- the present invention also relates to a method for suppressing the formation of an elastin-elastin complex, a method for suppressing a decrease in degradation of denatured elastin, a method for maintaining normal elastin fibers, and the like.
- the present invention uses an active ingredient to suppress the formation of an elastin-ellafin complex, uses an active ingredient to suppress a decrease in degradation of denatured elastin, and an active ingredient for maintaining normal elastin fibers. Regarding use.
- Elastin is a major constituent of elastin fibers (elastic fibers) and is widely expressed in tissues such as skin, blood vessels, and lungs where elasticity is essential for the expression of its function.
- elastin fibers give elasticity to the skin and have a function of retaining elasticity, but are denatured and lose elasticity due to factors such as aging and ultraviolet rays.
- denatured elastin accumulates and deposits on the dermis, causing poor elasticity and wrinkled actinic elastosis.
- Decreased degenerative elastin degradation is considered to be one of the causes of local accumulation of degenerative elastin as seen in actinic elastosis.
- Co-localization of elastin fibers and elafin was observed in the dermis exposed to ultraviolet rays, suggesting that elastin and elafin form a protein complex.
- Elastin is an inhibitor of elastase, and when elastin binds to elastin to form a complex (elastin-elafine complex), it becomes resistant to decomposition by elastase.
- Patent Document 1 discloses D-psicose as a skin function improving composition.
- Patent Document 2 discloses cosmetics and the like containing one or more kinds of ketohexose.
- Patent Document 3 discloses that L-arginine, zinc chloride, magnesium chloride, fructose and the like have an effect of promoting recovery of skin barrier function.

It is disclosed that the occurrence of such factors is small.
- the complex When elastin and elastin combine to form an elastin-elafin complex as described above, the complex exhibits resistance to elastase.
- the formation of the elastin-elafin complex reduces the degradation of elastin and slows the turnover of elastin fibers. If the formation of the elastin-ellafin complex can be suppressed, for example, the decrease in the degradation of denatured elastin can be suppressed, and the turnover of elastin fibers can be promoted. In addition, it is expected that the accumulation of denatured elastin is suppressed or improved, and normal elastin fibers can be maintained.
