Abstract
본 발명은 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원을 조절하는 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 보다 간편한 방법으로 프랙탈 차원을 조절함으로써 다양한 소재를 개발할 수 있는 기술을 제공하고자 하는 것이다. 본 발명의 여러 구현예에 따르면, 그래핀 기반 물질의 기공도를 조절하는 개질 방법으로 용이하게 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원을 변화시키는데 현저한 효과를 나타낸다. 또한, 그래핀 기반 물질에 첨가제를 투입함으로써 다양한 응용분야로도 응용이 가능한 소재를 제공할 수 있다.
Description
본 발명은 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원을 조절하는 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 종래보다 간편한 방법으로 프랙탈 차원을 조절함으로써 다양한 소재를 개발할 수 있는 기술을 제공하고자 하는 것이다.
현재 상용화되어 있는 슈퍼커패시터는 이차전지와 비교하여 매우 낮은 에너지 밀도를 나타내고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 그래핀이나 탄소 나노 튜브와 같은 탄소 물질을 활용한 새로운 전극소재 개발 연구가 매우 활발하게 진행되고 있다.
일반적으로 그래핀 기반 물질은 여러 우수한 특성들을 가지기 때문에 기술적으로 매우 중요하게 고려되고 있다. 특히, 그래핀은 종래의 다른 어떤 물질들보다도 우수한 전기 전도성을 나타내고, 다이아몬드보다 더 큰 열 전도성을 가지며, 6분의 1의 무게로도 강철보다 200배 이상 더 큰 물리적 강도를 가진다. 또한, 그래핀은 투명도(Transparency), 전기적 특성(Electrical property), 기체/수분 베리어 특성(Gas/Moisture barrier property) 뿐만 아니라 플렉서블(Flexible) 디바이스에서 요구되는 연성(flexibility)과 물리적 강도(Mechanical strength)도 제공할 수 있기 때문에, 최근 각광받는 유기 발광 다이오드(OLED) 디스플레이나 플렉서블 디스플레이 디바이스에서도 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 이러한 그래핀은 2차원 구조의 나노시트 형태의 탄소 구조체를 나타내는 것으로, 우수한 물성을 가지고 있음에도 기술 개발이 제한적이다. 따라서, 2차원 구조의 그래핀 기반 물질이 가지는 단점을 개선하기 위하여 3차원(Three dimensional) 구조의 그래핀을 합성하기 위한 기술 개발이 요구되고 있다.
그러나, 3차원 구조의 그래핀 기반 물질을 합성하는 것이 어렵기 때문에 대량 생산이 불가능하며, 프랙탈 차원을 조절하는 것이 힘들다는 단점이 있다. 또한, 기존 방법에는 금속 산화물 등의 첨가물을 이용하여 만들기 때문에 순수한 물질을 제조하기 어려울 뿐만 아니라 크기, 전도도 및 모양등을 제어하기 어려운 문제점을 가진다.

또한, 수용액 상태로 대량 생산이 가능하며, 그래핀 기반 물질의 크기 및 구성 비율을 조절함으로써 여러 가지 물성을 조절할 수 있고, 첨가제를 넣을 경우에는 다양한 응용분야로도 응용이 가능한 소재를 제공하고자 하는 것이다.
본 발명의 대표적인 일 측면에 따르면, 그래핀 기반 물질의 기공도를 제어하여 프랙탈 차원을 조절하는 것을 특징으로 하는 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법에 관한 것이다.
상기 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법은
(A) 그래핀 기반 물질을 개질하는 단계; 및
(B) 상기 개질된 그래핀 기반 물질을 에어로졸 방식으로 3차원 구조를 형성하는 단계;를 포함하는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 (A) 단계는 40 내지 60 ℃의 온도에서 1 내지 5 시간 동안 수열 처리하는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 (B) 단계는 개질된 그래핀 기반 물질에 첨가제를 추가로 투입하여 3차원 구조를 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 첨가제는 금속-유기 골격구조체(Metal-organic frameworks, MOFs) 또는 금속 산화물을 포함하는 금속 입자(Metal particle)인 것이 바람직하다.
상기 그래핀 기반 물질은 산화 그래핀, 환원된 산화 그래핀 및 그래핀 중에서 선택된 1종 이상인 것이 바람직하다.
본 발명의 다른 대표적인 일 측면에 따르면, 상기 프랙탈 차원 조절방법을 통해 프랙탈 차원이 조절된 그래핀 기반 물질을 포함하는 전극 소재에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 또 다른 대표적인 일 측면에 따르면, 상기 전극 소재를 포함하는 전지에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 여러 구현예에 따르면, 그래핀 기반 물질의 기공도를 조절하는 개질 방법으로 용이하게 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원을 변화시키는데 현저한 효과를 나타낸다.
또한, 그래핀 기반 물질에 첨가제를 투입함으로써 다양한 응용분야로도 응용이 가능한 소재를 제공할 수 있다.
도 1은 실시예 1에서 사용된 산화 그래핀 용액(GO) 및 개질된 산화 그래핀 용액(GO-1)을 나타낸 이미지이다.

이하에서, 본 발명의 여러 측면 및 다양한 구현예에 대해 더욱 구체적으로 살펴보도록 한다.
본 발명의 일 측면에 따르면, 그래핀 기반 물질의 기공도를 제어하여 프랙탈 차원을 조절하는 것을 특징으로 하는 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법을 제공한다.
상기 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법은
(A) 그래핀 기반 물질을 개질하는 단계; 및
(B) 상기 개질된 그래핀 기반 물질을 에어로졸 방식으로 3차원 구조를 형성하는 단계;를 포함하는 것이 바람직하다.
보다 상세하게는 상기 (A) 단계는 그래핀 기반 물질을 개질하는 단계로 그래핀 기반 물질의 표면에 형성된 기공도를 조절하는 단계이다.
상기 그래핀 기반 물질은 수용액 상태에서 개질하는 것이 더욱 바람직한데, 이는 그래핀 기반 물질의 크기를 변화시키지 않고 표면에 형성된 기공도만 조절할 수 있기 때문이다. 또한, 대량 생산이 가능하며 그래핀 기반 물질의 구성 비율을 용이하게 조절이 가능함에 따라 다양한 물성 특정을 조절할 수도 있다.
구체적으로, 상기 수용액 상태의 그래핀 기반 물질을 40 내지 60 ℃의 온도에서 1 내지 5 시간 동안 화학 물질을 첨가하여 수열 처리하는 것이 바람직한데, 상기 온도 및 시간 범위를 벗어나는 경우에는 기공 사이즈가 커져서 산화 그래핀의 형태 및 크기를 유지할 수 없는 문제점이 발생하므로 바람직하지 않다. 더욱 바람직하게는 50 ℃의 온도에서 1 내지 5 시간 동안 수행하는 것이다.
상기 그래핀 기반 물질로는 산화 그래핀, 환원된 산화 그래핀 및 그래핀 중에서 선택된 1종 이상을 사용할 수 있다.
상기 (B) 단계는 개질된 그래핀 기반 물질을 에어로졸 방식으로 3차원 구조를 형성하는 단계이다.
이때, 상기 그래핀 기반 물질 이외에 첨가제를 추가로 투입하여 3차원 구조를 형성할 수 있는데, 상기 첨가제의 종류에 따라 다양한 소재로의 응용이 가능한 효과를 나타낸다.
구체적으로, 상기 에어로졸 공정은 90 내지 100 ℃의 온도에서 수행되는 것이 바람직한데, 상기 온도 범위를 벗어나는 경우에는 3차원 산화 그래핀 내부의 용매 함유량 차이로 인한 구조적 변형이 생기거나 산화 그래핀의 환원 정도가 달라질 수 있는 문제점이 발생할 수 있어 바람직하지 않다. 상기 에어로졸 공정 시간은 용액을 담는 챔버의 크기에 따라 달라질 수 있으므로 제한하지는 않는다.
상기 첨가제는 금속-유기 골격구조체(Metal-organic frameworks, MOFs) 또는 금속 산화물을 포함하는 금속 입자(Metal particle)인 것이 바람직하다. 상기 금속-유기 골격구조체는 예를 들면, ZIF(Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks)-8 등과 같이 금속 이온 또는 클러스터가 유기 리간드와 배위된 화합물로 1, 2, 3차원 구조를 형성하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 바람직하게는, 상기 금속 이온이 Pt, Au, Ag, Si, Ti, Sn, Zn, Mg, Ni, Mn, Zr, B, Al, Fe, Cu, W, V, Co 및 Ba 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 금속 원소를 포함하거나, 또는 Fe3O4, MnO2 및 SnO2 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 금속 산화물을 포함하는 것이다.
상기 금속 입자는 Pt, Au, Ag, Si, Ti, Sn, Zn, Mg, Ni, Mn, Zr, B, Al, Fe, Cu, W, V, Co 및 Ba 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 금속 원소를 포함하거나, 또는 Fe3O4, MnO2 및 SnO2 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 금속 산화물을 포함하는 것이 더욱 바람직하다.
이하에서 실시예 등을 통해 본 발명을 더욱 상세히 설명하고자 하며, 다만 이하에 실시예 등에 의해 본 발명의 범위와 내용이 축소되거나 제한되어 해석될 수 없다. 또한, 이하의 실시예를 포함한 본 발명의 개시 내용에 기초한다면, 구체적으로 실험 결과가 제시되지 않은 본 발명을 통상의 기술자가 용이하게 실시할 수 있음은 명백한 것이며, 이러한 변형 및 수정이 첨부된 특허청구범위에 속하는 것도 당연하다.
또한 이하에서 제시되는 실험 결과는 상기 실시예 및 비교예의 대표적인 실험 결과만을 기재한 것이며, 아래에서 명시적으로 제시하지 않은 본 발명의 여러 구현예의 각각의 효과는 해당 부분에서 구체적으로 기재하도록 한다.
실시예 1 내지 3: 산화 그래핀의 기공도 제어를 통한 프랙탈 차원 조절
산화 그래핀에 기공을 만들기 위해서 물에 분산된 산화 그래핀 용액(농도: 1 mg/mL) 100 mL에 과산화수소 5 mL와 암모니아수 5 mL를 넣고 50 ℃에서 1시간, 3시간, 5시간 각각 반응시킨다.(반응 시간이 길수록 기공도의 크기와 기공도가 커진다.) 반응이 끝난 후, 원심분리기를 이용하여 8000 rpm에서 90분 동안 분리하여 침전물과 상층액을 분리한다. 침전물에 물 50 mL를 넣고 흔들어 분산시켜 준 뒤, dialysis 튜브에 넣고 물이 담긴 비커에 담가서 남아있는 화학 물질을 제거해 준다. 비커에 있는 물을 하루에 4번씩 3일 동안 교체해 준다. 불순물이 제거된 용액의 농도를 동결건조법을 이용하여 계산하고 1 mg/mL 농도로 물에 분산시켜 용액으로 사용한다. 3차원 구조를 만들기 위해서 입자 발생기를 사용하였으며, 입자가 분사되어 나가는 연결 부위에 ㄱ자 관을 연결하여 heating tape을 사용하여 온도를 90~100 ℃로 맞추어 준다. ㄱ자 관 끝은 입자를 포집할 수 있는 고분자 막이 올려진 유리필터로 연결하고 유리필터는 진공 펌프와 연결한다. 입자가 분사되는 반대편은 입자가 유리필터 쪽으로 원활하게 흘러가게 하기 위해서 질소를 불어 넣어준다. 반응 시간은 용액을 담는 입자 발생기 챔버의 크기에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 동일한 실험 조건에서 기공도 차이에 의해 1시간, 3시간, 5시간 반응시킨 샘플의 프랙탈 차원을 조절하였다.
실시예 4: 첨가제를 함유한 3차원 구조의 개질된 산화 그래핀 제조
실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 산화 그래핀을 개질한 후, 여기에 비표면적을 늘리기 위해 산화 그래핀 대비 첨가제 ZIF-8를 0.2 wt.%를 첨가한 후(ZPGO) 실시예 1과 동일한 공정 조건을 사용하여 3차원 구조의 산화 그래핀을 제조하였다.
도 1은 실시예 1에서 사용된 산화 그래핀 용액(GO) 및 개질된 산화 그래핀 용액(GO-1)을 나타낸 이미지이다.
도 2는 실시예 1에서 사용된 산화 그래핀(GO) 및 개질된 산화 그래핀(GO-1)을 주사전자현미경으로 분석한 결과를 나타낸 SEM 이미지이다.
도 2를 참조하면, 개질된 산화 그래핀의 형태 및 크기가 개질 전 산화 그래핀과 동일하다는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 3은 실시예 1에서 사용된 산화 그래핀(GO) 및 개질된 산화 그래핀(GO-1)을 투과전자현미경으로 분석한 결과를 나타낸 TEM 이미지이다.
도 3을 참조하면, 개질된 산화 그래핀의 표면에 기공을 생겼다는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
도 4는 실시예 1의 3차원 구조의 산화 그래핀 및 개질된 산화 그래핀을 주사전자현미경으로 분석한 결과를 나타낸 SEM 이미지이다.
도 5는 실시예 1의 3차원 구조의 산화 그래핀을 투과전자현미경으로 분석한 결과를 나타낸 TEM 이미지이다.
도 6은 실시예 1에서 사용된 산화 그래핀 및 개질된 산화 그래핀의 BET(Brunauer-Emmett-Teller equation) 결과를 통해 개질된 산화 그래핀의 비표면적이 향상되었다는 결과를 나타낸 그래프이다.

또한, 그래핀 기반 물질에 첨가제를 투입함으로써 다양한 응용분야로도 응용이 가능한 소재를 제공할 수 있다.
Claims (8)
- 그래핀 기반 물질의 기공도를 제어하여 프랙탈 차원을 조절하는 것을 특징으로 하는 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법은(A) 그래핀 기반 물질을 개질하는 단계; 및(B) 상기 개질된 그래핀 기반 물질을 에어로졸 방식으로 3차원 구조를 형성하는 단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 (A) 단계는 40 내지 60 ℃의 온도에서 1 내지 5 시간 동안 수열 처리하는 것을 특징으로 하는 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 (B) 단계는 개질된 그래핀 기반 물질에 첨가제를 추가로 투입하여 3차원 구조를 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 첨가제는 금속-유기 골격구조체 또는 금속 산화물을 포함하는 금속 입자인 것을 특징으로 하는 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 그래핀 기반 물질은 산화 그래핀, 환원된 산화 그래핀 및 그래핀 중에서 선택된 1종 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 그래핀 기반 물질의 프랙탈 차원 조절방법.
- 제1항에 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 따라 프랙탈 차원이 조절된 그래핀 기반 물질을 포함하는 전극 소재.
- 제7항에 따른 전극 소재를 포함하는 전지.
