- the communication environment determination unit 404 evaluates the attenuation of the radio wave intensity for each distance from the maximum value to the minimum value of the distance D.
- the minimum value of the distance D may be set to zero. Equation 2 is used to evaluate the attenuation of radio field intensity.
- Pt [dBm] is the effective radiated power of the transmitter, and is generally defined by the upper limit of the antenna power in the law.
- Gr [dB] is the gain of the receiver.
- ⁇ [m] is the wavelength of the carrier frequency.
- ⁇ is the pi.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 evaluates this phenomenon using Equations 3 and 4.
- ht is the height of the antenna of vehicle A. If ht is included in the position information of the vehicle A, that value is used. When ht is not included in the position information of vehicle A and the vehicle A is a large vehicle, for example, ht is set to 3.5 m based on the height of the vehicle A. In other cases, for example, ht is set to 1.55 m based on the general height of the sedan type.
- the large vehicle is, for example, a truck, a bus, or the like. Whether or not the vehicle A is a large vehicle may be included in the data transmitted by the vehicle A to the vehicle B.
- Hr is the height of the antenna of vehicle B. Since the setting of hr is the same as that of ht, the description thereof will be omitted. Further, since the evaluation methods using the above equations 2 to 4 are generally known, the description thereof will be omitted.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 evaluates the minimum reception sensitivity Pr_min [dBm] according to the transmission / reception data rate of the communication unit 200, and evaluates the communicationable distance range at the transmission / reception data rate. Specifically, the communication environment determination unit 404 evaluates the reception strength of the communication unit 200 for each distance.
- the analysis interval of the distance D is 1 m, for example, when the ITS frequency (5.9 GHz band) is used, based on the inflection point generated by the fluctuation factor of the radio center frequency and the received electric field strength (two-wave model of ground reflection). Is set to. That is, every distance means every 1 m as an example.
- the evaluation results are shown in Fig. 5.
- the communication environment is classified into environment levels 1 to 5.
- Environment level 1 means that the communication environment is the best, and environment level 5 means that the communication environment is the worst.
- the reception intensity is higher than 10 times the reception sensitivity at all points of the route (hereinafter, may be referred to as the entire section), it is classified as environment level 1. More specifically, if the reception intensity is higher than 10 times the minimum reception power, it is classified as environment level 1.
- the minimum received power refers to the minimum received power that can ensure the reception quality required for communication.
- the reception intensity is higher than 10 times the reception sensitivity in all sections, it is classified as environment level 2. More specifically, if the reception intensity is higher than 10 times the average reception power, it is classified as environmental level 2. Further, when the reception intensity is equal to the reception sensitivity or about 10 times the reception sensitivity in all sections, it is classified as environment level 3.
- reception intensity is equivalent to the reception sensitivity at some points on the route (hereinafter, may be referred to as some sections), it is classified as environmental level 4. Further, when the reception intensity is equal to or less than the reception sensitivity in some sections, it is classified into the environment level 5. At environment levels 1 to 3, direct communication is possible in all sections. On the other hand, at environment levels 4 to 5, direct communication is difficult in some sections. If the reception intensity is less than or equal to the reception sensitivity in some sections, the corresponding section is recorded.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 determines that direct communication is possible in all sections when the reception strength exceeds the threshold value in all sections. As a result, the communication environment determination unit 404 assumes that the initial connection of direct communication is accidentally realized, or that the attenuation suddenly occurs due to the influence of road surface reflection, etc., and whether the other party has stopped communicating temporarily. It can be determined whether the communication has just been lost. Further, the communication environment determination unit 404 estimates the possibility that the modulation method of the communication method can be switched to direct communication according to the reception strength, and the modulation efficiency at environment level 1 is higher than that at environment level 3 (for example, modulation method QPSK). It is determined that the modulation efficiency is about 16 times (64QAM) and the modulation efficiency is about 8 times (16QAM) with respect to the environment level 2.
- the threshold value may be defined as reception sensitivity.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 estimates the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5, the communication environment determination unit 404 has an estimated data transfer amount of 9 when the communication environment is environment level 1 and the frequency extension is twice the reference bandwidth. , 600 bytes.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 estimates the expected data reduction rate based on the channel usage rate (Channel Busy Rate) and the automatic data deletion rate.
- the channel utilization rate is controlled to be 30 to 70% of the standard set by V2X (Vehicle to Everything communication).
- SAE J2945 / 1 Direction on connection control for V2X sidelink communication in TS 36.321
- Messages that exceed the standard set in V2X are thinned out.
- Message thinning is performed by measuring two indicators. One is the measurement of the channel utilization rate, and the other is the measurement of missing messages based on sequential message reception monitoring (1 second).
- the communication environment determination unit 404 measures the current status of the channel utilization rate based on the communication unit 100 of the vehicle A and the communication unit 200 of the vehicle B.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 obtains the current expected reduction rate according to the measured channel utilization rate.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 adopts the result having the worse channel utilization rate.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 estimates the congestion situation on the future route. Specifically, the communication environment determination unit 404 estimates that there is a possibility of congestion if there is a preceding vehicle in front of either vehicle A or vehicle B on the route, and lowers the environment level by one to communicate. It is estimated that the environment will deteriorate (see Fig. 6).
- the communication environment determination unit 404 measures the data deletion tendency based on the counter monitoring of the V2V message. When it is measured that 1 to 3 thinnings occur on average for 1 second, the expected reduction rate is set to 1/3. The communication environment determination unit 404 sets the deletion rate to 100% when it detects that no message arrives in one second. Further, the communication environment determination unit 404 sets that about 2/3 is deleted when the thinning rate varies on average for 5 seconds.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 sets the expected reduction rate to 1/2 when the measured value of the channel utilization rate is 18% and there is no prospect of congestion thereafter. Further, the communication environment determination unit 404 detects, for example, that the message has been thinned out once, and if there is no possibility of congestion thereafter, the expected reduction rate is set to 1/3. As a result, the estimated amount of data in all sections is 9,600 ⁇ 1/2 ⁇ 1/3, which is 1,600 bytes. The communication environment determination unit 404 estimates that the 1,600 bytes are the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication. The communication environment determination unit 404 outputs an estimated value (1,600 bytes) to the pass / fail determination unit 405.
- the approval / disapproval determination unit 405 compares the amount of data estimated by the data amount estimation unit 403 with the amount of data estimated by the communication environment determination unit 404. Based on the comparison result, the availability determination unit 405 determines whether or not all of the data amount estimated by the data amount estimation unit 403 can be transmitted by direct communication. As described with reference to FIG. 3, the amount of data estimated by the data amount estimation unit 403 is 24 Mbytes + 7,440 bytes. On the other hand, the amount of data estimated by the communication environment determination unit 404 is 1,600 bytes. Therefore, the pass / fail determination unit 405 determines that all of the data amount estimated by the data amount estimation unit 403 cannot be transmitted by direct communication. The pass / fail determination unit 405 outputs the determination result to the communication plan generation unit 406.
- the communication plan generation unit 406 transmits the amount of data that the vehicle A can transmit to the vehicle B and the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication. Identify the amount of data that cannot be done. In the present embodiment, the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication is 1,600 bytes, and the amount of data that cannot be transmitted by direct communication is 24 Mbytes + 5,840 bytes.
- the communication plan generation unit 406 creates a communication plan for transmitting the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication by direct communication and a communication plan for transmitting the amount of data that cannot be transmitted by direct communication by indirect communication. To do.
- the communication plan generation unit 406 creates a communication plan so that the higher the priority of the data, the more direct communication is selected. Since the vehicle A can transmit data of 1,600 bytes by direct communication, the communication plan generation unit 406 selects data having a high priority and creates data for 1,600 bytes. The data having a high priority will be described with reference to FIG. 7. In the present embodiment, the overhead shown in FIG. 7 has the highest priority and the sensor data has the lowest priority. That is, the priority decreases from the overhead toward the sensor data.
- the communication plan generation unit 406 creates a communication plan so that these data are transmitted by direct communication.
- the rest of the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication is 760 bytes. Therefore, the recognition information (600 bytes) for one other vehicle can be sent by direct communication.
- the communication plan generation unit 406 has the overhead, vehicle information including the current position information of the vehicle A, information on the past travel trajectory of the vehicle A, travel plan information, and recognition information for one other vehicle. Create a communication plan so that it is sent by direct communication.
- the amount of data transmitted by direct communication is 1,440 bytes.
- the communication plan generation unit 406 creates a communication plan so that the remaining data amount (24 Mbytes + 6,000 bytes) is transmitted by indirect communication. Then, the communication plan generation unit 406 transmits the created communication plan to the vehicle A and the vehicle B. As a result, the vehicle A and the vehicle B can be connected to the indirect communication in advance before disconnecting the direct communication, so that smooth data sharing is realized.

- step S113 The process proceeds to step S113, and the server 400 receives data from the vehicle B.
- step S115 the server 400 acquires the travel plan information of the vehicle A and the vehicle B.
- step S117 the server 400 predicts the positional relationship between the vehicle A and the vehicle B in the future based on the travel plan information acquired in step S115.
- step S119 the server 400 estimates the amount of data per second for the amount of data transmitted by the vehicle A directly to the vehicle B by communication.

As a result, the communication environment is classified into environment levels 1 to 5, as shown in FIG. Further, the server 400 estimates the amount of data (upper limit value) that can be transmitted by direct communication from the amount of data estimated in step S119. The channel utilization rate and the automatic data deletion rate are used for this estimation.
- step S125 the server 400 compares the amount of data estimated in step S119 with the amount of data estimated in step S123. Based on the comparison result, the server 400 determines whether or not all of the data amount estimated in step S119 can be transmitted by direct communication. If all of the data amount estimated in step S119 can be transmitted by direct communication (Yes in step S125), vehicle A and vehicle B continue to perform direct communication.
- step S127 when it is impossible to transmit all of the data amount estimated in step S119 by direct communication (No in step S125), the process proceeds to step S127, and the server 400 transmits the data from the vehicle A to the vehicle B.
- the amount of data the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication and the amount of data that cannot be transmitted by direct communication are specified.
- the server 400 creates a communication plan for transmitting the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication by direct communication and a communication plan for transmitting the amount of data that cannot be transmitted by direct communication by indirect communication. Further, the server 400 creates a communication plan so that the higher the priority of the data, the more direct communication is selected.
- step S129 the server 400 transmits the communication plan created in step S127 to the vehicle A and the vehicle B.
- the process proceeds to steps S131 and S133, and the vehicle A and the vehicle B receive the communication plan.
- the process proceeds to steps S135 and S137, and the vehicle A and the vehicle B communicate based on the communication plan.
- the future communication environment is determined, and it is determined whether or not the amount of data to be transmitted can be transmitted by direct communication.
- a communication plan is created for each of the direct communication and the indirect communication, and the communication plan is transmitted to the vehicle A and the vehicle B.
- the vehicle A and the vehicle B can be connected to the indirect communication in advance before disconnecting the direct communication.
- the time required for the initial connection when switching from direct communication to indirect communication is reduced, and smooth data sharing is realized.
- the direct communication is established between the vehicle A and the vehicle B, it is determined whether or not the direct communication can be maintained on the route to be traveled in the future. If direct communication can be maintained in the future, location information and the like will be shared by direct communication, so that, for example, it will be possible to formulate a plan for autonomous driving support with a margin.
- a communication plan is created so that the higher the priority of the data from the plurality of data, the more direct communication is selected.
- direct communication data can be transmitted to the other party with low delay and a simple configuration, so that sharing of high-priority data is accelerated.
- the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication and the amount of data that cannot be transmitted by direct communication are specified. Then, a communication plan for transmitting the amount of data that can be transmitted by direct communication by direct communication and a communication plan for transmitting the amount of data that cannot be transmitted by direct communication by indirect communication are created. The data you want to share early can be sent by direct communication, and the rest of the data can be sent by indirect communication.
- the server 400 further includes a road information acquisition unit 407 and a congestion estimation unit 408.
- the server 400 further includes a road information acquisition unit 407 and a congestion estimation unit 408.
- reference numerals are made and the description thereof will be omitted.
- the differences will be mainly described.
- the road information acquisition unit 407 acquires map information (including road structure, number of lanes on the road, buildings on the road, etc.), traffic congestion information, availability of nearby parking lots, accident information, construction information, signal information, etc. To do.
- the road information acquisition unit 407 may acquire such information from the vehicle B or from a cloud on the Internet.
- the vehicle B can acquire this information by V21 (VEHICLE TO INFRASTRUCTURE) and provide it to the server 400.
- V21 is a technology for exchanging information between a vehicle and communication equipment installed on a road, and is sometimes called road-to-vehicle communication. Further, the vehicle B can also acquire information on the preceding vehicle by using V21.
- the vehicle B may acquire information about the preceding vehicle by using a sensor (not shown).
- the vehicle B can detect whether or not the vehicles around the vehicle B change lanes by using a sensor (not shown). For example, the vehicle B can detect the presence / absence of a lane change by detecting the presence / absence of lighting of the turn signals of surrounding vehicles. The information detected by the vehicle A may include such information.
- the road information acquisition unit 407 outputs the acquired information to the congestion estimation unit 408.
- the congestion estimation unit 408 estimates the congestion of the route on which the vehicle A and the vehicle B will travel in the future based on the information acquired from the road information acquisition unit 407. This point will be described with reference to FIG. In the example shown in FIG. 11, the congestion of the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future will be described, but the same applies to the vehicle A. As shown in FIG. 11, when the preceding vehicle C exists in front of the vehicle B and the speed of the vehicle B is slower than the specified speed, it is estimated that the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future will be congested. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 11, when the signal 500 on the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future is red, it is estimated that the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future will be congested.
- the congestion estimation unit 408 outputs the estimation result to the communication environment determination unit 404.

- the on-board unit is a device for performing direct communication or indirect communication, such as the communication unit 100 and the communication unit 200.
- the correction formula is expressed as the distance to the intersection / (vehicle head time x vehicle speed) x number of lanes x penetration rate. In the scene shown in FIG. 11, the following is assumed.

- the current channel utilization rate is 10%
- the head time is 3 seconds
- the vehicle speed of vehicle B is 40 km / h
- the number of lanes is 3 lanes
- the number of vehicles around vehicle B. Is 46 units
- the penetration rate of in-vehicle devices is assumed to be 50%.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 changes the communication environment to environment level 2 (see FIG. 5).
- the channel utilization rate is assumed to occupy a channel of 1 millisecond per vehicle. If the corrected channel utilization rate is smaller than the current channel utilization rate, the current channel utilization rate is used.
- Data generation of the penetration rate may be performed based on known statistical values, trends from the cloud server, estimation based on past data communication conditions, and the like.
- steps S201 to 221 and 223 to 237 are the same as the processes shown in steps S101 to 121 and 123 to 137 shown in FIGS. 8 to 9, the description thereof will be omitted.
- step S221a the server 400 determines whether the speed of the vehicle B is slower than the specified speed. If the speed of the vehicle B is slower than the specified speed (Yes in step S221a), the process proceeds to step S221b. On the other hand, when the speed of the vehicle B is the specified speed (No in step S221a), the process proceeds to step S221c.
- step S221b the server 400 determines whether or not the preceding vehicle C exists in front of the vehicle B. When the preceding vehicle C is present in front of the vehicle B (Yes in step S221b), the process proceeds to step S221h. On the other hand, when the preceding vehicle C does not exist in front of the vehicle B (No in step S221b), the process proceeds to step S221c.
- step S221c the server 400 determines whether or not the signal 500 on the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future is blue. When the signal 500 on the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future is blue (Yes in step S221c), the process proceeds to step S221d. On the other hand, when the signal 500 on the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future is red (No in step S221c), the process proceeds to step S221h. In step S221d, the server 400 determines whether there is a vacancy in a nearby parking lot on the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future. If there is a vacancy in the parking lot (Yes in step S221d), the process proceeds to step S221e. On the other hand, when the parking lot is full (No in step S221d), the process proceeds to step S221h.
- step S221e the server 400 determines whether or not there is congestion information on the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future. On the other hand, when there is no congestion information (No in step S221e), the process proceeds to step S221h. In step S221f, the server 400 determines whether or not there is accident information or construction information on the route on which the vehicle B will travel in the future. If there is accident information or construction information (Yes in step S221f), the process proceeds to step S221g. On the other hand, when there is no congestion information (No in step S221f), the process proceeds to step S221h.

- the communication environment determination unit 404 can accurately determine the communication environment by correcting the channel utilization rate based on the estimation result of congestion.
- the third embodiment differs from the second embodiment in that the vehicle A further includes a transmission order determination unit 113.
- Reference numerals will be given to reference to the configuration overlapping with the second embodiment, and the description thereof will be omitted. Hereinafter, the differences will be mainly described.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 determines the transmission order of the data to be transmitted to the vehicle B. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 16, the transmission order determination unit 113 sets the vehicle from the information of surrounding objects detected by the vehicle A based on the distance from the vehicle B to the intersection, the speed of the vehicle B, and the like. Determine the priority of information that requires attention for B. Then, the transmission order determination unit 113 determines to transmit in order from the data having the highest priority.
- the communication unit 100 transmits data to the vehicle B in the order determined by the transmission order determination unit 113. Note that the higher the priority of the data, the more direct communication may be selected.
- the surrounding objects are a preceding vehicle C and a preceding vehicle D traveling in front of the vehicle A.
- the information of the surrounding objects is the position information, speed information, and the like of the preceding vehicle C and the preceding vehicle D.
- the time to arrive at the intersection (hereinafter referred to as the estimated arrival time) can be used.
- the preceding vehicle C travels at 40 km / h at a point 350 m before the intersection
- the preceding vehicle D travels at 50 km / h at a point 150 m before the intersection
- the vehicle B travels at 50 km / h from the intersection. It is assumed that the vehicle is traveling at 45 km / h at a point 400 m before. It is assumed that the position information, speed information, and the like of the vehicle B, the preceding vehicle C, and the preceding vehicle D are detected by the vehicle A in advance. In this case, the estimated arrival time is expressed by Equation 5.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 determines to transmit the data of the object having the earliest expected arrival time first.
- the estimated arrival time of the preceding vehicle C is about 32 seconds
- the estimated arrival time of the preceding vehicle D is about 11 seconds. Therefore, the preceding vehicle D arrives at the intersection before the preceding vehicle C. Therefore, the transmission order determination unit 113 transmits data in the order of the preceding vehicle D and the preceding vehicle C. That is, the transmission order determination unit 113 determines that the preceding vehicle D has a higher priority than the preceding vehicle C.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 may determine the priority of the data based on the relative distance between the object and the vehicle B. Specifically, the transmission order determination unit 113 may give higher priority as the relative distance between the object and the vehicle B is shorter. For example, as shown in FIG. 16, the relative distance between the preceding vehicle D and the vehicle B is 550 m, and the relative distance between the preceding vehicle C and the vehicle B is 750 m. In this case, the transmission order determination unit 113 determines that the preceding vehicle D has a higher priority than the preceding vehicle C.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 may determine the priority of the data based on the relative speed between the object and the vehicle B.
- the reference of the relative velocity may be an object or a vehicle B.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 may give higher priority as the relative speed between the object and the vehicle B is faster. For example, in the example shown in FIG. 16, since the vehicle D and the vehicle B are facing each other, the relative speed between the vehicle D and the vehicle B is 95 km / h. Similarly, since the preceding vehicle C and the vehicle B are also facing each other, the relative speed between the preceding vehicle C and the vehicle B is 85 km / h. In this case, the transmission order determination unit 113 determines that the preceding vehicle D has a higher priority than the preceding vehicle C.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 may determine the priority of the data based on the type of the object. For example, when the preceding vehicle D shown in FIG. 16 is a large vehicle such as a bus or a truck and the preceding vehicle C shown in FIG. 16 is normally automatic, the transmission order determination unit 113 indicates that the preceding vehicle D is more than the preceding vehicle C. Judge that the priority is high.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 may determine the priority of the data based on the traffic rules and the possibility of intersection at the intersection. Specifically, the transmission order determination unit 113 evaluates the priority in five stages (level 1 to level 5) based on the traffic rules and the possibility of intersection at the intersection. Level 1 has the highest priority and level 5 has the lowest priority. Details will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 17 uses the scene shown in FIG.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 determines that the priority of the data of the preceding vehicle C and the preceding vehicle D is level 1.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 determines that the priority of the data of the preceding vehicle C and the preceding vehicle D is level 5. Similarly, the transmission order determination unit 113 determines the priority based on the possibility of crossing at the intersection and the priority and non-priority at the intersection. The transmission order determination unit 113 determines that the higher the priority of the data, the more direct communication is selected. In the example shown in FIG. 17, the transmission order determination unit 113 determines, for example, that when the priority is level 1 or level 2, the data of the preceding vehicle D and the preceding vehicle C are selected for direct communication.
- the transmission order determination unit 113 determines the time when the object (preceding vehicle C and the preceding vehicle D) reaches the intersection, the relative distance between the object and the vehicle B, the relative speed between the object and the vehicle B, the type of the object, and so on. Prioritize according to at least one of the traffic rules at the intersection. Then, the transmission order determination unit 113 determines that the higher the priority of the data, the more direct communication is selected. This speeds up the sharing of high priority data.

As a result, it is possible to switch from direct communication to indirect communication only when the communication environment deteriorates, and smooth data sharing according to the communication environment is realized.
- the communication environment determination unit 404 may create a communication plan for switching from direct communication to indirect communication when channel multiplexing is detected. As a result, it is possible to switch from direct communication to indirect communication only when channel multiplexing is detected, and smooth data sharing according to the communication environment is realized.

Abstract
