Abstract
The object of the utility model is a centrifuge tube, which in the upper part of the round body (3) is in a shape which narrows upwards in the form of a neck (2) on the circumference of which there are four stabilizers (1); in the lower part the tube body (3) there is a thread (4).
Description
Tube
The subject of the utility model is a tube for the separation of biological material.
Until now, tubes with a cylindrical shape and a rounded bottom were used to obtain platelet-rich plasma, where plasma separated from blood was obtained as a result of centrifugation.
At the present moment, a closed system for obtaining high-platelet plasma is also known. This system consists of a single ampoule with a central constriction, resembling the shape of an hourglass, and each of the ends has a protective stopper (DrPRP system).
Another well-known plasma platelet concentration system is the GPS® Platelet Concentration System, which contains a cylindrical vessel, enclosed flat from above. In the top cover there are three entrances closed with caps.
The tube according to this formula enables the separation and isolation of highly concentrated, autologous platelet rich plasma (PRP) or injectable platelet rich fibrin (iPRF), dedicated to applications in orthopedics, dentistry, gynecology, regenerative medicine and aesthetic medicine. The tube enables quick and safe acquisition of high- quality blood products.
The purpose of this utility model is a tube which, through its shape, ensures proper centrifugation and obtaining blood products with a high concentration of platelets in the blood plasma.
The object of the utility model is a centrifuge tube, which in the upper part of the round body is in a shape which narrows upwards in the form of a neck on the circumference of which there are four stabilizers: in the lower part the tube body there is a thread.
Tube, the stabilizers of which are in the shape of rings.
Tube which has a cap with a closure at the end of the neck.
Tube, where the thread of the tube body has a round nut.
Tube, where the round nut has the base of the tube cap and the tube stopper with spin- formed sides.
Description of the figures.
Fig. 1 - shows the tube in front view with a scale
Fig. 2 - shows the tube in the rear view with a scale.
Fig- 3 - shows A) the base of the tube stopper (indication 8), B) the tube stopper (indication 7), C) the round nut of the lower part of the tube body in top and side view (indication 5);
Fig. 4 - shows an unfolded tube.
Fig. 5 - shows the tube in its entirety (folded).
Fig. 6 - shows the tube in its entirety (folded) in the top view.
Fig. 7 - shows the tube in its entirety (folded) in the view from below.
Fig. 8 - shows the tube in its entirety (folded) in a top view.
Tube, which is the subject of the utility model, is shown in Figures 1 -8, which shows its structure in the front view.
Tube according to the formula has a cylindrical shape (round body (3)) tapering upwards to form a neck (2), on the circumference of which there are four stabilizers (1) in the form of rings; in the lower part, the body of the tube (3) there is a thread (4), on which a round nut is applied (5). The elements of the tube are the tube stopper (7), the base of the tube cap (8) and the tube nut (5). The tube stopper (7) is pressed from the bottom to the centre of the tube (3). Then, in the middle part of the tube stopper (7), the base of the tube stopper (8) is placed by pressing. Then a round nut (5) is wound on the thread (4), thereby closing the tube (3) from the bottom. At the end of the neck (2) there is a plug with a closure (6).
As shown in Fig. 1-8, the construction of the tube made of a special polymer - polycarbonate is characterized by low surface bonding energy. The usage of specially
selected raw materials in the production means that the tube does not bind cytokines and growth factors during the procedure for the preparation of blood-derived autologous products and does not affect their final concentration in the finally prepared product ready for injection.
In order to improve the stability' and balance during centrifugation, the tube has been enriched with additional stabilizers (1) in its upper part. These stabilizers (1), in the form of regular rings around the neck (2) of the tube (3), allow for better distribution of the tube mass during the centrifugation process, which significantly improves the efficiency of blood separation into fractions. In addition, thanks to the scale placed directly on the neck of the tube (2), it is possible to collect from the tube very accurately (3) separated fractions of autologous preparations, characterized by a high concentration of blood morphotic elements.
Thanks to the described unique features of the tube, during a quick procedure it is possible to obtain high-quality PRP (Platelet rich plasma) or iPRF (injectable platelet rich fibrin) with increased regenerative properties.
