Description

A LIQUID FERTILIZER COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION METHOD
Technical Field
The invention relates to a fermented liquid fertilizer composition, which substantially comprises vegetable and mineral compounds, developed for use in the fertilizer industry, and to a method of production thereof.
The invention specifically relates to a liquid fertilizer composition which is much more effective than normal fertilizer thanks to its living microorganism and amino acids content, and to a method of production thereof.
Prior Art
Fertilizer is a natural or chemically derived substance added to soil to supply the chemical elements necessary for plant nutrition. In current state of the art, fertilizers are in liquid and solid form. Fertilizers in solid form require water to dissolve after they are applied to soil. Furthermore, solid fertilizers are not sustainable when used frequently because of the wastes they leave on soil and their side effects. Flowever, liquid fertilizers even in excess amounts are not harmful to the plant and its roots as they are quickly absorbed quickly by the soil and dissolve rapidly in water.
Liquid fertilizers are usually obtained by processing solid chemical fertilizers into liquid form. Liquid fertilizers are easier to apply than solid fertilizers; they are absorbed more readily by the soil and the leaves. In addition, liquid fertilizers greatly reduce the water loss of the plant soil/stem. If a chemical fertilizer previously has been added to soil, liquid fertilizers help to purify and clean the soil from previous chemical fertilizers.
Many liquid fertilizer formulations are therefore included in the literature as liquid fertilizers have such advantages. Some of the patent applications filed in this respect are listed below. For example, the patent with application number 2019/08516, “A Chlorella Production Method and Application as a Liquid Fertilizer Containing Microorganisms in Agriculture” relates to a production method comprising a cycle characterized by changing the nutrient medium and light conditions of the Chlorella Spp. green algae (a photosynthetic microorganism) and the use of the liquid mixture obtained by this method in biological, microbial and microorganism fertilizer classes in agriculture, and its beneficial effects. However, fertilizer formulations containing microorganisms alone are not sufficiently effective on the soil and are deficient in terms of other vitamins and minerals that the plants need.
The patent with application number 2015/03274 relates to a process of reacting the heavy maceration water (a derivative product in corn starch production) with certain amounts of mineral acids or organic acids, and then stilling and heat treating it to obtain a liquid organic fertilizer raw materials. The liquid fertilizer in the said patent is poor in vitamin and mineral diversity and does not fully meet the nutrients the soil needs. Another patent with application number WO2015/085070 relates to "Liquid fertilizer formulations containing bifentrin". Said formulation is chemical and has side effects for the soil.
Consequently, due to the above-mentioned disadvantages, the current state of the art needs to be improved because of the need for natural liquid fertilizer compositions mainly composed of plants and minerals.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention relates to a liquid fertilizer composition developed for the fertilizer industry which is much more effective than a regular fertilizer thanks to its living microorganism and amino acids content and substantially comprised of minerals and plant materials, and to a method of production thereof.
The main ingredients of the said liquid fertilizer are sugar pulp as a complement, raw milk and cereal flour as a rich source of protein and minerals, yeast to facilitate fermentation (wet yeast or dry yeast), soda (sodium bicarbonate) to protect the plants from diseases and pests, and sugar, algae and plant juice extract to promote the growth of microorganisms.
In addition, the liquid fertilizer composition contains the following excipients: at least one nutritious vegetable oil, coal powder, trace element, natural mineral salt and clayey soil as mineral source, lemon salt (citric acid monohydrate) as pH regulator, common ivy and licorice for faster growth of microorganisms, and ammonia to stop fermentation.
Sugar pulp which is used as a complement comprises 60% vilas, 40% molasses by weight. These pulps, which are leftovers after taking out the crystallized sugar in sugar production, still contain a certain amount of sugar and used as animal feed, fertilizer, etc. A dark brown and very viscous substance, molasses is a left-over product of sugar crystallization which cannot be further crystallized using the current methods in the sugar refineries. This material contains approximately 50% sugar, 30% non-sugar substances and 20% water and is a highly sought after raw material due to its high sugar content.
Raw milk, which is used as a rich protein, fat and mineral source within the present invention, is an all-natural resource due to being unprocessed. Cow, goat and sheep milk can be used as raw milk.
In this invention, unshelled and finely sieved barley flour is used as cereal flour. We aim to enrich the liquid fertilizer composition with the calcium, fiber and vitamin B in barley flour. Within the present invention, other cereal flours such as wheat, rice, corn may also be used.
Within the present invention, yeast (wet yeast or dry yeast) is used to facilitate fermentation. Soda (sodium bicarbonate) which is also known as a fermenting agent, releases the carbon dioxide in the fertilizer, thus increasing the fertilizer volume. In addition, sodium bicarbonate is one of the substances used in organic agriculture to protect plants from diseases and pests.
Sugars such as glucose, algae, and plant juice extract as well as the common ivy and licorice as excipients, which are used in the invention, allow the microorganisms to grow and develop faster inside the fertilizer composition.
Vegetable oils which are used as nutrients for soil and plants within the present invention, contain individual elements or combinations that are selected from the group consisting of black seed oil, mustard oil, clove oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, corn oil, garlic oil and thyme oil.
The said fertilizer compound contains coal powder as mineral source, trace element, natural mineral salt and clayey soil. Coal is a sedimentary rock composed of organic materials of plant origin and inorganic components. It is formed as a result of stacking of plant and tree remains in the swamps which turn them into coal due to chemical and physical effects over millions of years. Therefore, coal dust contains various minerals. Trace elements such as zinc, copper, manganese, iron, molybdenum, iodine, selenium and cobalt in the invented fertilizer composition are found in very small amounts in living tissue and are essential for plants. Another mineral source in the invention, mineral salt consists of 84% sodium chloride; but the remaining 16% consists of natural minerals such as lithium, phosphorus, selenium, magnesium, calcium and vanadium. Natural salt crystal contains 84 of the 94 total number of elements found in nature (except for noble gases). Therefore, it is an excellent mineral source for soil and plants. Clayey soil from Bahkesir, Kovanakik is used in the invention. Since the clay in the clayey soils has a very small particle structure, its water permeability is very low.
Pure water is used as the solvent for all ingredients of the liquid fertilizer composition (if necessary), and ammonia is used to stop fermentation after obtaining said fertilizer composition by fermentation.
Table 1 : Content and percentage amounts of the invented composition (in kg)
Figure imgf000007_0001
Figure imgf000008_0001
The contents of the composition and the amounts in kg are given in Table 1 for illustration purposes. The amounts in the content are not limiting but may be used in wider ranges. The sugar pulp components vilas and molasses in Table 1 are used to make the mixture up to 1000 kg. Therefore, % values in the amount added to make up to 1000 kg after mixing all components in the following method are given.
Production method of the invented composition comprises the following process steps:
- Transferring raw milk, cereal flour, lemon salt, sugar, plant juice extract, moss, common ivy, licorice root, clayey soil, sodium bicarbonate (soda), coal powder, trace element, natural mineral salt and yeast into a tank followed by stirring at SO-SSO,
- adding sugar pulp (Vilas 60%, Melas 40%) as a complement to make up the mixture to the desired amount and mixing for at least 2 hours,
- adding nutrient vegetable oils to the mixture and mix for at least 6 hours,
- allowing the mixture to stand for at least 8 hours,
- finally, adding ammonia to the mixture to stop fermentation
In order for fermentation to take place, the process must be mixed for a total of 8 hours and then let it stand for at least 8 hours. The resulting liquid fertilizer should be applied to both soil and plant leaf.
The said liquid fertilizer composition may also be prepared by varying the above temperatures, holding and mixing times. However, yield may be lower.
