Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cigarette filter for filtering cigarette smoke, the cigarette filter having an end piece and a connecting piece, the end piece being arranged at one end of the cigarette filter and the connecting piece at another end, so that a fluid, in particular cigarette smoke, through the connecting piece in the cigarette filter can be introduced, can be passed through the cigarette filter in a flow direction and can be made from the cigarette filter through the end piece.
  • Cigarettes therefore often have a cigarette holder in order to filter out the pollutants in the cigarette smoke as far as possible.
  • Known cigarette filters have a filter made of cellulose acetate threads or polymer threads which are wrapped in a filter paper. Usually several layers of threads are networked with one another or laid one on top of the other in order to increase the filter performance.
