Definitions
- the invention relates to a cutting roller with an axis on which a
- Cutting ring is rotatably guided by means of a bearing device which is sealed against the environment by means of a sealing device.
- Cutting rollers of this type that are used for rock mining are state of the art, see DE 10 2012 220 434 A1.
- such cutting rollers are used as cutting tools on the front of the drilling head in tunnel boring machines.
- the bearing device of the respective cutting rings is protected against harmful environmental influences such as the ingress of dirt and the like by the associated sealing device.
- the larger drilling depths that are common in tunnel boring pose problems if the drilling takes place underwater or when water is ingress. As a result of the water pressure corresponding to the respective drilling depth, water enters despite the presence of the sealing device and thus the storage device is destroyed.
- the invention is based on the object of providing a cutting roller of the type mentioned at the outset which can be used in a rock-safe manner even when the water pressure prevails. According to the invention this object is achieved by a cutting roller which has the features of claim 1 in its entirety.
- an essential special feature of the invention is that any differential pressure between the bearing device and the environment can be compensated by means of a compensation device. Even when operating under water, the bearing device is reliably protected against the ingress of water thanks to the pressure compensation created by the compensating device. As a result, safe operation can also be operated in a fail-safe manner for deep-lying drilling routes where water pressure of up to 7 bar or higher must be expected.
- the compensating device has an elastically flexible separating element, the inside of which permanently carries the respective ambient pressure and the outside of which is connected to the bearing device in a pressure-carrying manner and thereby produces the ambient pressure in the latter.
- the arrangement can be made with particular advantage such that the separating element is accommodated in a cavity of the axle, which is connected to at least parts of the bearing device via a pressure-carrying connection.
- the compensating device is completely integrated into the axis of the cutting roller, so that the cutting roller according to the invention can be realized in a compact design and without an increase in size compared to the known cutting rollers.
- the separating element can advantageously have a storage bladder made of elastomeric material, which is attached to the fixed axis by means of a holding device. Direction is held, which has a connecting channel that establishes a leading connection between the interior of the separating element and the environment.
- the holding device has an end cover, into which the connecting duct opens centrally, to which feed ducts connect, which are brought into the top of the cover in a groove-like manner.
- the supply channels ensure that the connecting channel and thus the storage bladder, the ambient pressure is not only reported from a singular point in the environment, but from a larger surrounding area covered by the supply channels.
- the bearing device can advantageously have at least two rolling bearings, in particular special pairs of conical roller bearings, which are at least partially connected with their gap and / or seat geometries to the pressure-carrying connection.
- the arrangement can advantageously be such that the pressure-carrying connection consists of at least one transverse channel, which opens with one end into the cavity of the axis and with the other end opening out from this axis in the direction of a spacer sleeve opens, to which the inner ring of the respective rolling bearing is adjacent on both sides.
- the outer rings of the pair of rolling bearings can be connected to the cutting ring rotatable cutting ring and from each other parallel to the axis of rotation of the cutting ring an axial distance from each other, which corresponds to the length of the spacer sleeve or is preferably larger.
- the arrangement can advantageously be such that the sealing device consists of two pairs each there are two sealing rings, one facing the bearing device and one egg nem stationary part on the axis and the sealing of the bearing device at least against the environment before.
- the invention is according to claim 10 also a Tun nelvortriebsmaschine with a drill head on which at least one cutting roller is arranged according to one of claims 1 to 9.
- the invention is explained in detail below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. Show it:
- Figure 1 is a schematically simplified longitudinal section of the embodiment example of the cutting roller according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 shows a partial section of the district designated II in FIG. 1, enlarged in relation to FIG. 1;
- Figure 3 is a longitudinal section of the flexible separating element from the equalization device of the embodiment forming the bladder with associated holding device.
- Fig. 4 is a perspective oblique view of the storage bladder with holding device
- FIG. 6 shows an enlarged partial section of the region of the storage bladder designated VI in FIG. 5; and Fig. 7 shows the partial section of Fig. 6 with an end part modified outer shape.
- the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1 has a fixed axis 2 which defines the axis of rotation 6 for a cutting ring 4.
- the cutting ring 4 has a centrally located, radially projecting annular bead 8, on the radially outer, tapered end of which cutting inserts are provided in the manner customary for such cutting rollers, which are omitted in the schematically simplified representation of FIG. 1.
- the bearing device forming the rotary bearing for the cutting ring 4 is formed by a pair of roller bearings having a first tapered roller bearing 10 and a second tapered roller bearing 12, the respective inner ring 14 or 16 of which is held at an axial distance from one another by a spacer sleeve 18, surrounds axis 2.
- the inner rings 14 and 1 6 are held by means of bearing caps 20 and 22 on the axis 2 in contact with the spacer sleeve 18.
- the bearing cover 20 located on the left in FIG. 1 is fixed with a shoulder 24 to a radially projecting collar 26 of the axis 2.
- the opposite bearing cover 22, as a screw ring seated on the axis 2, forms the axial fixing of the bearing device in the opposite direction.
- the cutting ring 4 carrying outer rings 1 5 and 1 7 of the tapered roller bearings 10 and 12 are held by an inner collar 1 9 of the cutting ring 4 at an axial distance from each other, which is slightly larger than the axial length of the spacer sleeve 18.
- two pairs with sealing rings 28 and 30 are provided, of which the respective axially outer sealing ring 28 forms the seal to the fixed bearing cover 20 or 22 and the respective axially inner sealing ring 30 forms the seal to the circumferential cutting ring 4 ,
- the axis 2 has an inner cavity 32 which is coaxial with the axis of rotation 6 and which is closed at the end 34 located on the left in FIG. 1 and is open at the opposite end 36.
- the cavity 32 of the axis 2 is through transverse bores 38 to the outer circumference open towards.
- a Me dienthetic from the cavity 32 of the axis 2 to the interior of the bearing device is formed over gaps which are located on the outer circumference of the axis in the region of the inner rings 14, 1 6 and the spacer sleeve 18.
- the cutting roller according to the invention has a compensating device which produces a pressure compensation between the surroundings and the cavity 32 and thus the bearing device.
- the compensating device has a movable separating element in the form of an elastically flexible storage bladder 40, which is shown separately in FIG. 5 and is formed from an elastomer. 1 and 2 most clearly show, the storage bladder 40 is installed from the open end 36 of the cavity 32 in the sen so that the outside of the storage bladder 40 via the transverse bores 38 is pressurized with the bearing device in connection, while the inside the bladder 40 is in communication with the environment.
- a device that can be screwed into the open end 36 of the cavity 32 is provided as a holding device 42, which has a coaxial connecting channel 44 which creates the connection between the environment and the inside of the memory bladder 40.
- the storage bladder 40 has an edge bead 52 surrounding its opening 50 at the open end.
- the end cover 42 has, as shown in FIG. 3, at the inner end of the connec tion channel 44 an extension 54 into which an annular groove is incorporated, which engages behind an annular part 58 with an undercut wall part 56, which extends at the edge bead 52 in the direction of the interior of the storage bladder 40.
- FIG. 7 shows a variant for the shape of the edge bead 52a, which can be fixed in a correspondingly modified shape of the annular groove (not shown) on the extension 54 of the end cover 42.
- the spaces adjacent to the inside of the storage bladder 40 and the spaces adjacent to the outside of the storage bladder 40 are each at the same pressure level.
- the storage bladder 40 expands until the equilibrium pressure between the inside of the bladder and the outside is reached, i.e. the cavity 32.
- This also leads to pressure equalization in the storage unit via the transverse bores 38, i.e. for adapting the internal bearing pressure to the ambient pressure. This pressure equalization ensures that the sealing device in
- Shape of the pairs of sealing rings 28, 30 ensures reliable protection of the tapered roller bearings 10, 12 against environmental influences, so that the cutting roller according to the invention can be operated safely even when an external water pressure occurs.
- the above-described function of the storage bladder 40 can also be supported by a foam filling in that an elastically flexible foam material is permanently introduced into the storage bladder 40.
