ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)には、α型、β型及びγ型の3種類の結晶構造が存在する。これらのPVDFの結晶多形の中でも、β型の結晶(β晶)は、単位格子当たり最大の自発分極を有し、高い強誘電性及び圧電特性を示すことが知られている(特許文献1)。
硝酸アルミニウム9水和物や硝酸マグネシウム6水和物を含むPVDF溶液を用いて基板上にPVDF膜を形成することで、PVDFのβ型結晶化率(β晶化率)が向上することが示されている(特許文献1)が、β晶化率の向上により強誘電性及び圧電特性の向上が期待されるため、さらなる改善が求められている。
本発明は、前記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、高いβ晶化率を有するPVDF膜を与えるPVDF膜形成用組成物及び該組成物から得られるPVDF膜を提供することを目的とする。
本発明者らは、前記目的を達成するために鋭意検討を重ねた結果、PVDFと、所定の界面活性剤と、溶媒とを含む組成物が、高いβ晶化率を有するPVDF膜を与えることを見出し、本発明を完成させた。
すなわち、本発明は、下記のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物及びポリフッ化ビニリデン膜を提供する。
1. ポリフッ化ビニリデンと、硫酸系界面活性剤、スルホン酸系界面活性剤及び第4級アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤から選ばれる少なくとも一種の界面活性剤と、溶媒とを含むポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物。
2. 前記界面活性剤が、アルキル硫酸塩、アルキルスルホン酸塩、アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸塩、アルキルトリメチルアンモニウム塩から選ばれる少なくとも一種である1のフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物。
3. 前記界面活性剤の配合量が、ポリフッ化ビニリデン100質量部に対し0.001~20質量部である1又は2のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物。
4. 1~3のいずれかのポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物から得られるポリフッ化ビニリデン膜。
5. 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデン膜が、β型結晶構造を含むものである4のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜。
6. 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデンのβ型結晶化率が、70質量%以上である5のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜。
7. 1~3のいずれかのポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物を用いてポリフッ化ビニリデン膜を成膜する際に、55~105℃で熱処理することを含むポリフッ化ビニリデン膜の製造方法。

5. 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデン膜が、β型結晶構造を含むものである4のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜。
6. 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデンのβ型結晶化率が、70質量%以上である5のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜。
7. 1~3のいずれかのポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物を用いてポリフッ化ビニリデン膜を成膜する際に、55~105℃で熱処理することを含むポリフッ化ビニリデン膜の製造方法。
本発明のPVDF膜形成用組成物は、高いβ晶化率を有するPVDF膜を与えるものである。
本発明のPVDF膜形成用組成物は、PVDFと、硫酸系界面活性剤、スルホン酸系界面活性剤及び第4級アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤から選ばれる少なくとも一種の界面活性剤と、溶媒とを含むものである。
本発明において、前記PVDFとしては、所定の粘度を有していることが好ましく、例えば、以下の粘度を有するものが挙げられる。
(1)ASTM D3835に準拠して測定される、溶融温度232℃、せん断速度100sec-1における溶融粘度が、好ましくは2.0~60.0Kpoise、より好ましくは4.0~55Kpoiseであるもの
(2)ISO 1060-1に準拠して測定される固有粘度が、好ましくは0.5~4.0dl/g、より好ましくは0.7~1.5dl/gであるもの
(1)ASTM D3835に準拠して測定される、溶融温度232℃、せん断速度100sec-1における溶融粘度が、好ましくは2.0~60.0Kpoise、より好ましくは4.0~55Kpoiseであるもの
(2)ISO 1060-1に準拠して測定される固有粘度が、好ましくは0.5~4.0dl/g、より好ましくは0.7~1.5dl/gであるもの
前記界面活性剤としては、硫酸系界面活性剤、スルホン酸系界面活性剤及び第4級アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤から選ばれる少なくとも一種を含むが、本発明では、硫酸系界面活性剤及びスルホン酸系界面活性剤から選ばれる少なくとも一種を含むことが好ましい。
硫酸系界面活性剤としては、アルキル硫酸塩等が挙げられる。これらの界面活性剤に含まれるアルキル基の炭素数は、8~20が好ましく、10~18がより好ましい。具体例としては、ドデシル硫酸ナトリウム、テトラデシル硫酸ナトリウム、ヘキサデシル硫酸ナトリウム、オクタデシル硫酸ナトリウム、ドデシル硫酸リチウム等が挙げられる。
スルホン酸系界面活性剤としては、アルキルスルホン酸塩、アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸塩等が挙げられる。これらの界面活性剤に含まれるアルキル基の炭素数は、8~20が好ましく、10~18がより好ましい。具体例としては、1-デカンスルホン酸ナトリウム、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム等が挙げられる。
第4級アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤としては、アルキルトリメチルアンモニウム塩等が挙げられる。これらの界面活性剤に含まれるアルキル基の炭素数は、8~20が好ましく、10~18がより好ましい。具体例としては、ヘキサデシルトリメチルアンモニウムブロミド等が挙げられる。
前記界面活性剤の配合量は、PVDF100質量部に対し0.001~20質量部が好ましく、0.1~15質量部がより好ましく、1~10質量部より一層好ましい。界面活性剤の配合量を前記範囲とすることで、高いβ晶化率を有するPVDF膜が得られる。
前記溶媒としては、PVDF及び界面活性剤を溶解できるものであれば特に限定されない。このような溶媒としては、N,N-ジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)、ジメチルスルホキシド、N-メチル-2-ピロリドン、トリエチルホスファート、テトラヒドロフラン、シクロペンチルメチルエーテル、γ-ブチロラクトン、シクロペンタノン、シクロヘキサノン、3-メチルシクロヘキサノン、イソホロン、メントン、炭酸プロピレン、炭酸エチレン、トリクロロエタン、クロロジフルオロメタン、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、メチルアミルケトン、アセトニトリル、N,N-ジメチルアセトアミド、ヘキサメチルホスホルアミド、テトラメチルウレア、酢酸エチル、酢酸、ピリジン、酢酸ブチル、ポリエチレングリコールメチルエーテルアクリレート、スルホラン、1,4-ジオキサン等が挙げられる。これらのうち、DMF、アセトン、N,N-ジメチルアセトアミド、N-メチル-2-ピロリドン、メチルエチルケトンが好ましく、DMF及びアセトンがより好ましく、DMF及びアセトンの混合溶媒がより一層好ましい。前記溶媒は、1種単独で使用してもよく、2種以上を混合して使用してもよい。
前記溶媒の使用量は、成膜性および溶解度の観点から、PVDF100質量部に対し400~99,900質量部が好ましく、900~19,900質量部がより好ましく、900~9,900質量部より一層好ましい。
本発明のPVDF膜形成用組成物を用いて得られるPVDF膜の結晶化度は、全PVDF中、30質量%以上が好ましく、40質量%以上がより好ましく、50質量%以上がより一層好ましい。結晶化度が50質量%以上であれば、より優れた強誘電性及び圧電特性が期待される。なお、結晶化度の上限は100質量%であるが、通常60質量%程度である。
前記PVDF膜におけるPVDFのβ晶化率は、結晶化したPVDF中、50質量%以上が好ましく、65質量%以上がより好ましく、75質量%以上がより一層好ましい。β晶化率が75質量%以上であれば、より優れた強誘電性及び圧電特性が期待される。なお、β晶化率の上限は100質量%であるが、通常90質量%程度である。
本発明の組成物を用いてPVDF膜を形成する場合、公知の方法を採用することができ、溶媒キャスト法、ドクターブレード法、スピンコート法、エレクトロスピニング法、スリットコーター、ロールコーター、インクジェット、ディップコート及びスクリーン印刷等が挙げられる。
PVDF膜を成膜する際には、必要に応じて乾燥及び結晶化を促進するために熱処理を施してもよい。このときの加熱温度は、55~105℃が好ましく、60~100℃がより好ましい。また、加熱時間は、1~240分間が好ましく、5~30分間がより好ましい。この加熱処理によって、β晶化率を高めることができる。
前記熱処理で加熱に用いる器具としては、例えば、ホットプレート、オーブン等が挙げられる。加熱雰囲気は、空気下であっても不活性ガス下であってもよく、また、常圧下であっても減圧下であってもよい。
PVDF膜の厚さは、通常50nm~50μm程度、好ましくは100nm~20μm程度、より好ましくは1~10μm程度である。膜厚は、組成物の濃度や成膜条件などを調整することにより、調整することができる。
なお、前記膜厚は、マイクロメーターや段差計(微細形状測定機)等により測定することができる。

以下、実施例及び比較例を挙げて本発明を更に詳しく説明するが、本発明は、下記実施例に限定されない。なお、使用した装置及びPVDFは、以下のとおりである。

PVDF1 100質量部をDMF(純正化学(株)製)450質量部とアセトン(純正化学(株)製)450質量部との混合溶媒に溶解させた後、ドデシル硫酸ナトリウム(東京化成工業(株)製、C12H25SO4Na)10質量部を添加し、均一になるまで撹拌して溶解させた。次いで、得られた溶液をシリンジフィルター(5μm)によりろ過して組成物A1を得た。
[実施例1-1]組成物A1の調製
PVDF1 100質量部をDMF(純正化学(株)製)450質量部とアセトン(純正化学(株)製)450質量部との混合溶媒に溶解させた後、ドデシル硫酸ナトリウム(東京化成工業(株)製、C12H25SO4Na)10質量部を添加し、均一になるまで撹拌して溶解させた。次いで、得られた溶液をシリンジフィルター(5μm)によりろ過して組成物A1を得た。

実施例1-1で得られた組成物A1をシャーレ(φ35mm)上に300μL滴下して、溶液を均一に広げた。次に、シャーレを80℃に加熱したホットプレート上で5分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜a1を得た。
[実施例2-1]
実施例1-1で得られた組成物A1をシャーレ(φ35mm)上に300μL滴下して、溶液を均一に広げた。次に、シャーレを80℃に加熱したホットプレート上で5分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜a1を得た。
[実施例2-2~2-4、比較例2-1]
組成物A1の代わりに、それぞれ実施例1-3~1-5で得られた組成物C1、D1及びE1、ならびに比較例1-1で得られたF1を用いた以外は、実施例2-1と同様の方法でPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜c1、d1、e1及びf1を得た。
組成物A1の代わりに、それぞれ実施例1-3~1-5で得られた組成物C1、D1及びE1、ならびに比較例1-1で得られたF1を用いた以外は、実施例2-1と同様の方法でPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜c1、d1、e1及びf1を得た。
[実施例3-1]
実施例1-6で得られた組成物A2をガラス基板(100mm角)上に滴下して、ドクターブレード(液厚100μm)を用いて塗膜を形成した。次に、得られた塗膜を80℃に加熱したホットプレート上で10分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚およそ3μmの自立可能な膜a2を得た。
実施例1-6で得られた組成物A2をガラス基板(100mm角)上に滴下して、ドクターブレード(液厚100μm)を用いて塗膜を形成した。次に、得られた塗膜を80℃に加熱したホットプレート上で10分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚およそ3μmの自立可能な膜a2を得た。
[実施例3-2~3-4、比較例3-1]
組成物A2の代わりに、それぞれ実施例1-7~1-9で得られた組成物B2、C2及びD2、ならびに比較例1-2で得られたF2を用いた以外は、実施例3-1と同様の方法でPVDFからなる膜厚およそ3μmの自立可能な膜b2、c2、d2及びf2を得た。
組成物A2の代わりに、それぞれ実施例1-7~1-9で得られた組成物B2、C2及びD2、ならびに比較例1-2で得られたF2を用いた以外は、実施例3-1と同様の方法でPVDFからなる膜厚およそ3μmの自立可能な膜b2、c2、d2及びf2を得た。
[実施例4-1]
実施例1-6で得られた組成物A2をシリコン基板上に滴下して、スピンコート法(990rpm、20sec)により塗膜を形成した。次に、得られた塗膜を80℃に加熱したホットプレート上で10分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚500nmの膜a3を得た。
実施例1-6で得られた組成物A2をシリコン基板上に滴下して、スピンコート法(990rpm、20sec)により塗膜を形成した。次に、得られた塗膜を80℃に加熱したホットプレート上で10分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚500nmの膜a3を得た。
[実施例4-2~4-4、比較例4-1]
組成物A2の代わりに、それぞれ実施例1-7~1-9で得られた組成物B2、C2及びD2、ならびに比較例1-2で得られたF2を用いた以外は、実施例4-1と同様の方法でPVDFからなる膜厚500nmの膜b3、c3、d3及びf3を得た。
組成物A2の代わりに、それぞれ実施例1-7~1-9で得られた組成物B2、C2及びD2、ならびに比較例1-2で得られたF2を用いた以外は、実施例4-1と同様の方法でPVDFからなる膜厚500nmの膜b3、c3、d3及びf3を得た。
[実施例5-1]
実施例1-11で得られた組成物Gをシャーレ(φ35mm)上に300μL滴下して、溶液を均一に広げた。シャーレを80℃に加熱したホットプレート上で5分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜gを得た。
実施例1-11で得られた組成物Gをシャーレ(φ35mm)上に300μL滴下して、溶液を均一に広げた。シャーレを80℃に加熱したホットプレート上で5分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜gを得た。
[実施例5-2~5-6、比較例5-1~5-4]
組成物Gの代わりに、それぞれ実施例1-12~1-16で得られた組成物H、I、J、K及びL、ならびに比較例1-3~1-6で得られた組成物M、N、O及びPを用いた以外は、実施例5-1と同様の方法でPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜h、i、j、k、l、m、n、o及びpを得た。
組成物Gの代わりに、それぞれ実施例1-12~1-16で得られた組成物H、I、J、K及びL、ならびに比較例1-3~1-6で得られた組成物M、N、O及びPを用いた以外は、実施例5-1と同様の方法でPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜h、i、j、k、l、m、n、o及びpを得た。
[実施例6-1]
実施例1-6で得られた組成物A2をシャーレ(φ35mm)上に300μL滴下して、溶液を均一に広げた。シャーレを60℃に加熱したホットプレート上で5分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜a4を得た。
実施例1-6で得られた組成物A2をシャーレ(φ35mm)上に300μL滴下して、溶液を均一に広げた。シャーレを60℃に加熱したホットプレート上で5分間の熱処理をすることにより、乾燥と結晶化を行いPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜a4を得た。
[実施例6-2~6-5、比較例6-1~6-4]
熱処理の温度を、それぞれ70℃、80℃、90℃、100℃、110℃、120℃、130℃及び140℃に変更した以外は、実施例6-1と同様の方法でPVDFからなる膜厚およそ10μmの自立可能な膜a5~a12を得た。

[3]PVDF膜の評価
(1)PVDFの結晶化度の評価
PVDFの結晶化度は、膜を約5mgになるように切り出し、示差走査熱量計(パーキンエルマー社製、「DiamondDSC」)を用い、温度範囲:30~200℃、昇温速度:10℃/min、空気雰囲気下で行った。測定結果の吸熱ピークより測定対象物のエンタルピー変化ΔHを算出し、次の式を用い結晶化度を求めた。ここで、純粋なPVDF結晶の融解エンタルピー:ΔH*=104.7J/gを用いた。
結晶化度=ΔH/ΔH*×100[%]
(1)PVDFの結晶化度の評価
PVDFの結晶化度は、膜を約5mgになるように切り出し、示差走査熱量計(パーキンエルマー社製、「DiamondDSC」)を用い、温度範囲:30~200℃、昇温速度:10℃/min、空気雰囲気下で行った。測定結果の吸熱ピークより測定対象物のエンタルピー変化ΔHを算出し、次の式を用い結晶化度を求めた。ここで、純粋なPVDF結晶の融解エンタルピー:ΔH*=104.7J/gを用いた。
結晶化度=ΔH/ΔH*×100[%]
(2)PVDFのβ晶化率の評価
PVDFのβ晶化率は、キャスト法及びドクターブレード法により得られた膜については、フーリエ変換赤外分光光度計1((株)島津製作所製、「IRPrestige-21」)を用い、測定範囲:700-950cm-1、スキャン回数:16回、分解能:1cm-1の条件下で測定対象物の厚み方向の吸光度を測定し、次の式を用いてβ晶化率(F(β))を求めた。ここで、
Aα:761cm-1での吸光度
Aβ:840cm-1での吸光度
Kα:761cm-1での吸光係数(6.1×104cm2 mol-1)
Kβ:840cm-1での吸光係数(7.7×104cm2 mol-1)
を用いた。
PVDFのβ晶化率は、キャスト法及びドクターブレード法により得られた膜については、フーリエ変換赤外分光光度計1((株)島津製作所製、「IRPrestige-21」)を用い、測定範囲:700-950cm-1、スキャン回数:16回、分解能:1cm-1の条件下で測定対象物の厚み方向の吸光度を測定し、次の式を用いてβ晶化率(F(β))を求めた。ここで、
Aα:761cm-1での吸光度
Aβ:840cm-1での吸光度
Kα:761cm-1での吸光係数(6.1×104cm2 mol-1)
Kβ:840cm-1での吸光係数(7.7×104cm2 mol-1)
を用いた。
スピンコート法により得られた膜については、膜をシリコン基板から剥がすことなく、フーリエ変換赤外分光光度計2(サーモフィッシャーサイエンティフィック(株)製、「Nicolet iS5」)を用い、測定範囲:700-4000cm-1、スキャン回数:32回、分解能:8cm-1の条件下で測定対象物の厚み方向の吸光度を測定した。計算式は上式を用いた。
結果を表1~5に示す。
表1の結果より、ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムを添加することにより、ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムが無添加の場合に比較して高いβ晶化率を有するPVDF膜が得られることが確認された。
表2の結果より、ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムを添加することにより、ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムが無添加の場合に比較して高いβ晶化率を有するPVDF膜が得られることが確認された。
表3の結果より、ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムを添加することにより、ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムが無添加の場合に比較して高いβ晶化率を有するPVDF膜が得られることが確認された。
表4の結果より、硫酸系界面活性剤、スルホン酸系界面活性剤及び第4級アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤から選ばれる界面活性剤を添加することにより、高いβ晶化率を有するPVDF膜が得られることが確認された。
表5の結果より、熱処理の温度を本発明で規定する範囲とすることにより、高いβ晶化率を有するPVDF膜が得られることが確認された。
Claims (7)
- ポリフッ化ビニリデンと、硫酸系界面活性剤、スルホン酸系界面活性剤及び第4級アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤から選ばれる少なくとも一種の界面活性剤と、溶媒とを含むポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物。
- 前記界面活性剤が、アルキル硫酸塩、アルキルスルホン酸塩、アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸塩、アルキルトリメチルアンモニウム塩から選ばれる少なくとも一種である請求項1記載のフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物。
- 前記界面活性剤の配合量が、ポリフッ化ビニリデン100質量部に対し0.001~20質量部である請求項1又は2記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物。
- 請求項1~3のいずれか1項記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物から得られるポリフッ化ビニリデン膜。
- 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデン膜が、β型結晶構造を含むものである請求項4記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜。
- 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデンのβ型結晶化率が、70質量%以上である請求項5記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜。
- 請求項1~3のいずれか1項記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン膜形成用組成物を用いてポリフッ化ビニリデン膜を成膜する際に、55~105℃で熱処理することを含むポリフッ化ビニリデン膜の製造方法。
