L'invention concerne un appareil (1) destiné à couper au moins une feuille (2) de matériau, comprenant : un moyen de transport (6) adapté pour alimenter la feuille (2) dans une zone de coupe (C) le long d'une direction longitudinale ; une traverse (18) au-dessus de ladite zone de coupe (C) ; au moins une première tête de coupe (8a) et une seconde tête de coupe ; un système de déplacement de têtes de coupe (8a ; 8b) au-dessus de la zone de coupe (C), comprenant au moins : un premier chariot supérieur (19a) pour la première tête de coupe (8a) et un second chariot supérieur pour la seconde tête de coupe (8b), les premier et second chariots supérieurs (19a) étant tous deux supportés par ladite traverse (18) et aptes à se déplacer par rapport à celle-ci le long d'une direction transversale ; le premier chariot supérieur (19a) étant contraint à un ou plusieurs premiers guides (24a ; 24'a) de la traverse (18) ; le second chariot supérieur étant contraint à un ou plusieurs seconds guides (24b ; 24'b) de la traverse (18) ; lesdits premiers guides (24a ; 24'a) étant parallèles et distincts par rapport auxdits seconds guides (24b ; 24'b).
