Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of emergency sound system for general vehicle and motorcycle.
- an emergency alert system designed for vehicles and motorcycles can not only alert the surrounding passers-by to dodge when emergency happens (e.g. the occurrence of losing control due to tire slip, locking and brake system failure) , but also helps avoiding or easing a crash between vehicles.
- the object of the invention is to provide Emergency sound system for general vehicle and motorcycle.
- An emergency sound system for general vehicle and motorcycle comprising
- the group of sensors comprises a velometer that detects the rotating speed of the wheel rims and a gyroscope sensor that detects the synchronization rate of a pair of wheels and/or detects whether the pair of wheels are completely locked,
- the velometer transfers the detected data to the control module and wherein
- the sound system is triggered incase the object value of the detected data reaches a predetermined threshold value.
- the emergency sound system may comprise a second gyroscope sensor in the control module.
- the second gyroscope sensor detects the movement of the vehicle and triggers the sound when the wheel data is in unusual status, while the car is moving or the second gyroscope sensor detects the balancing of the motorcycle and triggers the sound when the data exceeds the predetermined value.
- the velometer may transfer the detected data to the control module via Bluetooth technology.
- the sound system may be placed in the engine room or chassis of the vehicle.
- the system may be made of a waterproof and high temperature resisting material.
- the system may be powered through the power device of the vehicle.
- the sound system may make a specific alert sound with not louder than 130 dB.
- the system of other vehicles positioned within a predetermined range can be automatically activated.
- the activation may be realized via over-the-air technology.
- FIG 1 shows schematically a 3-dimensional view of the emergency sound system for general vehicle
- FIG 2 shows schematically how the emergency sound system for general vehicle applies
- FIG 3 shows schematically the structure of the emergency sound system for general vehicle
- FIG 4 shows schematically the structure of the emergency sound system for general motorcycle
- FIG 5-9 show schematically applying scenarios of the emergency sound system for general vehicle and motorcycle
- FIG 10 shows schematically a vehicle-to-vehicle communication of the emergency sound systems mounted on different vehicles.
- Fig. 1 to 3 show an emergency sound system according to the present invention.
- an emergency sound system for general vehicle comprises a gyroscope sensor 4 that is placed on a special designed nut 3 and a velometer (not shown) that detects the rotating speed of the wheel rims.
- the gyroscope sensor 4 detects the synchronization rate of a pair of wheels and/or detects whether the pair of wheels are completely locked.
- the system further comprises a plurality of sound devices 2 that are positioned in different places of the vehicle 1, such as the trunk, the engine room and the chassis.
- the sound device makes an alerting sound of not more than 130 dB to alert the passers-by or vehicles of the surrounding environment.
- the system further comprises a control module 8.
- the control module 8 receives the detected data of the plurality sensors 5 via Bluetooth technology. In case the object value of the detected data reaches a predetermined threshold value, the control module 8 controls the plurality of sound devices 2 to make the sound.
- the system may further comprise a second gyroscope sensor (not shown) in the control module 8 that detects the movement of the vehicle and triggers the sound when the wheel data is in unusual status, while the car is moving.
- a second gyroscope sensor (not shown) in the control module 8 that detects the movement of the vehicle and triggers the sound when the wheel data is in unusual status, while the car is moving.
- the emergency sound system of other vehicles 7 within a predetermined distance to the object vehicle 1 can respond to the object vehicle 1 and makes sound.
- Fig. 4 shows the emergency sound system according to the invention mounted on a motorcycle 9.
- the above description regarding the emergency sound system applies to the emergency sound system for a motorcycle 9.
- the system may further comprise a second gyroscope sensor (not shown) in the control module 8 that detects the balancing of the motorcycle and triggers the sound when the data exceeds the predetermined value. If the motorcycle falls when the data is within the safe range, the sound system is triggered.
- a second gyroscope sensor (not shown) in the control module 8 that detects the balancing of the motorcycle and triggers the sound when the data exceeds the predetermined value. If the motorcycle falls when the data is within the safe range, the sound system is triggered.
- Fig. 5-9 show different situations whereas the system according to the present invention comes to effect.
- Fig. 5 shows an applying scenario in an uneven or sunken road surface. Even if the road surface is completely dry, there will also be defects left by the long-term use of large vehicles. The uneven road surface will greatly affect the stability of the vehicle. When passing this type of road surface at a certain speed, the vehicle will often be slightly thrown up off the ground and then lands on the surface, during which the instability of the tire will increase, which increases the chance of losing control.
- Fig. 6 shows an applying scenario in wet roads in a rain. Similar to situation 2, but with a regional incidence and scope. When the steering Angle is too large, there is an increased chance of losing grip on a wet road, as well as an increase in out-of-control travel distance.
- Fig. 7 shows an applying scenario in hydroplaning in rain.
- Large area of water is often accumulated at the position of the uneven road in heavy rain, resulting in a rapid complete grip loss of tires.
- Vehicles with potential anti-slipping issues have greater chance to slip out of control in a straight road. Curves will be more dangerous when hydroplaning occurs.
- Fig. 8 shows an applying scenario with oil stains on dry roads.
- Fig. 9 shows an applying scenario on a black ice road.
- Black ice roads caused by extreme weather can be dangerous. Under this condition, the road surface is covered with a transparent layer of ice. Braking or steering, or even accelerating, will not change the dynamics of the vehicle, so the vehicle will be completely out of control and will have a long glide distance.
- the vehicle may have glided or rotated for as long as the driver can react (i.e. the vehicle glides laterally by more than 45 degrees) .
- the critical situation is no longer easily corrected by the steering wheel and the driver must brake.
- the braking action combined with the Angle of the vehicle itself can possibly lock the tire, at which time the emergency sound system according to the present invention comes into play to warn the surrounding people to make a reaction, e.g. moving away from the road or dodging.
- the activating conditions of the present invention comprise at least the following two factors: Firstly, the different synchronicity of rotating speed and secondly, the reduced performance of the traction control system since the rotating speed is different or due to other unstable road surface factors.
- the control module activates the sound system to alert the surrounding passers-by or vehicles.
- the sound according to the present invention clearly informs the surrounding passers-by or vehicles of a message (it is an out-of-control vehicle) and has a certain coverage range (e.g. the traditional emergency vehicle can emit the sound of MAX 135dB within 30 meters) .
- control modules according to the present invention that mounted on different vehicles communicate with each other via a Bluetooth system (considering that version 5.0 released in 2016 can cover a transmission distance of 300 meters) , and the out-of-control vehicle can determine the signal coverage range according to its current speed (for example, vehicles within 100 meters need to be notified at 50 MPH, and 300 meters need to be communicated above 90 MPH) .
- the target is to achieve an “effect of wolfs” to alert the surrounding passers-by or the vehicles. When road users hear this warning, they will remind themselves that accidents may happen around them, so as to continuously educate drivers to drive their vehicles more safely and carefully.
- the "universality” of the invention focuses on the “coverage range” .
- Data is collected by a newly designed sensor (mainly placed on the special designed nuts of the wheels to detect the dynamic data of the tire) , and the sensor is adjusted to a common use on the traditional special designed nuts by this design.
- the present invention not only support the development of individual vehicles, but also covers all kinds of models of vehicles.
- the installation of the emergency sound system does not affect any other original sensors or data of the board computer, which enhances its universality, so as to cover different models of vehicles on the road.
- alerted objects are not only the drivers, but also all the people on the road, e.g. passers-by, people working on road, walkers, coffee-drinker, sight viewers or people entering the roadside shops, which allows them to react and seek shelter, and roadside animals (e.g. wildlife on suburban roads) .
