Abstract
Description
本願は、2019年2月22日に日本国に出願された特願2019-030418号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
図1中、符号1は回転軸(シャフト)、符号2は回転軸の先端部に設けられたインペラ、符号3は本開示に係るスラストフォイル軸受である。
スラストフォイル軸受3は、図2に示すように、スラストカラー4を挟んで両側に一対で設けられている。これら一対のスラストフォイル軸受3は、共に同じ構成である。スラストフォイル軸受3は、トップフォイル10と、バックフォイル20と、ベースプレート30と、を備える。
図3は、本開示の第1実施形態に係るスラストフォイル軸受3を示す平面図である。図4は、図3に示すスラストフォイル軸受3の要部断面図である。
ベースプレート30は、図3に示すように、回転軸1が挿通される挿通孔30aを有する。
すなわち、本開示のベースプレート30は、挿通孔30aが形成された円板状の部材である。しかし、挿通孔30aを有すれば、ベースプレート30は、円板状以外の部材(例えば矩形板状)であってもよい。また、挿通孔30aについても、必ずしも厳密な円筒形状である必要はない。
また、山部22aは、隣接する谷部22bを繋ぐアーチ状の部位である。バックフォイル片21は、ベースプレート30に支持されている。そのため、谷部22bは、ベースプレート30と当接可能である。支持部22の両端部、すなわち、バックフォイル第1端部21aと、支持部22の周方向一方側の端部(以下、バックフォイル第2端部21b)は、それぞれ谷部22bによって形成されている。
また、山部22aの高さ(谷部22bと山部22aの高さの差)は、一定の高さで形成されている。ベースプレート30には、支持部22を支持する支持面31が形成されている。支持面31は、挿通孔30aの軸方向の一方側において挿通孔30aの周囲に配置されている。支持面31は、ベースプレート30の平坦面30bに対して、第1方向の他方側 (図4において紙面右側)に向かうに従って漸次高くなる(平坦面30bに近づく)傾斜面になっている。言い換えると、支持面31は、ベースプレート30の軸方向の他方側(背面側)に向かい傾斜している。このため、支持面31に支持されたバックフォイル片21上のトップフォイル片11の傾斜部12は、平坦面30bに対して傾斜する。なお、本開示において、第1方向の他方側と、周方向の他方側の向きは一致していないが、その間の角度は劣角である。
図5に示すように、本開示のバックフォイル片21のバックフォイル第2端部21b(自由端)は、内周側から外周側に分離した複数の端縁で形成される。すなわち、バックフォイル片21には、バックフォイル第2端部21bからバックフォイル第1端部21aに向かい周方向に延伸する複数のスリット24が形成されている。このため、バックフォイル片21は、複数のスリット24によって、径方向において複数の分割領域25に分かれている。具体的には、バックフォイル片21は、周方向における一方側(回転方向の上流側)が、径方向において複数(本開示では4つ)の分割領域25に分割されている。
図6に示すように、ベースプレート30の支持面31は、バックフォイル片21よりも一回り大きく形成されている。支持面31は、バックフォイル片21と同様に、扇形の頂点側を切り欠いて内周側、外周側をそれぞれ円弧状とした、略台形状に形成されている。
すなわち、支持面31は、周方向に離隔し、内周側から外周側に延びる2つの端縁と、2つの端縁を内周側で接続する内周側の端縁と、2つの端縁を外周側で接続する外周側の端縁を備えている。なお、支持面31の境界は、段差などで明確にされていなくてもよい。
また、本開示のベースプレート30の段差32は、複数のスリット24のアールがつけられている位置から周方向一方側(回転方向上流側)に向かい形成されている。また、本開示では、周方向一方側に向かい段差32が大きくなる。さらに、本開示のように、ベースプレート30の段差32は、複数のスリット24のアールがつけられている位置よりも周方向他方側(回転方向下流側)まで延伸していてもよい。但し、ベースプレート30の段差32は、バックフォイル第1端部21aを越えてまでは延伸しない。
図8及び図9は、本開示の第1実施形態に係るベースプレート30に複数の傾斜面31a~31dを形成する工程を示す説明図である。
この工程のプレス加工では、図8の(a)部に示すような、凸部101aをプレス面に備える金型100を用いてもよい。
これにより、図8の(c)部に示すように、ベースプレート30の平坦面30bに、平坦面30bに対して傾斜角θ1で傾斜した傾斜面31aを形成することができる。
なお、複数の傾斜面31a~31dのプレスの順番は、傾斜角が深い順(傾斜面31d、31c、31b、31aの順)に行ってもよいし、順不同でも構わない。また、金型100が、複数の傾斜角θ1~θ4を有する複数の凸部を備える場合は、傾斜面31a~31dを一回のプレスによって形成しても構わない。
さらに、支持面31の全面(傾斜角が0)を最も浅い傾斜面31aと同一の傾斜角θ1を有する金型でプレス加工した後、傾斜面31aを除く支持面31の全面(傾斜角θ1の面)を、次に浅い傾斜面31bと同一の傾斜角θ2を有する金型でプレス加工するなどし、これを繰り返すことで、径方向内側に向かって徐々に深い傾斜面を形成してもよい。
スラストフォイル軸受3は、図2に示すように、スラストカラー4を挟んだ両側に設けている。そのため、回転軸1のスラスト方向両側の移動を抑制できる。
先ず、従来の図10の(b)部に示す単一の支持面31(傾斜面)について説明すると、この傾斜面31は、上述したベースプレート30の内外周差により、内周側よりも外周側の傾斜ストロークが長くなる結果、同一の周方向位置において内周側よりも外周側が低くなり、外周側がスラストカラー4に対して軸方向に大きく離間することとなる。
次に、本開示の第2実施形態について説明する。以下の説明において、上述の実施形態と同一又は同等の構成については同一の符号を付し、その説明を簡略若しくは省略する。
図11に示すように、第2実施形態では、支持面31の傾斜面31の分割数が、バックフォイル片21の分割領域25の分割数よりも少ない点で、上記実施形態と異なる。
傾斜面31f、31eは、支持面31の周方向他方側の端部31Aから、それぞれ上述した第1方向の一方側に向かって(図11において符号L5、L6が示す方向に向かって)、平坦面30bに対し傾斜している。
上記構成の第2実施形態によれば、上述した第1実施形態と同様に、スラストフォイル軸受3の負荷能力を向上できる。また、第2実施形態では、上述した第1実施形態と比べて、支持面31の傾斜加工が簡素化されるため、ベースプレート30の作成が容易になる。
次に、本開示の第3実施形態について説明する。以下の説明において、上述の実施形態と同一又は同等の構成については同一の符号を付し、その説明を簡略若しくは省略する。
図13に示すように、第3実施形態では、支持面31の段差32と、バックフォイル片21のスリット24の径方向位置が一致していない点で、上記実施形態と異なる。
上記構成によっても、傾斜角の異なる複数の傾斜面31a~31dに、バックフォイル片21の複数の分割領域25を良好に載置可能であると共に、複数の分割領域25がそれぞれスリット24によって独立して変形可能となる。

- シャフトが挿通される挿通孔及び前記挿通孔の軸方向の一方側において前記挿通孔の周囲に配置された支持面を有するベースプレートと、
前記支持面に支持されたバックフォイルと、を備え、
前記支持面は、前記ベースプレートの前記軸方向の他方側に向かい傾斜する傾斜角が、前記挿通孔の径方向の外側に向かうに従って順に浅くなる複数の傾斜面を有し、
前記バックフォイルは、スリットによって前記径方向において複数の分割領域に分かれ、前記複数の分割領域が前記複数の傾斜面に支持されている、スラストフォイル軸受。 - 前記複数の傾斜面のうち、前記径方向で隣り合う傾斜面の間には、段差が形成されている、請求項1に記載のスラストフォイル軸受。
- 前記スリットは、前記軸方向において前記段差と対向する径方向位置に形成されている、請求項2に記載のスラストフォイル軸受。
