Description

検査用コネクタ
 本発明は、高周波信号の測定に用いられる検査用コネクタに関する。
 従来の検査用コネクタに関する発明としては、例えば、特許文献1に記載のプローブが知られている。特許文献1に記載のプローブは、中心導体、外筒、第1ブッシュ及び第2ブッシュを備えている。外筒は、上下方向に延びる中心軸線を有する円筒形状を有している。中心導体は、外筒内において上下方向に延びている。第1ブッシュは、外筒の下端近傍に設けられている。第1ブッシュは、外筒に支持されていると共に、中心導体を支持している。第2ブッシュは、外筒の上端近傍に設けられている。第2ブッシュは、外筒に支持されていると共に、中止導体を支持している。これにより、外筒と中心導体とが絶縁されている。中心導体には、高周波信号が印加される。外筒は、接地電位に接続される。
国際公開第2016/72193号公報
 ところで、特許文献1に記載のプローブでは、プローブの小型化を図ることが難しい。より詳細には、第2ブッシュは、外筒の上端近傍に設けられている。第2ブッシュは、外筒に支持されていると共に、中心導体を支持している。そのため、外筒と中心導体との間には、空気の誘電率より大きな誘電率を有する第2ブッシュが設けられている。そのため、外筒と中心導体との間の容量が増加しやすい。従って、プローブの小型化のために外筒を細くすると、外筒と中心導体との間に大きな容量が形成される。その結果、中心導体に発生する特性インピーダンスの所定の特性インピーダンス(例えば、50Ω)に対するずれが増大する可能性がある。以上のように、特許文献1に記載のプローブでは、外筒を細くすることが難しいので、プローブの小型化を図ることが難しい。
 そこで、本発明の目的は、検査用コネクタの小型化を図ることができる検査用コネクタを提供することである。
 本発明の一形態に係る検査用コネクタは、
 中心導体と、前記中心導体の周囲を囲む外部導体と、前記中心導体と前記外部導体とを絶縁する絶縁体と、前記外部導体の周囲を囲む被覆と、を備える同軸ケーブルの端部に接続される検査用コネクタであって、
 前記検査用コネクタは、1以上のプローブを備えており、
 前記1以上のプローブのそれぞれは、
 前記外部導体に電気的に接続されるバレルであって、上下方向に延びる筒形状を有しているバレルと、
 前記中心導体に電気的に接続されように、前記中心導体に固定されており、かつ、前記バレル内に位置しているソケットと、
 前記ソケットに電気的に接続されように、前記ソケットに固定されており、かつ、前記ソケットから下方向に延びている信号ピンであって、前記信号ピンの少なくとも一部は、前記バレル内に位置している、信号ピンと、
 前記ソケットの上端と前記信号ピンの下端との上下方向における中央より下に設けられ、かつ、前記バレルに支持されると共に前記信号ピンを支持する絶縁性支持部材と、
 を含んでおり、
 前記同軸ケーブルの端部が、前記バレルの上端から前記バレル内に挿入されていることにより、前記外部導体又は前記被覆の少なくとも一方が、前記バレルに固定されており、
 前記ソケットと前記バレルとの間に前記ソケットに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない。
 以下に、本明細書における用語の定義について説明する。本明細書において、前後方向に延びる軸や部材は、必ずしも前後方向と平行である軸や部材だけを示すものではない。前後方向に延びる軸や部材とは、前後方向に対して±45°の範囲で傾斜している軸や部材のことである。同様に、上下方向に延びる軸や部材とは、上下方向に対して±45°の範囲で傾斜している軸や部材のことである。左右方向に延びる軸や部材とは、左右方向に対して±45°の範囲で傾斜している軸や部材のことである。
 以下に、本明細書における部材の位置関係について定義する。第1部材ないし第3部材は、検査用ユニットの構成である。本明細書において、前後方向に並ぶ第1部材及び第2部材とは、以下の状態を示す。前後方向に垂直な方向に第1部材及び第2部材を見たときに、第1部材及び第2部材の両方が前後方向を示す任意の直線上に配置されている状態である。本明細書において、上下方向に見たときに前後方向に並ぶ第1部材及び第2部材とは、以下の状態を示す。上下方向に第1部材及び第2部材を見たときに、第1部材及び第2部材の両方が前後方向を示す任意の直線上に配置されている。この場合、上下方向とは異なる左右方向から第1部材及び第2部材を見ると、第1部材及び第2部材のいずれか一方が前後方向を示す任意の直線上に配置されていなくてもよい。なお、第1部材と第2部材とが接触していてもよい。第1部材と第2部材とが離れていてもよい。第1部材と第2部材との間に第3部材が存在していてもよい。この定義は、前後方向以外の方向にも適用される。
 本明細書において、第1部材が第2部材の上に配置されるとは、以下の状態を指す。第1部材の少なくとも一部は、第2部材の真上に位置している。従って、上下方向に見て、第1部材は、第2部材と重なっている。この定義は、上下方向以外の方向にも適用される。
 本明細書において、第1部材が第2部材より上に配置されるとは、第1部材の少なくとも一部が第2部材の真上に位置している場合、及び、第1部材が第2部材の真上に位置せずに第1部材が第2部材の斜め上に位置している場合を含む。この場合、上下方向に見て、第1部材は、第2部材と重なっていなくてもよい。斜め上とは、例えば、左上、右上である。この定義は、上下方向以外の方向にも適用される。
 本明細書において、特に断りのない場合には、第1部材の各部について以下のように定義する。第1部材の前部とは、第1部材の前半分を意味する。第1部材の後部とは、第1部材の後半分を意味する。第1部材の左部とは、第1部材の左半分を意味する。第1部材の右部とは、第1部材の右半分を意味する。第1部材の上部とは、第1部材の上半分を意味する。第1部材の下部とは、第1部材の下半分を意味する。第1部材の前端とは、第1部材の前方向の端を意味する。第1部材の後端とは、第1部材の後方向の端を意味する。第1部材の左端とは、第1部材の左方向の端を意味する。第1部材の右端とは、第1部材の右方向の端を意味する。第1部材の上端とは、第1部材の上方向の端を意味する。第1部材の下端とは、第1部材の下方向の端を意味する。第1部材の前端部とは、第1部材の前端及びその近傍を意味する。第1部材の後端部とは、第1部材の後端及びその近傍を意味する。第1部材の左端部とは、第1部材の左端及びその近傍を意味する。第1部材の右端部とは、第1部材の右端及びその近傍を意味する。第1部材の上端部とは、第1部材の上端及びその近傍を意味する。第1部材の下端部とは、第1部材の下端及びその近傍を意味する。
 本明細書における任意の2つの部材を第1部材及び第2部材と定義した場合、任意の2つの部材の関係は以下のような意味になる。本明細書において、第1部材が第2部材に支持されているとは、第1部材が第2部材に対して移動不可能に第2部材に取り付けられている(すなわち、固定されている)場合、及び、第1部材が第2部材に対して移動可能に第2部材に取り付けられている場合を含む。また、第1部材が第2部材に支持されているとは、第1部材が第2部材に直接に取り付けられている場合、及び、第1部材が第3部材を介して第2部材に取り付けられている場合の両方を含む。
 本明細書において、第1部材が第2部材に保持されているとは、第1部材が第2部材に対して移動不可能に第2部材に取り付けられている(すなわち、固定されている)場合を含み、第1部材が第2部材に対して移動可能に第2部材に取り付けられている場合を含まない。また、第1部材が第2部材に保持されているとは、第1部材が第2部材に直接に取り付けられている場合、及び、第1部材が第3部材を介して第2部材に取り付けられている場合の両方を含む。
 本明細書において、「第1部材と第2部材とが電気的に接続される」とは、第1部材と第2部材との間で電気が導通していることを意味する。従って、第1部材と第2部材とが接触していてもよいし、第1部材と第2部材とが接触していなくてもよい。第1部材と第2部材とが接触していない場合には、第1部材と第2部材との間に導電性を有する第3部材が配置されている。
 本発明に係る検査用コネクタによれば、検査用コネクタの小型化を図ることができる。

(実施形態)
[検査用ユニットの構造]
 以下に、本発明の実施形態に係る検査用ユニット10の構造について図面を参照しながら説明する。図1は、検査用ユニット10の背面図である。図2及び図3は、検査用コネクタ100の断面図である。図4は、プローブ120a~120eの分解斜視図である。
 図1ないし図4に示すように、プローブ120a~120eが延びる方向を上下方向と定義する。プローブ120a~120eが並ぶ方向を左右方向と定義する。左右方向は、上下方向と直交している。前後方向は、上下方向及び左右方向に直交している。なお、上下方向、左右方向及び前後方向は、説明の便宜上定義した方向である。従って、上下方向、左右方向及び前後方向は、検査用ユニット10の使用時の上下方向、左右方向及び前後方向と一致していなくてもよい。
 検査用ユニット10は、電子機器内を伝送される高周波信号の測定に用いられる。検査用ユニット10は、図1に示すように、検査用コネクタ100、外部接続用コネクタ200a~200e及び同軸ケーブル202a~202eを備えている。外部接続用コネクタ200a~200eは、図示しない測定機器に接続される。外部接続用コネクタ200a~200eの構造は一般的な構造であるので説明を省略する。
 同軸ケーブル202a~202eのそれぞれは、検査用コネクタ100と外部接続用コネクタ200a~200eとを電気的に接続している。同軸ケーブル202a~202eは、左から右へとこの順に一列に並んでいる。同軸ケーブル202a~202eは、同じ構造を有する。同軸ケーブル202aの構造を例に挙げて説明する。
 同軸ケーブル202aは、図3及び図4に示すように、中心導体204a、外部導体206a、絶縁体208a及び被覆210aを備えている。中心導体204aは、同軸ケーブル202aの芯線である。従って、中心導体204aは、同軸ケーブル202aの中心に位置している。中心導体204aは、低い抵抗値を有する導体により作製されている。中心導体204aは、例えば、銅により作製されている。
 外部導体206aは、中心導体204aの周囲を囲んでいる。従って、外部導体206aは、同軸ケーブル202aが延びる方向に直交する断面において、円環形状を有している。このような外部導体206aは、例えば、細い導線が編まれることにより作製されている。外部導体206aは、低い抵抗値を有する導体により作製されている。外部導体206aは、例えば、銅により作製されている。
 絶縁体208aは、中心導体204aと外部導体206aとを絶縁している。絶縁体208aは、中心導体204aと外部導体206aとの間に位置している。絶縁体208aは、中心導体204aの周囲を囲んでいる。絶縁体208aの周囲は、外部導体206aにより囲まれている。絶縁体208aは、同軸ケーブル202aが延びる方向に直交する断面において、円環形状を有している。絶縁体208aは、絶縁性を有する樹脂により作製されている。絶縁体208aは、例えば、ポリエチレンにより作製されている。また、同軸ケーブル202aがしなやかに変形できるように、絶縁体208aには複数の孔が設けられている。
 被覆210aは、外部導体206aの周囲を囲んでいる。従って、被覆210aは、同軸ケーブル202aが延びる方向に直交する断面において、円環形状を有している。被覆210aは、絶縁性を有する樹脂により作製されている。被覆210aは、例えば、ポリエチレンにより作製されている。ただし、被覆210aには、複数の孔が設けられていない、又は、絶縁体208aより少ない孔が設けられている。そのため、被覆210aは、絶縁体208aより変形しにくい。従って、被覆210aのヤング率は、絶縁体208aのヤング率より大きい。
 同軸ケーブル202aの下端部では、外部導体206a、絶縁体208a及び被覆210aが除去されることにより、中心導体204aが、同軸ケーブル202aから露出している。また、中心導体204aが露出している部分より上において被覆210aが除去されることにより、外部導体206aが、同軸ケーブル202aから露出している。
 検査用コネクタ100は、同軸ケーブル202a~202eの端部に接続されている。本実施形態では、検査用コネクタ100は、同軸ケーブル202a~202eの下端部に接続されている。検査用コネクタ100は、図2及び図3に示すように、プランジャ102、ハウジング104、フランジ106、スプリング108、スペーサ109及びプローブ120a~120eを備えている。
 プローブ120a~120eは、上下方向に延びる棒形状を有している。プローブ120a~120eは、左から右へとこの順に一列に並んでいる。プローブ120a~120eは同じ構造を有しているので、以下では、プローブ120aの構造を例に挙げて説明する。
 プローブ120aは、図3及び図4に示すように、ソケット130a、バレル132a、信号ピン134a及び絶縁性支持部材136aを含んでいる。
 バレル132aは、外部導体206aに電気的に接続されている。ただし、バレル132aはそれぞれ、中心導体204aに電気的に接続されていない。バレル132aは、上下方向に延びる筒形状を有している。本実施形態では、バレル132aは、上下方向に延びる中心軸線を有する円筒形状を有している。バレル132aの上端及び下端は、開口している。
 バレル132aは、バレル上部132aU及びバレル下部132aDを含んでいる。バレル上部132aUは、バレル下部132aDの上に位置している。バレル上部132aUの内周面の直径は、バレル下部132aDの内周面の直径と同じである。バレル上部132aUの外周面の直径は、バレル下部132aDの外周面の直径より大きい。これにより、バレル上部132aUの板厚d1は、バレル下部132aDの板厚d2より大きい。以上のような構造を有するバレル132aは、例えば、黄銅により作製されている。
 同軸ケーブル202aの下端部(端部の一例)が、バレル132aの上端からバレル132a内に挿入されていることにより、外部導体206a又は被覆210aの少なくとも一方が、バレル132aに固定されている。外部導体206aは、バレル132aの内周面に接触している。そして、外部導体206aは、半田によりバレル132aに固定されている。これにより、外部導体206aは、バレル132aに電気的に接続されている。その結果、バレル132aは、グランド電位に接続されている。また、本実施形態では、同軸ケーブル202aの被覆210aも、バレル132aに固定されている。
 ソケット130aは、中心導体204aに電気的に接続されるように、中心導体204aに固定されている。具体的には、ソケット130aは、円筒形状を有している。ソケット130aの上端は、開口している。中心導体204aの下端部は、ソケット130aの上端からソケット130a内に挿入されている。そして、ソケット130aは、半田により中心導体204aに固定されている。ただし、ソケット130aはそれぞれ、外部導体206aに電気的に接続されていない。
 また、ソケット130aは、バレル132a内に位置している。これにより、ソケット130aは、上下方向に見て、バレル132aにより囲まれている。以上のような構造を有するソケット130aは、例えば、黄銅により作製されている。
 信号ピン134aは、比較的に高い周波数を有する高周波信号が印加される端子である。比較的に高い周波数を有する高周波信号は、例えば、0.3GHz~0.3THzの周波数を有するミリ波信号やマイクロ波信号である。信号ピン134aは、上下方向に延びる棒状部材である。信号ピン134aは、ソケット130aに電気的に接続されように、ソケット130aに固定されている。信号ピン134aの上端は、ソケット130aの下端に固定されている。信号ピン134aがソケット130aと異なる部材により作製され、かつ、信号ピン134aがソケット130aに移動できないように取り付けられていてもよい。また、信号ピン134aとソケット130aとが一つの部材により作製されていてもよい。信号ピン134aとソケット130aとが一つの部材により作製されている場合、信号ピン134aとソケット130aとの境界は、例えば、中心導体204aの下端である。
 信号ピン134aは、バレル132a内においてソケット130aから下方向に延びている。そして、信号ピン134aの少なくとも一部は、バレル132a内に位置している。本実施形態では、信号ピン134aの大部分は、バレル132a内に位置している。ただし、信号ピン134aの下端部は、バレル132aから下方向に突出している。
 信号ピン134aは、筒部1202a、下ピン1204a及びスプリング1208aを含んでいる。筒部1202aは、上下方向に延びる筒形状を有している。本実施形態では、筒部1202aは、上下方向に延びる中心軸線を有する円筒形状を有している。筒部1202aの上端は開口していない。筒部1202aの下端は開口している。筒部1202aの下端部の直径は、筒部1202aの残余の部分の直径より小さい。すなわち、筒部1202aは、筒部1202aの下端部が少し絞られた形状を有している。
 下ピン1204aは、上下方向に延びる棒状部材である。下ピン1204aの上部は、筒部1202aの内部に位置している。下ピン1204aの下部は、筒部1202aから下方向に突出している。ただし、下ピン1204aの上部の直径は、下ピン1204aの下部の直径より大きい。これにより、下ピン1204aは、筒部1202aの下端の開口を下方向に通過することができない。
 スプリング1208aは、筒部1202a内に設けられている。スプリング1208aの下端は、下ピン1204aの上端に接触している。スプリング1208aの上端は、筒部1202aの内周面の上端に接触している。これにより、スプリング1208aは、下ピン1204aを下方向に押している。以上の構造を有する信号ピン134aは、スプリング1208aが上下方向に伸縮することにより、上下方向に伸縮することができる。以上のような信号ピン134aは、例えば、黄銅により作製されている。
 絶縁性支持部材136aは、ソケット130aの上端と信号ピン134aの下端との上下方向における中央Cより下に設けられている。中央Cは、ソケット130aの上端と信号ピン134aの下端との中点である。そのため、絶縁性支持部材136aは、バレル下部132aDに位置している。そして、絶縁性支持部材136aは、バレル132aに支持されると共に信号ピン134aを支持している。より詳細には、絶縁性支持部材136aは、上下方向に延びる中心軸線を有する円筒形状を有している。絶縁性支持部材136aの中心軸線は、バレル132aの中心軸線と一致する。絶縁性支持部材136aは、バレル132a内においてバレル132aの下端部に配置されている。そして、信号ピン134aは、絶縁性支持部材136a内において上下方向に延びている。このような絶縁性支持部材136aは、絶縁性を有する樹脂により作製されている。絶縁性支持部材136aは、例えば、エポキシ樹脂により作製されている。これにより、バレル132aは、信号ピン134aと絶縁されている。
 プランジャ102は、図2に示すように、バレル132a~132eに電気的に接続されている。プランジャ102は、バレル132a~132eを支持している。より詳細には、プランジャ102は、円筒形状と四角柱形状とが組み合わされた形状を有している。プランジャ102の上部は、上下方向に延びる中心軸線を有する円筒形状を有している。プランジャ102の下部は、四角柱形状を有している。プランジャ102の下部には、上下方向に延びる貫通孔Ha~Heが設けられている。貫通孔Ha~Heは、左から右へとこの順に並んでいる。プローブ120a~120eは、貫通孔Ha~Heに挿入されている。これにより、バレル132a~132eのそれぞれは、貫通孔Ha~Heの内周面に接触する。以上のようなプランジャ102は、グランド電位に接続されている。プランジャ102は、導電性の高い金属により作製されている。プランジャ102は、例えば、SUSにより作製されている。
 ハウジング104は、図2に示すように、上下方向に延びる筒状部材である。ハウジング104には、上下方向に延びる貫通孔H2が設けられている。貫通孔H2は、ハウジング104の上端から下端までを貫通している。ハウジング104の下端部は、プランジャ102の上部に挿入されている。同軸ケーブル202a~202eは、ハウジング104の内部を上下方向に通過している。このようなハウジング104は、導電性の高い金属により作製されている。ハウジング104は、例えば、SUSにより作製されている。
 スペーサ109は、上下方向においてプランジャ102とハウジング104との間に配置されている。スペーサ109は、円板形状を有する。下方向に見たときに、スペーサ109には、左右方向に延びる1本のスリットが設けられている。同軸ケーブル202a~202eは、スリットを上下方向に通過している。これにより、スペーサ109は、同軸ケーブル202a~202eの前後方向及び左右方向における位置決めを行っている。このようなスペーサ109は、導電性の高い金属により作製されている。スペーサ109は、例えば、SUSにより作製されている。
 フランジ106は、板形状を有する部材である。フランジ106は、下方向に見たときに、長方形状を有する。フランジ106は、上下方向において、ハウジング104の上端部近傍に配置される。フランジ106には、上下方向に延びる貫通孔H3が設けられている。ハウジング104は、貫通孔H3内を上下方向に通過している。ただし、ハウジング104の上端部の直径は、フランジ106の貫通孔H3の直径より大きい。そのため、ハウジング104は、貫通孔H3を下方向に向かって通過できない。このようなフランジ106は、導電性の高い金属により作製されている。フランジ106は、例えば、SUSにより作製されている。
 スプリング108は、フランジ106を上方向に押している。スプリング108は、プランジャ102を下方向に押している。より詳細には、スプリング108の上端は、フランジ106の下面に固定されている。スプリング108の下端は、プランジャ102の上端に固定されている。プランジャ102とハウジング104とは一体化されている。そのため、プランジャ102が上方向に押されると、スプリング108が縮んで、プランジャ102及びハウジング104がフランジ106に対して上方向に変位する。
 ところで、ソケット130a~130eとバレル132a~132eとの間にソケット130a~130eに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない。より詳細には、ソケット130a~130eは、上下方向に延びる中心軸線を有する円筒形状を有している。そして、ソケット130a~130eの側面に接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない。本実施形態では、ソケット130a~130eとバレル132a~132eとの間に絶縁性部材が全く存在しない。すなわち、ソケット130a~130eとバレル132a~132eとの間の空間には、空気のみが存在している。従って、ソケット130a~130eとバレル132a~132eとの間は、中空の状態である。
 なお、上記のように、ソケット130a~130eとバレル132a~132eとの間にソケット130a~130eに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しなければよい。従って、ソケット130a~130eの上端には、図3に示すように、絶縁体208a~208eが接触していてもよい。
 また、中心導体204a~204eの下端からスプリング1208a~1208eの上端までの区間A1において信号ピン134a~134e又はソケット130a~130eに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない。区間A1において信号ピン134a~134eの側面及びソケット130a~130eの側面に接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない。本実施形態では、区間A1において信号ピン134a~134e及びソケット130a~130eとバレル132a~132eとの間の空間には、空気のみが存在している。
 また、中心導体204aの下端からスプリング1208aの上端までの区間A2の上下方向における長さは、絶縁性支持部材136aの上端から下端までの区間A3の上下方向における長さより長い。
 なお、本実施形態では、中心導体204a~204eの下端から絶縁性支持部材136a~136eの上端までの区間A2において信号ピン134a~134e及びソケット130a~130eに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない。区間A2において信号ピン134a~134eの側面に接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない。本実施形態では、区間A2において信号ピン134a~134eとバレル132a~132eとの間の空間には、空気のみが存在している。
 次に、検査用ユニット10の使用方法について説明する。検査用ユニット10は、5個の信号端子を備えるコネクタに接続される。5個の信号端子からは、比較的に高い周波数を有する高周波信号が出力する。なお、コネクタは、5個以上の信号端子を備えていてもよい。
 検査用コネクタ100は、コネクタの上にセットされる。そして、検査用コネクタ100が下降させられる。これにより、信号ピン134a~134eのそれぞれは、コネクタの5個の信号端子に接触する。すなわち、信号ピン134a~134eのそれぞれには、比較的に高い周波数を有する高周波信号が印加される。この際、信号ピン134a~134eのそれぞれは、5個の信号端子により上方向に押される。そのため、信号ピン134a~134eは、プランジャ102に対して上方向に変位する。その結果、信号ピン134a~134eのそれぞれは、5個の信号端子を下方向に押しながら5個の信号端子に接触する。以上の動作により、検査用コネクタ100に接続された測定装置は、コネクタへの接続性を確保しながら、比較的に高い周波数を有する高周波信号を測定することができる。
[効果]
 検査用コネクタ100によれば、検査用コネクタ100の小型化を図ることができる。より詳細には、信号ピン134aは、ソケット130aに固定されている。これにより、信号ピン134a及びソケット130aは、1本の棒状部材を形成している。そして、絶縁性支持部材136aは、ソケット130aの上端部と信号ピン134aの下端部との上下方向における中央Cより下に設けられ、かつ、バレル132aに支持されると共に信号ピン134aを支持している。従って、ソケット130a及び信号ピン134aからなる棒状部材の下端部は、絶縁性支持部材136aによりバレル132aに固定されている。また、同軸ケーブル202aの端部が、バレル132aの上端からバレル132a内に挿入されていることにより、外部導体206aが、バレル132aに固定されている。これにより、ソケット130a及び信号ピン134aからなる棒状部材の上端部は、外部導体206aによりバレル132aに固定されている。以上のように、ソケット130a及び信号ピン134aからなる棒状部材の両端部は、絶縁性支持部材136a及び外部導体206aを介してバレル132aに固定されている。そのため、ソケット130a及び信号ピン134aからなる棒状部材の上端部をバレル132aに固定するための絶縁性部材が不要である。そこで、検査用コネクタ100では、ソケット130aとバレル132aとの間にソケット130aに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない。これにより、ソケット130aとバレル132aとの間の誘電率が高くなることが抑制され、ソケット130aとバレル132aとの間の容量が増加することが抑制される。従って、検査用コネクタ100の小型化のためにバレル132aを細くしても、信号ピン134aに発生する特性インピーダンスの所定の特性インピーダンスに対するずれが増大することが抑制される。以上より、検査用コネクタ100によれば、検査用コネクタ100の小型化を図ることができる。
 検査用コネクタ100によれば、バレル132aが絶縁性支持部材136aにより補強される。より詳細には、バレル上部132aUの板厚d1は、バレル下部132aDの板厚d2より大きい。そのため、バレル下部132aDの強度は、バレル上部132aUの強度より低い。そこで、絶縁性支持部材136aは、バレル下部132aDに位置している。これにより、バレル下部132aDが変形することが絶縁性支持部材136aにより抑制される。その結果、検査用コネクタ100によれば、バレル132aが絶縁性支持部材136aにより補強される。
 検査用コネクタ100によれば、区間A2におけるバレル132a~132eが細くなったとしても、区間A2において信号ピン134a~134eに発生する特性インピーダンスの所定の特性インピーダンスに対するずれが増大することが抑制される。より詳細には、区間A2において信号ピン134a~134e又はソケット130a~130eに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない。すなわち、信号ピン134a~134e及びソケット130a~130eは、区間A2において空気に囲まれている。これにより、区間A2においてソケット130aとバレル132aとの間の誘電率が高くなることが抑制され、区間A2においてソケット130aとバレル132aとの間の容量が増加することが抑制される。従って、区間A2におけるバレル132aを細くしても、区間A2において信号ピン134aに発生する特性インピーダンスの所定の特性インピーダンスに対するずれが増大することが抑制される。
 検査用コネクタ100によれば、検査用コネクタ100の反射損失が低減されるので、検査用コネクタ100の通信効率が向上する。図5は、検査用コネクタ100の反射損失とL2/L3との関係を示したグラフである。L2は、区間A2の上下方向における長さである。L3は、区間A3の上下方向における長さである。図5の実験では、20GHzの周波数を有する高周波信号の反射損失を調べた。
 また、図5によれば、L2/L3が1以上であれば、検査用コネクタ100の反射損失が低減されて、検査用コネクタ100の通信効率が向上する。
(その他の実施形態)
 本発明に係る検査用コネクタは、前記実施形態に係る検査用コネクタ100に限らず、その要旨の範囲内において変更可能である。
 なお、検査用コネクタ100において、プローブの数は5本に限らない。プローブの数は、1本以上4本以下であってもよいし、6本以上であってもよい。
 なお、検査用コネクタ100において、信号ピン134a~134eは、上下方向に伸縮可能な構造を有していなくてもよい。
 なお、検査用コネクタ100において、プランジャ102、ハウジング104、フランジ106、スプリング108及びスペーサ109は、必須の構成ではない。
 なお、検査用コネクタ100において、バレル上部132aUの板厚d1とバレル下部132aDの板厚d2とは等しくてもよい。また、バレル上部132aUの板厚d1がバレル下部132aDの板厚d2より小さくてもよい。
 なお、検査用コネクタ100において、バレル132a~132eの断面形状は、円に限らない。バレル132a~132eの断面形状は、多角形でもよい。
 なお、検査用コネクタ100において、被覆210aは、バレル132aに固定されていなくてもよい。この場合、被覆210aは、バレル132a内に位置していない。
 なお、検査用コネクタ100において、ソケット130a~130eとバレル132a~132eとの間にソケット130a~130eに接触しない絶縁性部材が存在してもよい。
 なお、検査用コネクタ100において、外部導体206a又は被覆210aの少なくとも一方が、バレル132aに固定されていればよい。従って、外部導体206aがバレル132aに固定され、かつ、被覆210aがバレル132aに固定されていなくてもよい。外部導体206aがバレル132aに固定されず、かつ、被覆210aがバレル132aに固定されていてもよい。

Claims (6)

  1.  中心導体と、前記中心導体の周囲を囲む外部導体と、前記中心導体と前記外部導体とを絶縁する絶縁体と、前記外部導体の周囲を囲む被覆と、を備える同軸ケーブルの端部に接続される検査用コネクタであって、
     前記検査用コネクタは、1以上のプローブを備えており、
     前記1以上のプローブのそれぞれは、
     前記外部導体に電気的に接続されるバレルであって、上下方向に延びる筒形状を有しているバレルと、
     前記中心導体に電気的に接続されように、前記中心導体に固定されており、かつ、前記バレル内に位置しているソケットと、
     前記ソケットに電気的に接続されように、前記ソケットに固定されており、かつ、前記ソケットから下方向に延びている信号ピンであって、前記信号ピンの少なくとも一部は、前記バレル内に位置している、信号ピンと、
     前記ソケットの上端と前記信号ピンの下端との上下方向における中央より下に設けられ、かつ、前記バレルに支持されると共に前記信号ピンを支持する絶縁性支持部材と、
     を含んでおり、
     前記同軸ケーブルの端部が、前記バレルの上端から前記バレル内に挿入されていることにより、前記外部導体又は前記被覆の少なくとも一方が、前記バレルに固定されており、
     前記ソケットと前記バレルとの間に前記ソケットに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない、
     検査用コネクタ。
  2.  前記信号ピンは、
      上下方向に延びる筒形状を有している筒部と、
      前記筒部内に設けられているスプリングと、
      下ピンと、
     を含んでおり、
     前記スプリングは、前記下ピンを下方向に押しており、
     前記中心導体の下端から前記スプリングの上端までの区間において前記信号ピン又は前記ソケットに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない、
     請求項1に記載の検査用コネクタ。
  3.  前記中心導体の下端から前記絶縁性支持部材の上端までの区間において前記信号ピン又は前記ソケットに接触する絶縁性部材が存在しない、
     請求項1又は請求項2に記載の検査用コネクタ。
  4.  前記検査用コネクタは、
     1以上の前記バレルに電気的に接続され、かつ、前記1以上のバレルを支持するプランジャを、
     更に備えている、
     請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれかに記載の検査用コネクタ。
  5.  前記信号ピンは、
      上下方向に延びる筒形状を有している筒部と、
      前記筒部内に設けられているスプリングと、
      下ピンと、
     を含んでおり、
     前記スプリングは、前記下ピンを下方向に押しており、
     前記中心導体の下端から前記絶縁性支持部材の上端までの区間の上下方向における長さは、前記絶縁性支持部材の上端から下端までの区間の上下方向における長さより長い、
     請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれかに記載の検査用コネクタ。
  6.  前記1以上のバレルのそれぞれは、バレル下部、及び、前記バレル下部の上に位置するバレル上部を含んでおり、
     前記バレル上部の板厚は、前記バレル下部の板厚より大きく、
     前記絶縁性支持部材は、前記バレル下部に位置している、
     請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれかに記載の検査用コネクタ。
