Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zur Vermessung der Oberfläche von auf einer Werkzeugmaschine, beispielsweise Dreh-, Fräs- oder Schleifmaschine, mittels eines Bearbeitungswerkzeugs bearbeiteten Werkstücken mittels eines Oberflächenmessgeräts, wird mit einem Messtaster die Oberfläche des Werkstücks zur Gewinnung von die Oberflächenform des Werkstücks repräsentierenden Messdaten abgetastet, wobei die Messdaten in einer mit dem Messtaster in Datenübertragungsverbindung stehenden oder bringbaren Auswertungseinrichtung ausgewertet werden. Erfindungsgemäß wird durch die Auswertungseinrichtung ein Verschleißzustanddes Bearbeitungswerkzeugs anhand von in den Messdaten repräsentierten werkzeugverschleißabhängigen Werkzeugspuren ermittelt.
