製すること以外は実施例1と同様にして積層体を得た。
表4に示す各層を積層することにより、図20に示す層構成を有する記録媒体を作製すること以外は実施例1と同様にして積層体を得た。
表4に示す各層を積層することにより、図19に示す層構成を有する記録媒体を作製すること以外は実施例1と同様にして積層体を得た。
表4に示す各層を積層することにより、図21に示す層構成を有する記録媒体を作製すること以外は実施例1と同様にして積層体を得た。
上記のようにして得られた積層体の密着性および耐久性を以下のようにして評価した。
まず、積層体の各層間の平均剥離強度を測定した。当該平均剥離強度は、第1の実施形態にて説明した積層体の平均剥離強度の測定方法により測定された。次に、測定した平均剥離強度を以下の基準により評価した。積層体の各層間の平均剥離強度のうち、最も低い平均剥離強度を表2、表3および表4に示す。また、平均剥離強度が最も低い界面の位置を表2、表3および表4に示す。
〇:各層間の平均剥離強度がいずれも3.5N/cm以上である。
×:各層間の平均剥離強度のうち少なくとも1つが3.5N/cm未満である。
積層体の偽造防止性を以下の基準により評価した。
〇:以下の条件(1)および条件(2)のうちの少なくとも一方を満たす。
×:以下の条件(1)および条件(2)のいずも満たさない。
条件(1):積層体の各層間の平均剥離強度がいずれも、3.5N/cm以上である。
条件(2):平均剥離強度が最も低い界面が、発色層と発色層の間に位置する。
まず、分光測色・濃度計のeXact(エックスライト社製)を用いて積層体の最大発色ODを測定した。次に、以下の基準で発色性を評価した。評価結果を表2、表3および表4に示す。
〇:最大発色ODが1.0以上である。人物描画をした際に人物が認識できるODの値1.0を基準とする。
×:最大発色ODが1.0未満である。OD値が1.0未満であると、人物描画をした際に人物が認識し難くなる。
まず、分光測色・濃度計であるeXactを用い、加熱前後の記録媒体における各発色部と未発色部のa*b*を測定し色域の算出を行った。加熱前後の色域から加熱後の色域保持率を求めた。次に、以下の基準で加熱後の色域保持率を評価した。評価結果を表2、表3および表4に示す。
〇:加熱後の色域保持率が80%以上である。
×:加熱後の色域保持率が80%未満である。
なお、色域保持率が80%以上であると、人物を描画した際に人物の色表現が十分である。

易接着処理PET:易接着処理が施されたPETフィルム(三菱ケミカル株式会社製、ダイアホイル(登録商標))
OCA:Optical Clear Adhesive
UVレジン:紫外線硬化性樹脂層(ハードコート用のアクリル系樹脂層)
マトリックスポリマー層:隣接する発色層に含まれるマトリックスポリマーと同一種類のポリマーにより構成された樹脂層(具体的にはポリカーボネート系樹脂層)
発色層Y1:イエロー発色のロイコ色素、顕色剤およびポリカーボネート系樹脂を含み、発色層中におけるポリカーボネート系樹脂の含有率が質量58%である発色層
発色層Y2:イエロー発色のロイコ色素、顕色剤およびポリカーボネート系樹脂を含み、発色層中におけるポリカーボネート系樹脂の含有率が質量68%である発色層
発色層C1:シアン発色のロイコ色素、顕色剤およびポリカーボネート系樹脂を含み、発色層中におけるポリカーボネート系樹脂の含有率が質量65%である発色層
発色層C2:シアン発色のロイコ色素、顕色剤およびポリカーボネート系樹脂を含み、発色層中におけるポリカーボネート系樹脂の含有率が質量75%である発色層
発色層M1:マゼンタ発色のロイコ色素、顕色剤およびポリカーボネート系樹脂を含み、発色層中におけるポリカーボネート系樹脂の含有率が質量58%である発色層
発色層M2:マゼンタ発色のロイコ色素、顕色剤およびポリカーボネート系樹脂を含み、発色層中におけるポリカーボネート系樹脂の含有率が質量68%である発色層
発色層間の中間層がマトリックスポリマー層、紫外線硬化性樹脂層および粘着剤層により構成されていると、発色層と中間層の間の密着性を向上させることができる(実施例5の評価結果参照)。
発色層間の中間層が粘着剤層、紫外線硬化性樹脂層および粘着剤層により構成されていると、発色層と中間層の間の密着性を向上させることができる(実施例6、10の評価結果参照)。
発色層間の中間層がマトリックスポリマー層およびフィルムにより構成されていると、発色層と中間層の間の密着性を向上させることができる(実施例8の評価結果参照)。
発色層間の中間層が易接着処理フィルムにより構成されていると、発色層と中間層の間の密着性を向上させることができる(実施例9、10の評価結果参照)。
厚み25μmのPCフィルム、厚み5μmのポリカーボネート系樹脂含有層、厚み25μmのPCフィルムを積層した後、温度180℃で加熱加圧し、融着させることにより、サンプルを得た。ポリカーボネート系樹脂含有層としては、表5に示す組成を有するものを使用した。
まず、サンプルの各層間の平均剥離強度を測定した。当該平均剥離強度は、第1の実施形態にて説明した積層体の平均剥離強度の測定方法により測定された。次に、測定した平均剥離強度を以下の基準により評価した。
〇:各層間の平均剥離強度がいずれも3.5N/cm以上である。
×:各層間の平均剥離強度のうち少なくとも1つが3.5N/cm未満である。
評価結果を表5および図27に示す。なお、表5に記載の平均剥離強度は、ポリカーボネート系樹脂含有層とPCフィルムの間の平均剥離強度を表す。

Claims (17)
- 複数の発色層と、
少なくとも一つの拡散抑制層と
を備え、
前記発色層は、電子供与性を有する呈色性化合物と、電子受容性を有する顕色剤と、マトリックス樹脂とを含み、
前記拡散抑制層は、隣接する前記発色層の間に設けられ、
前記拡散抑制層は、記録媒体を加熱した際に、隣接する前記発色層の間の前記呈色性化合物の拡散を抑制することができる記録媒体。 - 少なくとも一つの粘着剤層をさらに備え、
前記粘着剤層は、前記拡散抑制層と前記発色層の間に設けられている請求項1に記載の記録媒体。 - 前記記録媒体の各層間の平均剥離強度は、3.5N/cm以上である請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 隣接する前記発色層の間の平均剥離強度は、3.5N/cm未満である請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記マトリックス樹脂は、ポリカーボネート系樹脂を含む請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記加熱の温度は、120℃以上200℃以下である請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記加熱の温度は、160℃以上200℃以下である請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記拡散抑制層は、温度23±1℃、相対湿度50±5%の標準状態の雰囲気中にタック性を有していない樹脂層である請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記拡散抑制層のヤング率は、100MPa以上である請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記拡散抑制層のヤング率は、2000MPa以上である請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記拡散抑制層は、鉛筆硬度がF以上である樹脂層である請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記拡散抑制層は、ガラス転移温度が130℃以上である請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記拡散抑制層は、非晶性樹脂を含む請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記拡散抑制層は、結晶性樹脂を含む請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
- 前記拡散抑制層は、紫外線硬化樹脂を含む請求項1に記載の記録媒体。
